Popped in for Tea and Cakes, very large fruit scone, terrific cheesecake. Helpful friendly staff, sits about 30 so not large, just friendly and cosy. Very reasonably prices. Will happily return for lunch sometime, vegetarian friendly and licensed bar. Attached garden centre well worth a wander around.

We have been here a few times but never for Sunday dinner so we booked for two persons, being here for 12 pm made us the first to be in and we had the place for a short time ,we were asked for our preferences like small £8.50 or normal £10 pork, chicken or mixed the website did not mention two choices, I noticed reserve signs on a few of the tables so definitely book first for Sunday dinner,we had two dinners and two teas which came to just over£25 and it was very nice we even took some home for supper its 10 minutes away from my home so u will be back for more, the tables for four are quite adequate but our table for two is a bit pressed for space when everything is on like plates two teapots and cups a little tray in the middle for condiments even my plate was just overhanging off the table slightly so we were stuck for room for anything else not that we needed anything else thought

I went with friends for Sunday lunch after seeing the photos of the Sunday lunch on their Facebook page.We all chose the large beef roast meal. What a disappointment, the roast beef was minuscule the three portions combined did not constitute a slice of beef. We all had two strips of meat each not even the size of a match box and had gristle running through each piece. Heaven knows what the small plate was like. The mashed potato was very wet and lumpy. Luckily the other veg and Yorkshire pudding were edible. After complaining the cost was reduced to the price of a small plate. Will not not be going back

We visited again for tea I noticed they had a ramp installed now for wheelchairs with pleasant owners at the helm too although the Waze app is now fixed to get you here the trip advisor website lists it's address at sandy flats lane where it used to be situated not piannerman lane where it is now and as for the map location whilst using that site well that is several miles out .I can recommend the tea shed

This shed has been relocated the new address is at ts7 0nx but be warned if you use the Waze app,she takes you up Tunstall lane and terminates there although you are near the building you can’t get to it from here you need to be on the main 172 and the sign for the rainbow plant centre that is where the tea shed is located we had a nice breakfast for a tenner each with beans toast poached egg mushrooms a sausage a tea or coffee ,the place has just opened but we will be back soon

Decent choice of food available however we ordered pie mash Mushy peas and gravy. Only had 1 pie (so got a pasty as there was 2 of us) Mash was made from a jacket potato it was very lumpy tinned peas over blasted in the microwave served with a smile however forgot the gravy and it arrived half way through us eating the meal. Sadly this place could be a little gold mine if run correctly and proper attention to detail applied with the food. We hafmd our lunch at 12.15 so there was no way they could have ran out of mash? Could do better really

Booked the brewery tour package from Red Letter days. The tour was very informative with Josh being a fountain of knowledge and obviously loving brewing and beer. His witty remarks and low key humour really made the tour enjoyable. The beer tasting in the bar was flexible and offered a pint taken eith as a pint, two halves or a flight of 3, third pints to enable a range to be tried! Although a small brewery they have some quite advanced mechanisation for bottling, canning and casking! Very impressed,

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

Really friendly and tasty fare. Plenty of choice which was a real representation of good Yorkshire fare. Reasonably priced too
