This little restaurant only has twelve covers but delivers to each person in spades. Simple menu.simple wine list, but delivering spot on service and food. We will be back. Thank you.

A fabulous menu perfectly executed in lovely intimate surroundings. This is a great addition to Ripon’s culinary scene. We have a holiday let in Ripon and always like to recommend good eateries, Vanora’s will be going to the top of the list. I had Vanora’s famous sourdough with my pate starter, it was far better than my own! So looking forward to returning as soon as we are back in Ripon. Thank you.

Amazing dinner here - loved the decor/style, felt like we had been transported to somewhere in France, small and cosy, intimate and just loved the little bustling bar at the front of the restaurant. Food was amazing - everything so good, including the fabulous home baked sourdough. This is a place for a special occasion and we will be back. Think they are open for lunch too and interested to try that.

Came here after reading a recent review in the Yorkshire Post and wasn't disappointed.. Will gladly come back. Food/Drinks A small menu of classics keeps things simple. Local beers and a selection of 3 white, 3 red and 1 fizz, each available by the glass or bottle. Lobster Bisque/French onion soup. Baby sole meunier with veg/Beef short rib with mash. Brownie with ice-cream/Manchego cheesecake with honey. Glass of wine each and finished with a coffee. Everything we had was tasty, a good size and well presented. Plenty of gluten free options with the chef and host being very accommodating. At £96 for 3 excellent courses, wine and coffee, we were full and very happy indeed. Staff/Atmosphere Genuinely loved the place. Venora couldn't have been more welcoming and we enjoyed the relaxed feel and French bistro vibe. Plenty of buzz coming from the lively bar through the glass partition. Overall If I had to highlight one very small area for improvement, I would recommend tidying up the back of the restaurant. Walking to the toilet and passing boxes piled up and knife and fork racks all precariously stacked slightly takes the gloss off the experience of the lovely dining area. A simple curtain or better storage would suffice. That said, Tartine is my kind of place. It's unfussy, honest, well made food from people that clearly love what they do. The fact that it is so small and intimate only adds to its charm. Fantastic place!

From the warm welcome, the ambience to the food, this is a must visit place. A well thought out menu means there is something for every palate and the choice of wines is more than adequate for this relaxing French bistro feel establishment. We were a party of 10 and everything arrived piping hot and at a well judged pace. This place deserves success for the experience that the chef patron and his lovely wife have created. We will, for sure, be back👏👏

Stopped at the tearoom for lunch during a visit to Ripon. My wife had the savoury cream tea. It was the best scone she has ever had, delicious. I had the ham and cheese toastie. This was also delicious, better than any offering I've made myself. Definitely worth a visit.

We have been to Sarita’s wonderful cafe-restaurant a number of times now, and it is always fab! The food, service and ambience are just great. This was the first time we had tried the ‘Raj afternoon tea’, which Sarita and her colleague very kindly prepared for us, even though usually you have to order it 24 hrs ahead. It was sooo delicious, and especially nice to have some really good Indian savouries as well as the sweet treats. Sarita talked us through all the different items she had made, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. We even had some cakes left to take home with us. How she manages to make so many lovely things every day will always remain a mystery - this lady must never sleep! Thanks Sarita - you are amazing!

Was staying locally and popped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The graffiti/street art exterior belies the fact this is a calm, peaceful local cafe. Crepes and waffles seem to be their thing but my avocado brunch was superb.

Has been closed for a few months now and I recently read on their FB page that they are not reopening. A pity as it was a decent local place with very good food.
