First time trying and food top class , and service as good as it gets friendly , attentive and great banter and offered a free sampler to their most popular dish .... highly recommended , nice relaxed no rush atmosphere

What a fabulous meal out at Kathmandu Inn! I am a coeliac so eating out somewhere new is a very scary thing. Our lovely waiter Ashish was beyond fantastic. He liaised with the kitchen, coming back and for to our table numbers times. Asked lots of questions to myself and answered any I had. From an allergy/intolerance perspective this place is amazing, educated but not afraid to ask more to ensure the customers safety. The food itself- utterly spectacular. Beyond delicious. Restaurant was clean and tidy. All in all I canny recommend this place enough.

We visited Kathmandu recently for the first time since Covid and were delighted both with the quality of the food and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We will return! The Himalayan lamb curry was outstanding and the Crispy chicken starter superb.

This restaurant consistently delivers excellent food. My husband and I regularly go here when we fancy some Indian food and would highly recommend a visit. The staff are second to none as no matter when we go they are always polite and welcoming. Food is of a very high standard and prices are affordable. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and extremely clean. A hidden gem indeed and although it is located above the spar there is a lift for anyone with mobility issues.

Staff were fantastic, we were all met with a friendly and welcoming greeting. Lovely ambience, spacious restaurant. Huge choice of menu which the staff were happy to go through any questions you may have, very knowledgeable of each dish as one of our family members is a celiac and needs to watch her diet very carefully. Food was fantastic, great portion sizes too plus nothing was too much trouble for the staff. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out. I'll definitely be back. Go on, give it a try, you know you want to 😉

My boyfriend and I are trying to find better Indian food than this restaurant, we've been to countless restaurants in the United Kingdom, and to this day it remains magnificent, simply the best Indian food we've ever eaten

By far the best curry house in NI for me I’ve tried all the Belfast places and they are not close and that’s from someone who regularly travels to Birmingham, Manchester London etc for proper curries and Namaste is right up there with the best.

Within the local area this is THE place to go. Great food & service but can be a bit quiet at times. 9-10 vegetarian options.

I have re-reviewed and removed a star as I do think the quality of the food has went down a bit in the last 6 months with the prices going up and portion sizes not great especially the likes of the chicken Pakora starter. A few details of recent experiences. Ordered onion Bhaji and they were as flat as pancakes, not good at all. Ordered Vindaloo sauce and then the next week madras sauce, pretty much identical. I do find this with a lot of their sauces not much difference at all, ie special Jalferezi much the same. Also i suspect they are using far too much ginger as it shouldn't burn when you pee after eating a curry, definitely not from chilli as I eat a lot of superhot chillis/hot food and this doesn't happen. Really the only thing i still would order is the Katmnandu Chilli chicken. Used to get Bombay potatoes but very very pricey now especially for the side dish version of it. Have been a regular customer but they need to up their game in food quality and portions to charge the prices they are charging.

What a fantastic takeaway we just had it’s always first class but tonight it was next level super tasty made a bit hotter than it should be on my request and it really was on the money delish thanks so much for not only great food but great delivery service too 😎

I had tried a few Indian restaurants and didn’t understand why people loved them so much, until I tried here & thankfully this one is located 5 minutes from my house - dining in and delivery is always spot on, portions are great and the food always hits the spot.

Took a few mins to find it as its above the Spar but it was well worth it. Flavours were amazing, really authentic currys and felt welcomed. Would come back again

Shocking!!! Food has always been amazing, but ordered a veggie madras, it basically had 15 boiled potatoes 2 tiny bits of carrot and 1 bi of cabbage!! Never again!! Although the nan bread and rice was lovely as always!! But £17.40 as a treat was bad!!

This Restaurant came highly recommended to us and it lived up to all expectations. We booked last minute and got a table on a Friday evening. Arrived and had a lovely warm well by a lovely girl i think called Ahrisa she was our table host and was so friendly . We both had starters , i had Lamb Taash had to be the best i’ve ever tasted , my friend had the veg starter and said it was very good . Now when i was ordering i asked could i have Coconut rice with my mains Ahrisa said they didn’t have it on the menu but she would ask the chef , i said no it’s ok il have pilau . When the mains came didn’t i have coconut rice , i love that they put effort into making me coconut rice . We both had Butter Chicken and it is the best i have tasted so creamy but also an edge of spice and herbs .. Thank you to all the lovely friendly staff for making our visit not only delish but super friendly. we will definitely be back a whole bunch of stars ⭐️ from us

Meal was fantastic, service was great. Didn’t rate the atmosphere because I was very early and the first through the door….but…has all the ingredients of a fun place to eat.

I was working in Nothern Ireland for a few days, and called at this restaurant for a meal. I am quite a connoisseur when it comes to Indian food. The Vindaloo I ordered was not properly blended with herbs and spices to give it the heat and flavour, instead it was a dark thick texture that had obviously been filled with Garam masala and lots of chilli powder to achieve the heat! It was worse than a jar of curry from the supermarket. The price was also ridiculous, but I accepted the cost hoping for a good meal, but as mentioned, it was awful. I don’t write reviews, and probably wouldn’t have had it not been for the final experience when paying the bill. I had looked at the menu, and they had a pint of cobra, priced at £5.50, that all they listed for fraught beer. As I was driving, I ordered half a pint, guessing it would be half the cost like anywhere else, there wasn’t a price for half on the menu. When the bill came, it was £4.50!! £1 cheaper than a pint. When I questioned it, they said that’s what they charge for a half, I said if that’s the case it should be listed on the menu. I said I would pay a pound extra and have another half to make it a pint, but they refused to do that, I complained saying it was terrible service and left. Had it been nice food, I would have accepted it, but the whole experience was terrible and the food was no better than a bad takeaway meal. So, not recommended at all, avoid if possible.

I’ve only had take away from here until yesterday when we sat in. It wasn’t very busy and the atmosphere was very nice. The food has always been gorgeous and sitting in this time we found the staff to be so attentive and friendly. Will definitely be dining in more.

Decided to give this place a try on a Wednesday night, I was pleasantly surprised as it was really busy, service was excellent, menu was vast and what we ordered was very good, drinks had a wide variety, overall had an excellent experience

Food was great, with more robust flavours than we often get in NI. Sadly, no matter how well treated we were afterwards, being ignored by a staff member while she pushed her mates up the queue really put a damper on the whole evening.

Called here for a take away.....was recommended by a friend.....food was awful.....place was grubby/dusty....deff needs a good clean and up the standard of chicken served....won't be going back any time soon.

So many options for our party of vegetarian and vegan friends. The food was so fresh and was absolutely delicious, huge portions too! Staff were so welcoming, polite and friendly - highly recommend!

We tried a number of different starters and curries and glad to say most of it was very enjoyable. The curries all had their own distinct flavours, something you don't find in many Indian restaurants. Service was also good attentive but not intrusive. Well worth a try and we will be back.

It was my brothers birthday and we ordered 12 different take away meals With out doubt this is the very best take away food that any of us had eaten All 12 meals were different and all magnificent. Hands down the best Indian restaurant in NI. We get takeaways from here pretty regularly and the quality of the food is so good we sometimes take it for granted! Not only that but the customer service is always fantastic from those working in the restaurant to the delivery drivers. Best indian/Nepalese food I've ever had , we had lamb passanda and himalayain lamb curry , unbelievable 😋 Service was so good I left a tip

Good staff food is very good but mind tell them how hot and spicy you like your food they will adjust to suit your taste

Lovely food, friendly polite staff, it's very nice inside, great to have the takeaway choice or sit in. I would recommend the Lamb Sage!! would not consider going anywhere else for this type of food. Make sure you are hungry as there's plenty of food in a meal there.

Excellent food. We normally use another Indian restaurant in the centre of Ballyclare but not anymore. Kathmandu is far superior and obviously the chef's know how to cook Indian food to a high level. The place is also spotlessly clean with friendly well trained staff.

Can no longer guarantee dairy-free meals. This is absolute basics for providing food. It makes me question the authenticity of their cuisine. India has the most vegans in the world. Shocking.

Lovely food but very long wait for food to be served.

There is an app to order on. We picked up our meal from the restaurant which is situated on a main road above a petrol station. The decor is very pleasant, but I waited on a chair for the well packaged food to appear. We ordered a range of dishes which were all delicious and generous in portion size. Very enjoyable indeed.

I reviewed them on their own app, and gave 4 stars and a constructive suggestion, and it's been deleted. I can't understand why companies delete their negative comments, it helps customers make an informed decision, it lets management know how customers feel, and gives them areas to improve on. I was looking forward to my Kathmandu Indian all week, ordered on the app as usual, I was even ready to pay £5.50 delivery charge because it's a special occasion. 20 minutes of messing around with the app trying to get the payment to go through, on top of the 55 minute wait for delivery, still all fine! I was so looking forward to my dinner!! Rang and placed an order, they can't take a card payment over the phone 🤬 I usually have some cash in the house, but with more places preferring card during Covid, I had £10 and some coins. If you're not taking card on the app, if your website is closed, and you ONLY accept cash on delivery, THATS FINE, be upfront with your customers. These are challenging times for businesses, but if you're struggling and not able to take a card payment for financial or other reasons, be clear so that your customers can prepare and still deal with you. And never delete what you deem to be negative feedback, because it makes you look untrustworthy and like you have something to hide.

The prawn korma I had was so delicious! 100% recommend it for a mild dish packed with flavour. We forgot to order rice separately thought (been that long since we ate out!) - so you need to do that!

Just had the most amazing delivery from Kathmandu. At a time such as this a tasty meal like that goes a long way. The prices are excellent and with only £2 delivery it ticks all the boxes. Couldn't fault a single thing, absolutely beautiful!

Got delivered ordered for 1925 comes at 1800 wrong order ring up to say driver comes back 1820 then comes back with same food 1840 ( coz marked the trays and bag chips ) manager nothing but cheeky ###### on phone his business surly doesn't look after his locals

Good variety on the menu & they offer a takeaway menu as well. Food is lovely & portion size is decent but the food is quite pricey in comparison to other Indian style restaurants near by. Overall I’d recommend though.
