Just got a takeaway as a treat for our mums on Mother’s Day. The food was amazing and great value for money. We were also given a bottle of wine as we had placed such a big order - a really lovely touch! Can’t recommend this restaurant and the staff enough.
We just thought we’d try here as golf clubs generally have a good reputation for their food . Best decision of the holiday , food was delicious, good quality and well presented. All four of us cleared our plates . Staff were so friendly, adapted menu with no hesitation to suit ‘the awkward one’ . Beautiful views from the restaurant, definitely a hidden gem

Young lady served me, found her to be not interested in serving, said what when she did not understand English … did not ask if I wanted sauce on my sub. Supposed to be toasted but sub was only in the toaster for less than 30 seconds . It’s cold eating it and the bread is not toasted at all, overall very poor.

We booked for the Sunday carvery today, totally honest it was a massive let down. Super super rushed, reception staff were unnecessarily rude, we queued for quite a while for both starters and mains which is all forgivable The major issue was the food, I have had carvery from most of the big spots in ni and to be honest this was the worst. The ribs (actually just pure fatty pork belly) chicken wings and cocktail sausages were worryingly cold, the salad counter was a mess I actually couldn't believe it, the stuff was bad, totally honest it was just not good, this was at 1pm not the end of the day, turkey was so so dry and again it was only early in the sitting , the saving grace was the bits and pieces along with the main, veg, stuffing etc. Really tasty, and Dessert was actually lovely. Little gripe that they had no decaf coffee, such a big operation and I've never had an issue in any other restaurant or carvery about decaf coffee. Just lots of little let downs unfortunately.
We were here for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it. Staff here are exceptional. Without exception, they were friendly and helpful.
The food was delicious, especially the cabbage cooked with nutmeg, a new thing for me, and the roasted root vegetables.
We were welcomed and seated promptly, drinks and menus came quickly and we had plenty of space at a table with a proper tablecloth and napkins.
Another really good experience and I would recommend it.
Last minute booking on a Sunday evening and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent, and staff were extremely friendly. Woupd highly.recommend; suitable for all occasions; families / couples / groups.
A great spot.
Visited today for an impromptu Sunday lunch and thankfully we could be fitted in … one of the best Sunday lunches out for a very long time. Really lovely food and service. Will definitely hope to be back! Would highly recommend.
