Ashfields far exceeded our expectations. Friendly, welcoming servers and outstanding food. Every effort was made to ensure we had a positive dining experience and I would definitely recommend a visit. Excited to see what the 2024/25 programme of events has to offer.

This pub was recommended to us so we went for Sunday lunch. It was amazing value for money and fantastic food. We will definitely be going again.

We called in for a coffee and a look around the little shops on site. The coffee was lovely. We then booked a table to return for our lunch. There was a nice choice of sandwiches, panini's, soup, daily specials, homemade cakes & scones, tea, coffees, milkshakes & cold drinks. The staff were very friendly and efficient & the coffee shop had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We chose the ham cheese & red onion chutney panini which came with a side of crisps and dressed salad with a pot of tea with a cheese scone to follow. The tea was served in lovely vintage china crockery & the panini was very tasty indeed. It can take a little while for your food to come especially at busy times as it is all prepared and cooked to order, but it is well worth the wait. You won't be disappointed 10/10

Perfect! Went for lunch with friends. Service delightful. Food excellent. Interior design just beautiful. Too busy enjoying the whole ambience to take photos! Afterwards we sat outside by the village pond reflecting on the whole experience!

Excellent 3 night stay. Food was lovely as was the service (especially a certain chap from Skeggy)! Room was decent and well priced.

My husband, family and I have visited the pheasant on numerous occasions over many years. Liam and his team give outstanding service and offer exceedingly comfortable boutique accommodation in a gorgeous rural setting. The roaring log burner and atmospheric lighting and candles offer a welcoming cosy ambience. The dining and wine experience is superb, sensibly priced and we recommend to anyone seeking an affordable luxurious getaway.

The staff were excellent and the dishes which were all but 1 different were served at the same time to the 6 of us. The food was good and prices were reasonable.

We get a Chinese from Golden Lion once a fortnight for the last 6 years or more, Fantastic food every time, we have tried other Chinese takeaways in malton but always go back to the golden lion, only thing I wouid say is DO NOT order through BIG FOODIE online it is alot more expensive order direct with Golden Lion

Always stop here on route up north for some tasty treats. This time it was pasty and 2 cinnamon buns which tasted amazing!

Popped in for Tea and Cakes, very large fruit scone, terrific cheesecake. Helpful friendly staff, sits about 30 so not large, just friendly and cosy. Very reasonably prices. Will happily return for lunch sometime, vegetarian friendly and licensed bar. Attached garden centre well worth a wander around.
