The best restaurants in Harlow Moor Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

We waited 55 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being that busy and having no warning about any delay. The food itself (when it eventually arrived) was tasty but the service was really bad, with no one interested in taking our order or checking on us at any point. This was topped off by a bizarre interaction with the waiter when I ordered a bottle of Peroni, who tried to make me change my order to an Efes. I get it, it's a Turkish beer and a nice one, I just happen to prefer Peroni. It then arrived pre-poured in a half-pint glass and there was no sign of the rest of my 330ml bottle, which we were charged for in full. Luckily, I was spared the embarrassment a second time because no one ever came back to offer me another drink when I finished it. We could have just come on a bad day, other reviews are largely positive, but we didn't get more than a cursory apology or even a thank you and goodbye when we left. Overall, this was some of the worst service I've ever had eating out.

Fantastic hotel, great price and excellent food. Liked · An amazing hotel to stay at. Excellent price, super friendly and professional staff. Great location and the breakfast was excellent. The facilities were very good, a very comfy bed and although the bathroom was small, it was extremely clean and modern. Disliked · I wasn't personally affected, and although there is an internal lift, it didn't look like the building was completely step-free.

Rude.. I walked in to get a drink before heading home bar man walked up to me and told me to leave. I was like I've just came in.. I've done nothing wrong he said I don't care leave I was like, "Can I speak to the landlord he said he was the landlord if that's how you speak to customers I'd avoid this place at all costs lots of other more accommodating bars local to this place try them first avoid avoid avoid !

First time visit (after I had heard so many good things about it!) Wonderful. Great food, great drinks and gorgeous seating areas (and dog friendly too!!)

Summer seemed on its way when visiting Betty's last Saturday 15/03/'24. All three at breakfast time. We were directed to our table by a young lady called Freya who made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Our meal was delightful, our lady looking after us attended to us with kindness and helpfulness. Your restaurant was full of happy customers , and space out in a attractive manner. Many thanks to all, and congratulation Betty's to all involved.

One of my favourite places to pop into before have a leisurely walk around Harlow Carr Gardens. Staff are all lovely and friendly :)

Orchid restaurant never fails to deliver. Have been a few times with friends / family and the food / service has been fantastic. If you haven’t been here, you must go!

No dairy-free ice cream options available at the ice cream kiosk in The Valley Gardens. With allergies being so common these days, it’s surprising and disappointing that a place like this doesn’t offer alternatives.

Well done for a thoroughly decent staying in Harrogate for the Lib Dem Spring Conference 2025 at the convention centre. The staff go above and beyond. Well done.

A thoroughly enjoyable overnight bubbly break. Outstanding value. Our deal included dinner and the food (cod for me) was excellent. The dining room was quiet, due I think to the large wedding. Staff were welcoming and efficient and looked great in their waistcoats. We will be back, especially their special offer breaks

What a load of rubbish. I don't know of any cafe ANYWHERE that stops serving hot food at 2pm (im talking a toastie for lunch here). A lovely (busy) afternoon in Valley Gardens, spoilt by these miserable cafe 'operators'. Harrogate Council, GET RID and get some professionals in - tourism eh? Who needs it?
