Almorzamos en Marinella's hoy para una pequeña celebración y fue simplemente perfecto. Marinella nos recibió con calidez y nos mostró a nuestra mesa. La decoración es sencilla y acogedora. Pedimos carciofi y sardinas para empezar y cotoletta de ternera y tonno barcellona para la red. Todo estaba en el lugar y realmente me recordó a casa. Terminamos con una rodaja o torta della nonna y probablemente el mejor cannolo que tuve fuera de Sicilia. El café también era bueno y adecuado. Me encantó. Volveremos. Thanks Marinella.

Always nice to visit this store. Have a laugh with the ladies there, oh and the Cholent was lovely, brought back memories of my mum cooking it in the oven all night.lol

A great library with plenty of parking, and desk spaces but in the morning sometimes noisy with young children’s singing groups.

Amici in my opinion is second to none. This is how a restaurant should be it is beautiful and we where spoiled for choice with the menu and overall experience. The high quality of service and meals where just outstanding. Overall we where more than happy and would be happy to return. Outstanding restaurant thanks to the people there

Incredibly rude staff! The most unwelcoming shop I’ve ever been in. Dark haired woman was absolutely abhorrent!

Frequent visitor. Relaxing atmosphere, staff are friendly. Extensive menu with veggie options.

Friendly welcome on entry, shown to our table without delay. Tables weren’t in close proximity so you felt comfortable. Didn’t even need to go to the bar to order drinks, efficient staff promptly came and placed our order. (This service continued throughout the duration of the meal.) Food was hot and delicious also a generous portion. Plates were taken away but not before we were asked if we were finished and ready for our next course. I can honestly say this was the most organised welcoming Christmas dinner we have enjoyed as a family in a long time, nothing was too much trouble and it was service with a smile. We were extremely happy to leave a generous tip to express our gratitude. Can not praise the staff enough. Will definitely book next year.

Went there today for boxing day lunch (prebooked). After waiting over a hour my husband went to the bar to ask when they were going to start serving, a person behind the bar asked if we had prebooked told her yes, she went to look said it hadn't been uploaded onto the system and they would sort it straight away, 5 minutes later a server came to tell us that one of the starters we'd ordered we couldn't have as the prawns were already mixed with the sauce, we threw the towel in then and asked for our deposits back which we were given with apologies from the server but it was not her fault, it was the fault of the manager for not doing the job properly. I am extremely upset about this as my husband and I were taking our daughter and grandchildren out for lunch had they'd not had a dinner christmas day.

King on the Lane also know as the penny fun to the locals is a nice friendly pub with great staff and friendly locals. This place can get very busy and rowdy on a weekend with the local young one's but all in all a great local pub with the Allerton center on its doorstep for places like sainsburys and subway and the local library.
