We waited 55 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being that busy and having no warning about any delay. The food itself (when it eventually arrived) was tasty but the service was really bad, with no one interested in taking our order or checking on us at any point. This was topped off by a bizarre interaction with the waiter when I ordered a bottle of Peroni, who tried to make me change my order to an Efes. I get it, it's a Turkish beer and a nice one, I just happen to prefer Peroni. It then arrived pre-poured in a half-pint glass and there was no sign of the rest of my 330ml bottle, which we were charged for in full. Luckily, I was spared the embarrassment a second time because no one ever came back to offer me another drink when I finished it. We could have just come on a bad day, other reviews are largely positive, but we didn't get more than a cursory apology or even a thank you and goodbye when we left. Overall, this was some of the worst service I've ever had eating out.

Fantastic hotel, great price and excellent food. Liked · An amazing hotel to stay at. Excellent price, super friendly and professional staff. Great location and the breakfast was excellent. The facilities were very good, a very comfy bed and although the bathroom was small, it was extremely clean and modern. Disliked · I wasn't personally affected, and although there is an internal lift, it didn't look like the building was completely step-free.

Rude.. I walked in to get a drink before heading home bar man walked up to me and told me to leave. I was like I've just came in.. I've done nothing wrong he said I don't care leave I was like, "Can I speak to the landlord he said he was the landlord if that's how you speak to customers I'd avoid this place at all costs lots of other more accommodating bars local to this place try them first avoid avoid avoid !

Probably the smallest most expensive bacon sandwich I’ve ever had. Looked like one rasher of streaky bacon served in a small toasted muffin. £8.50. It was hot though. My friend ordered eggs Benedict which was served Luke warm, poached eggs were too well done and not runny, the hollandaise wasn’t warm either, cold ham, cold eggs and a flaccid luke warm sauce. What looked like a store bought croissant, wanted it warmed through, it arrived barely luke warm, it wasn’t one of the usual nice crisp croissants but the sort I avoid buying in supermarkets, the big squat shaped ones. Available in multi packs. Didn’t appear fresh. Wasn’t impressed one bit even less with the size of the bill afterwards. £40. Won’t be rushing back. Had a wonderful full English breakfast the next day at a cafe in Osmotherley, the only cafe there, delicious. I used to love coming to Bettys but over the last few years sizes have shrunk but prices have risen far too much for any value.

Lovely burgers and gorgeous chips. Very good vegeterian options too. I have been for Sunday lunch which is lovely, especially the starter giant Yorkshire pudding with gravy. Only one issue they need some good desserts, their desserts aren't good and very limited choice.

Lovely victorian hotel with beautifully restored features creating a feel of grandeur... could nt fault our spacious well presented room with everything you need for perfect stay ...the only niggle which did nt affect the quality of the room was the view from the window.. it was abysmal view of an small enclosed scruffy four walled square containing the fire escape and rubbish in the gutters and in the pigeon net so i would not accept room 323 again....the main reason for booking was the unlimited easy free parking which is a rareity in harrogate centre...10 minute walk to centre..bit longer coming back up hill...all in all we loved our stay..apparently its a main destination for dancing lovers boasting one of the largest spring loaded dance floors so do nt forget your dancing shoes.

What a load of rubbish. I don't know of any cafe ANYWHERE that stops serving hot food at 2pm (im talking a toastie for lunch here). A lovely (busy) afternoon in Valley Gardens, spoilt by these miserable cafe 'operators'. Harrogate Council, GET RID and get some professionals in - tourism eh? Who needs it?
