Carthago is a gem. Food is fabulous. Fresh. Different. Beautifully cooked. Thoroughly recommended. Visit, you will not regret it.

Fancied something different and what a great restaurant. A varied menu choice and the food was very tasty. I had chicken shawarma with a side of harissa to spice it up. A great dish but the best was the almond, honey basbousa for desert which I highly recommend. My wife had the Salmon kabkabou and that was delicious too. Great friendly service to top it off

**Real gem in Northern Ireland - authentic Mediterranean/North African food** Once you enter Carthago, you are transported in a little village in North Africa! The decor is so real! We go regularly (but not often enough!) and each time is better than the time before! We walked through most of the menu now and food is fresh, tasty, delicious and most importantly authentic. Last night we had ‘brick a l’œuf’ which is some kind of filo pastry filled with a mixture of potatoes spices and an egg. I added the tuna as an option (but could have been chicken or nothing), all this deep fried. I then had the turkey special (marinated turkey breast with vegetable couscous - super healthy and delicious). Other half had a big plates of prawns in garlic and the lamb special Rfissa Hara (slow cooked lamb over flat bread). Got complementary dips with warm fresh bread as we waited. It’s also BYO which is great.

A family birthday meal. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. It is BYO it made for a great experience. Will be back!

Fantastic food and atmosphere in this place. We were a party of 6 out to celebrate my dads birthday. We were hoping for flavour packed fresh food and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
