Last Post in Harrogate

Paul and Amanda always welcoming, football or sport of some sort usually on around the weekend, beer good and not expensive for Harrogate. Food is now available! A variety of pies, scotch eggs and sausage rolls are available. Quality is excellent and with mushy peas or beans and gravy it's ideal accompanying a good pint.

Fantastic Guinness, great music, atmosphere and service

My partner and stopped in here for an after dinner drink, we had our dog with us as it's dog friendly we thought it the place! Not only is is doggy friendly but lovely in every way. The couple who run this old bar are lovely people and I would be a regular customer if I happened to live in Harrogate. Amazing pint of Guinness, best so far in the UK (coming from an Irish pallet)!

Best place for a beer in Harrogate. Great atmosphere and Guys working here are great. Watched the euros in here and got well looked after

Cracking little cosy pub. Log fire, Cask ale, craft beer, good gin selection. Sports on without the rowdy sports pub.

A great little pub / sports bar, with 2 TVs showing sports events and a reasonably stocked bar. It was fairly quiet on this visit but can get pretty busy in the evenings, especially with a popular game showing. Seating isn't the most comfortable.

This is a nice basic pub. It's fairy small but the range of beers includes hand pulled ales. Also has lagers and cider on tap. I missed taking a photo perhaps next time. Oops stopped here again halfway up the hill and didn't think to take any pics. Still the same place.

Very nice pub, bit quiet when I went in but it had only just opened on a Tuesday afternoon, first pint of the day was very well served and in great condition.

Stopped here for a couple for pints. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Smell of a real fire (think there was one going in the rear or the pub, or I'm losing my marbles. Good pint and knowledgeable about the beers. Asked the bar man about Madri, was quite insightful

I’ve been a regular on a weekly basis due to convenience since June. To be honest the seating has always been incredibly uncomfortable, the sort that looks nice but is in fact school science benches, thus why people only tend to stay for one drink, which they seem oblivious too. The drink selection is unimaginative and clearly produced as a result of a contract agreement rather then any thought process or desire to be different. This evening they lost my business permenatly. I’ve always been treated quite hostilely by one member of staff there who clearly doesn’t like the cut of my jib or something. I drink top shelf single malt whiskey. I always ask for a single small ice cube, she always ensures to give me six. It’s quite an expensive drink, I probably spend £30 per week there. This evening, I asked for a double as per usual and received 1.5. She felt the need to charge me for a full double despite me (in a friendly manor) raising issue with this. I accepted and sat and consumed. After consideration I went back and politely(to the best of my ability) raised I wasn’t happy (and it’s actually technically illegal if being pedantic). I was then to to S.U and F.O. To be clear the other member of staff there has been nothing but lovely and professional. I feel I am fair with my reviews and if anything I’m being generous with two stars. An exception to an otherwise haven of quality independent outfits on cold bath road. The bar in general has a nice finish but there is no substance or charm. Major Toms, Blues Bar and Montys are 200 yards further. Keep walking, even if it’s raining, trust me.

This is a small but fun pub. It has small bar, a couple of tv's and will be very cosy in winter. The service comes with a smile, and once you get to know the staff a few good jokes too. If I lived closer I would be in there 3 times a week.

Excellent beer! The Leeds Amber Ale was quite nice. The place was packed with everyone talking and having a good time. Not the place for a quiet night with no the missus. The Last Post definitely lives up to the name of a 'social House'. Staff are super accommodating.

Its nice beer here, but a bit loud, 3 tv's normally playing sport.
