The best restaurants in North Eastern NI

Had to wait 1 hour 15mins for our main to arrive and when the food did arrive parts of it were missing They had also forgot about a kids meal which was then another 10 mins. When we mentioned the long wait we were told it was very busy even though half the tables were empty. Very poor service Some staff members not very helpful

Called in and got 2 take away carvary. Absolutely brilliant selection and plenty of it! Would highly recommend a visit. If you can't sit in then get it for takeaway. You will not be disappointed 👍

Absolutely lovely stay at a Family Run Hotel. Michelle couldn't have been more accommodating. The staff were brilliant and the room was great. Delicious Full Breakfast just added to the 5* treatment. Highly Recommended for your stay!

Honestly I have no idea why this restaurant had such a high review. The food was actively terrible, and I am not a picky eater. It also was so expensive. The service was not friendly and very slow. The restaurants was dirty and smelled strange. We stayed at the hotel, which was lovely, but I would NOT recommend eating at the restaurant.

Perfect for a quiet breakfast, friendly staff

Donnellys of Rathkenny is a local shop that could offer more, but my experience was quite disappointing. While the store carries a decent selection of products and serves the local community, the customer service is where it seriously falls short. During a recent visit on a Sunday, I had the unfortunate encounter with a young man working there, with black, greasy hair, who was extremely disrespectful. His attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive, and he acted like helping customers was a burden. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also made the shopping experience uncomfortable. It’s frustrating when staff seem uninterested in providing even basic courtesy. The shop itself may be convenient, but when you're treated poorly, it makes you reconsider whether it's worth coming back. If you're planning to visit, be aware that the service especially on Sundays might not be as friendly as you'd expect from a local shop. Unfortunately, the attitude of this particular employee overshadowed the positives, and I left feeling dissatisfied.

First time trying and food top class , and service as good as it gets friendly , attentive and great banter and offered a free sampler to their most popular dish .... highly recommended , nice relaxed no rush atmosphere

I travel 45 miles to eat here. I get the belly buster. Absolute bargain for the 18 pieces you get. Only £11. Service is extremely friendly. Nice wee café.

We just thought we’d try here as golf clubs generally have a good reputation for their food . Best decision of the holiday , food was delicious, good quality and well presented. All four of us cleared our plates . Staff were so friendly, adapted menu with no hesitation to suit ‘the awkward one’ . Beautiful views from the restaurant, definitely a hidden gem

Young lady served me, found her to be not interested in serving, said what when she did not understand English … did not ask if I wanted sauce on my sub. Supposed to be toasted but sub was only in the toaster for less than 30 seconds . It’s cold eating it and the bread is not toasted at all, overall very poor.

AUGUST 24 Update The Valentinos Magic is back! The quality of ingredients is excellent, the taste of the food is now top notch. Valentinos is back to being the best Pizza Supplier In Ballyclare. You want Quality and Taste? Then you pay for it at Valentinos. The staff are also pleasant and appreciate your custom. If you want Passable, Cheap and Cheerful then go to Domino's. I can't honestly believe I am giving 5 Stars for a Pizza restaurant. But honestly they deserve it. Pay good money for good food.

To all staff, we attended with 17 Bobbys staff over 2 nights, your hospitality, quality food and service was simply first class, excellent and extensive menu, fine Guinness and very reasonably priced, we will 100% be back, you should call yourselves TOP IN THE TOWN because you are, well done and massive thanks to you all👍👍👍

Was up doing a piano hire job ,this is beautiful hotel and surrounding very nice staff friendly and obliging
