Classic. Great food. Great Service. Great ambience. Always worth the visit. we ordered Afternoon Tea and English breakfast. Amazing quality.

Just had a coffee in the new cafe inside area which wasn't quite what I was expecting, as it was quite 'canteen-ish' for a Bettys cafe but the coffee was good and the building itself fits in really well with the gardens. There's also lots of outdoor seating as well.

Artificial smiling from staff just ordinary food with with stamp,very expensive not worth it.

Much has changed since my last visit around 10yrs ago. The Harrogate Arms has been incorporated into the garden as a cafe. Well worth a visit might even rejoin.

Expensive but great quality food. Kiosk staff not confident on giving the right change. Saw more species of birds there in 30 minutes than I see in a year back home.

The staff gave us the menu while we are queuing. We got in after waiting about 15 minutes. The lady who serve our table is fantastic! The sandwiches and the Chicken Schnitzel are tasty. Worth for visiting.

Visited the outside Cafe mid afternoon to find limited food available, sandwich or sandwich! As they are in paper bags, at late afternoon the bread has dried out. Not very edible. Also the coffee (Americano) was tasteless. Overall a very costly mistake for us.

Didn't go to the Tea House but the new one Harrogate Arms which is very good and cheaper than Betty's

Very popular particularly during school holidays. Excellent food and very helpful staff. Somewhat expensive however.

This was our first ever visit and we will definitely be back, staff were lovely and the food was nice . The only draw back is having to wait outside for a member of staff to come and get you to be seated , not the best way of doing things when the weather rubbish ( it was raining and windy).

First class service, the best cakes & tea, brilliant staff also has a gift shop nextdoor.

Perfect place for a coffee and light snack on a crisp autumn day. Open air seating so on really bad weather days you can use the larger indoor Betty's by the entrance to the gardens. Food and service has always been good.

I have my set favourite lunch at Betty's tea room, it's my favourite treat. The service is quick and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely to sit outside with a coffee and a bite having been served by the friendly staff.

We had a fat rascal, which did not disappoint. A must have if you visit. Free parking. A little busy but we didn't wait long to be served. We will definitely return.

Now expected to queue outside in the rain, so won't be going any more. People travel hours to get there to then be expected to queue in the rain to get inside is just plain inconsiderate 😒

Amazing! Very welcoming and accommodating to allergies! Got served by a wonderful waitress called Phobie who was very helpful and understanding to my allergies. The food was wonderful aswell the cinnamon toast and Florentine Rösti were to die for! And the Betty's Lemonade was wonderful 😆 Worth the price 100%

Nice cuppa with a scone, fish and chips was good too, but extremely expensive. The experience is pleasant and i do enjoy the service and being looked after, prices don’t need to be as much as what they are. Almost £20 for fish and chips, cannot justify that really can you.

Expensive , Not Any Customer Service As You Normally Do At Betty's & With a Cardboard Cup That Burn's Your Hand's & Dirty Wooden Table's !! Give It A Miss As You Only Pay For The Name & Rip Off Price's!!

Good place & situated in a nice spot .rather than having to go to the restaurants ideal for a quick snack .

Out of stock of all the gluten free stuff except for the "carrot cake googler". No clue what that is but it sounded minging.

We all know Betty's this is a little out door coffee/tea shop in the gardens.

£4.40 for a very poor takeaway latte. Good coffee is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Disappointing.

It's okay, but way short of the experience in the cafés in Harrogate or Ilkley. Prepacked food and overpriced.

Great service from very friendly staff. Be prepared to queue for the cafe it gets VERY busy.

A beautiful sunny cold day and Betty's scone and hot chocolate, perfection. It's a lovely little outdoor area in a spot which catches the sun and served snacks.

Good choice of sandwiches, warming soup, tea and coffee and lovely to be able to sit at sturdy tables amongst the trees. The robin appreciated any crumbs

First time having Betty's and didn't think is was up to the hype. Setting was rather nice though. Will try again to see if It was a one off experience

Tea house is outside seating so we were lucky with the weather but the main tea shop is available by the entrance if its gets cold. Both are exceptional if a little more than some places.

Great tea and cake to keep visitors going.

Delicious and a lovely surprise when we visited Harlow Carr for the first time to be able to treat ourselves to Bettys fabulous cakes and of course a fat rascle.

Stop here on your walk for a takeaway coffe and a fat rascal.

Great link up with the RHS, but you pay a premium for the food and drinks.

Delicious sandwiches, good range of snacks and drinks and much quieter than the main Cafe and Tea Room.

A great cafe in a gorgeous setting. There's a good selection of drinks, snacks, sandwiches and cakes. Vegans are well catered for. It's all delicious and prices are reasonable

Was disappointed as no rarebit scones and no suggestion of obtaining any in the meantime...it was before noon. Also the server asked if my sister and I were together and when I said yes she ignored us and served the people behind without asking if either of us was being served already, which we weren't. Also as lovely as some Bettys products can be over £6 for a cheese and chutney sandwich (the only veggie alternative) is eye watering! 2 slices of bread, some cheese and chutney plus about 2small green leaves does not justify the price...take a picnic.

Yorkshire curd tarts are delicious.

It's Betty's. Not the cheapest place but there's nothing else like it. Excellent food and excellent service every time

Decent quality but massively overpriced. Everything is cold, even the sausage rolls. Bring a picnic.

Long queue (30 minutes) to get in today(25/01/22) so bought some items in the shop. Queuing outside is too cold. So only 3 stars. Food we got was lovely. Shop was great and staff are friendly so 5 stars for shop.

Super addition to Harlow Carr Gardens. The hot chocolate is superb and very welcome on a very cold day.

They sell some really delicious cakes and drinks. Had the hot chocolate which was so so nice. There are some interesting cakes with a local twist. It's a bit expensive for a takeaway counter and there aren't many places to sit if raining. There is an undercover are which is small and still gets wet if raining hard.

Very busy spot in the fabulous gardens. Tip - they now open at 0930 so arrive early and head straight there. Coffee and rarebit scones are heavenly. Highly recommended.

Located in the actual gardens the tea house has many of the Bettys treats, but at lunch time be prepared to queue. Seating outside nearby but I much prefer to head into the gardens. Ice cream kiosk also available next door and toilets also located next to the tea house. Good place for a break if needed whilst visiting the gardens.
