Afternoon tea here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Best afternoon tea we have had any where ! You get 2 hot meals , vegetarian option available, and a selection of Siritas wonderful cakes. Their selection of loose leaf teas is unbeatable, with top ups available. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the staff are wonderful! Afternoon tea is a must for any celebration or just treat yourself. We visit here quite often from our home in co Durham, it's well worth the drive. Our favourite please to eat out.

This spot is great for a quiet lunch made with the freshest ingredients. We loved the Brie & cranberry grilled cheese sandwich, but everything, every salad & dessert was delicious!!

Amazing dinner here - loved the decor/style, felt like we had been transported to somewhere in France, small and cosy, intimate and just loved the little bustling bar at the front of the restaurant. Food was amazing - everything so good, including the fabulous home baked sourdough. This is a place for a special occasion and we will be back. Think they are open for lunch too and interested to try that.

Perfect sensibly priced Sunday lunch of moules mariniere (with Vanora's sourdough bread) followed by Roast Beef (sirloin, nice and pink), Yorkshire pudding, proper gravy, caulifower cheese, roast potatoes, beetroot and carrots in cosy relaxed French bistro surroundings. Top quality reasonably priced French wines (Chardonnay followed by Languedoc red). Thanks as ever to Andrew and Vanora who are excellent hosts.

A fabulous menu perfectly executed in lovely intimate surroundings. This is a great addition to Ripon’s culinary scene. We have a holiday let in Ripon and always like to recommend good eateries, Vanora’s will be going to the top of the list. I had Vanora’s famous sourdough with my pate starter, it was far better than my own! So looking forward to returning as soon as we are back in Ripon. Thank you.

The service and atmosphere here are truly lovely. A really pleasant place to eat and enjoy a drink and meal. We went as family and felt welcomed and well looked after throughout our meal. The meal itself was ok. We had a Sunday roast and everything on it was ok except for the Yorkshire puddings. Although they looked huge and spectacular they had been cooked and reheated and this meant they were rock solid. We couldn’t even get a knife and fork into them. So although I would definitely come back I don’t think I’d opt for the roast next time.

Lovely place to eat in Ripon, excellent friendly service, delicious food, good variety even vegetarian and vegan, highly recommend a visit here.

Ate here three times with my good lady when visiting the lovely ripon excellent food superb service would recommend it .

Went for dinner, we both had the risotto, I had the gorgonzola risotto which was amazing and my friend had the salmon and prawn. A lovely glass of white wine, which was served well chilled and was a very nice wine. Very helpful and friendly staff. We went early doors, but the restaurant soon filled up, and had a great atmosphere.

Arrived 12md, busy but table available. Prompt service of table service order. Excellent quiche of the day, generous warm slice, thin , crispy, tasty pastry ( not usually a fan of any pastry), served with colourful fresh salad of generous helping. Large pots of tea served with pot of hot water. Competitive prices.
