The best restaurants in Torne Valley Doncaster Yorkshire and The Humber

Visit this lovely little gem on a weekly basis, the food is excellent and is served by a lovely lady. The poached eggs are cooked to perfection and my hubby always has the cooked breakfast. The cakes look delicious too but always too full to try them. Spotlessly clean and newspapers, books are there for you to enjoy!

Just made the most perfect start to our Christmas preparations 🤩 We picked up whole cool bag full of provisions from Slacky's next door then enjoyed Heaven on a plate Pigs in Blankets Baguette and the prettiest Hot Chocolate I've ever seen at Tweed. This is family business at its absolute finest 🥰 Merry Christmas One and All 🎅⛄️

Primera visita, una agradable visita. Llamé para el almuerzo, pedí tostadas y café. La comida era encantadora, buen tamaño de porción y no pan barato en rodajas, posiblemente pan casero o local. El servicio era bueno, amable y eficiente. Este delicatessen tiene tanta variedad de productos alimenticios y bebidas para comprar. Una buena oferta de productos de delicatessen, condimentos, pastas para untar, queso, cervezas, vinos y champañas. Precios inseguros, son ligeramente más altos o extremadamente altos que el supermercado, inseguro, pero la elección está ahí. Un lugar al que volveremos.

Excellent all day breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Great little place. Very busy at Friday lunch which is a good sign. My pancakes, bacon and maple syreup were excellent, My wife's edggs benedicy were very good.

My colleague and I visited Tickhill, and popped in here for a coffee and some lunch. Absolutely lovely service, great food and brilliant cosy atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area!

As a vegan I found only one choice That was fine,but on enquiring if the chips ,that came with my meal, and the onion rings that I ordered ,were cooked separately I was told they were cooked with other non -vegetarian foods Most pubs have facilities to cook separately for non meat eaters, so I was surprised An alternative of boiled potatoes was offered but didn't seem fitting with a curry. The other meals were fine,but there are a great percentage of vegetarians so surely a broader view should be taken in catering for them. I also felt unimpressed with the staffs attitude on my query and felt I was treated with some disdain With regard to the soup,it had ham in it No I didn't want rice,but neither did I want boiled potatoes with curry The mayonnaise was at least vegetarian and added flavour to the side salad.

Thought we would give this place a go as recently moved to nearby Conisbrough. Started off very well being shown to our table on arrival and our drinks order taken at same time. When drinks arrived we were asked whether we had decided our mains, which we had, so order placed with the lady serving. The mains arrived very quickly and the food was absolutely lovely, could not fault it. Our table was cleared quickly after our mains and then it went downhill. This is the second time in a short space of time at two different eateries where we have waited and waited to be offered a dessert menu. The lady that cleared our mains should perhaps have offered a dessert menu, but did not, straightaway this puts us on warning that we will not get a dessert for a second time. After some time it did appear we had been forgotten so decided to just pay for what we had and left. Why is it that so many establishments fall down on desserts, I could easily name three places where we have left before getting a dessert menu. Big shame! We have since dined here again and everything was spot on. The food was as good as ever, and we had a dessert.🤣 Service really quick and warrants 5 stars on this visit. Thank you.

I have travelled throughout the UK and eaten Full English Breakfasts in many hotels,pubs and restaurants. The one I had at Classic Cafe yesterday was the tastiest, hottest I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. The service, was as always, great. On my list for a revisit. Close to Doncaster, Bawtry and the A1M. Give it a try, you won't regret it. A great pub, full of characters and the added bonus of being able to see a TV screen showing sport wherever you’re sat in the place. The Thursday night quiz is a staple of local life and the bubbly Georgia serving behind the bar and chatting to regulars and strangers alike gives it extra kudos, she even agrees with me that my feet are the best she’s seen!! 😂

I can’t recommend this place enough and I simply can’t thank Josh and team enough for their help. Back in summer I booked for a December group birthday in, Josh was amazing explaining all the options we had, always on hand at the end of the phone during planning. On the day, absolutely everyone complimented the venue, the service and the amazing carvery! Overall the biggest compliment was about the food! Highly recommended - you won’t go wrong here, you’re in great hands.

Every time I come to this restaurant, it does not disappoint. It has a nice atmosphere and the food and service are excellent. I’m not one to write reviews, but this restaurant is worth it!
