Feast at Bawtry in Doncaster

Nice place, nice food friendly staff

Not cheap but..Oh My! Loaded cheese n caramelised onion wedges were gorgeous 9/10. Cheese-steak sourdough sandwiches were a 7/10 Coffee sadly a 6/10 as lukewarm not hot..

I had a gluten free breakfast and it was so good I'm thinking about going again tomorrow morning.

My girlfriend recommended we go to feast for breakfast on a Saturday morning as last year she had a great experience. We turned up and the service was prompt and welcoming. We had to sit outside due to the business of inside, which wasn’t a problem at all. Our order was taken and our drinks delivered to our table nice and fast. Both the iced vanilla latte and iced mocha were very nice, it was a great start. However, what followed was what I could only describe as average at best. We were very excited to order steak and eggs along with the avo and eggs on toast. Unfortunately, excitement turned into disappointment when our breakfast was served… Thin frying steaks that were well overdone and dripping with oil, I’d say no seasoning also but that was a reoccurring theme, there wasn’t any seasoning throughout the whole meal. Not a single drop of salt or pepper on the mushrooms, spinach or tomato. The ‘grilled’ tomatoes were soft and soggy. The fried potatoes in my opinion tasted like they had been reheated/ recooked, lacked amy crisp, fresh taste and were arguably the most terrible part of the dish (maybe on par with the steaks). The avocado tasted like a shop bought guacamole and was only spread on one slice of toast despite being the main attraction in ‘avocado on toast’. There was no sweet chilli jam, but apparently that was mixed into the avocado, which might have been why it didn’t taste too great in general. The poached eggs were okay. The halloumi (which we added to our avo on toast) & the toast were the best part. In all fairness, the toast was perfect, so at least we knew the toaster was working that day. I am not usually one to complain, but to pay £30 + for a breakfast and drinks for a treat and for it to be this disappointing does put a dampener on the start of your weekend. I understand it was a busy morning of service, but the simplest of dishes were executed all wrong and when asked about our meal, anything that I pointed out that was disappointing had an answer for, no attempt to resolve any issues, despite the fact I think they knew they had put together a terrible dish. Unfortunately, due to my poor experience I wouldn’t eat here again as I feel I could make better at home. I would maybe pop in for a drink because I did enjoy the atmosphere and the service was very welcoming at first.

Friendly staff and the food (I had avocado with chilli jam and poached eggs on sourdough absolutely amazing would highly recommend 😋

Always love brunching here. Definitely will return. Range of options on menu is amazing especially the gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Love the variation in breakfast foods that can't be found elsewhere!

First time visiting Feast this morning as we are staying in the area. Great friendly service, coffee was fab and food really lovely. We had a feast breakfast and eggs benedict...amazing. Next time we are here on a break we will be payimg another visit for sure. Jane and Darren

Always a great experience at Feast. Busy Bank Holiday Sunday, so had a small wait for a table, staff attentive throughout our visit, even though it was busy and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend it if looking for somewhere to eat. Plenty of choice on the menu.

Went for some breakfast late morning. We were served very quickly and the staff were pleasant. Food came quickly, but the Feast Breakfast I had was rubbish. The bacon was so hard the fork was bending trying to stab it. The potato ‘hash’ or whatever it’s supposed to be was poorly cooked and was literally just diced potato, no seasoning?? Only one fried egg which was mostly hard. The toast was more of a warm bread. Would prefer tinned tomatoes to grilled, but that’s preference. On the bright side, the sausage, black pudding and coffee were good. For the money, I’d expect much better, especially in Bawtry of places.

Good quality breakfast, I will come back, the kids loved the pancakes. Update bacon is always over cooked? So you use a Airfryer? Shane as I love the breakfast overall but will. Wed to stop having bacon

Great location, parking outside , amazing food , good relaxed atmosphere, staff all very welcoming and attentive , good prices definitely make it a regular visit .also plenty of gluten free dishes .

Went for a belated Father's Day lunch with my daughter and granddaughter. I never knew it was there. Fantastic place .Coffee was excellent, and the food was amazing. Highly recommended

Absolute joke... waited 35 mins and it wasn't even being made, the idiots were all just chatting away not giving 2 fxxks about the only 2 customers that were there, bunch of wasters

Shakshuka - yes please!!! 🥨🥪🌯🌮 Lovely visit here on a busy Saturday lunchtime. We managed to get parked 🅿️ up on the street adjacent the cafe. On entering there wasn't a table free, good sign, and as there were four of us we had to wait for approximately 10-15 minutes. When we were taken to our table 🍽️ we were given a few minutes to decide what we wanted to drink ☕🍵🧋🫖, we placed the order and the drinks came promptly. The mango smoothie was very yummy 😋 and my Oat Flat White coffee ☕ was made perfectly 🤩 yum. For lunch we had the following, Shakshuka (two poached eggs) - just the right amount of spicy-ness ♨️😋 for me. The kids had pancakes 🥞 banana 🍌 and Nutella 🍫 - as we left we grabbed a piece of blackcurrant cake 🍰, which we later shared with a cuppa - the cake was yummy and moist 🤩 Dogs 🐕 are welcome also, that was nice to see. Access ♿ isn't to bad, but may be a struggle to get to the toilet. Staff are really friendly though and will certainly attempt to accommodate ❤️ Really friendly staff, and the cafe was clean and tidy. Tables were cleared quickly. Thanks for hosting us ❤️💫👏💪🤩

What a lovely little eatery. First visit to Feast, had the light breakfast with a black coffee, lively quality good perfectly cooked. The waitress was absolutely charming, attentive and very smiley 😊. I would highly recommend this establishment they have a very varied menu and a lovely atmosphere.

Really disappointed this visit. I usually alternate between Bawtry and Hatfield and I struggle to enjoy Bawtry but I usually put that down to me not being a Bawtry kinda person. This time I found the service poor and the portions being embarrassingly small. Even the coffee wasn’t a full cup. The cutlery was pushed onto us by the staff member as if they couldn’t be bothered to place it correctly on the table. Whilst the prices aren’t ridiculous they’re not cheap and with this you expect a certain level customer service and an expectation of a full cup and adult size portions. We came away feeling short changed and disappointed in both departments.

Lovely menu including a wide variety of tempting vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items. Good coffee and appetising cakes. Staff were friendly and efficient. The place is comfortable and has outside seating. When busy, the restaurant is quite noisy, and could do with some sound-absorbing panels. Be warned, though, there is no wheelchair accessible toilet.

Lots of veggie and vegan options. The food came out quickly and was very nice. However it is very busy and the tables are quite awkwardly close. It was very loud in there and we struggled to have a conversation as we couldn’t hear each other.

Great place for breakfast just a short distance from the A1. Forget those motorway service stations, get a proper brekkie with lots of choice (gluten free and vegan menus available) in a pleasant, clean environment.

Excellent spot for breakfast. A good selection and a few unusual options that sound tasty. The bacon sandwich I got was nice, bacon cooked nicely and chilli jam a good addition. The eggs Benedict were a mixed bag with some perfectly cooked eggs and some a bit under done.

Went with friends for Quiz Night. Great night, atmosphere and food was excellent. Am a regular visitor to Feast and can confirm its the best eating establishment in Bawtry. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

One of the best if to compare to other places in Bawtry. You are really getting a big portion of a very tasty food. Really tasty, amazing iced latte, choice of meals is huge, big nice windows. People are queuing to get into the Feast.

I came in today at around 2.30 with the hope to enquire about private catering for a family event I'm planning. As you close at 3 I didn't think this would be an issue as we wouldn't be there very long. I had taken maybe 1 step in the door to be met with a hostile "we've stopped serving now" and moved directly infront of us to stop us coming any further. which is fine as we wasn't actually wanting any food. We have come in here on occasion around this time and still been served so I'm unsure as to whether this is just a recent change. If we had of been greeted in a slightly more professional way then we would have maybe had chance to speak to someone. If we had come in for food could I suggest you amend your opening times to save people having a wasted journey. We will find catering services elsewhere

First visit....I met friends here, none of us are local (Lincoln & Manchester). Nice busy atmosphere, waitress was great, menu excellent...also plenty of choices if you're vegan or gluten free. We all enjoyed our coffees and food. Will definitely visit again.

Delicious breakfast of Eggs Royale X2, an Americano with milk and 2 teas came to £21 . Excellent value for money I'd say. It was extremely busy to the point that they were turning people away so I would advise getting there earlier rather than later as they no longer take bookings.

Amazing little cafe/restaurant, the choice of food is excellent vegetarian or meat eater. Staff are friendly and helpful, will return many times to try all the interesting dishes. Definitely five stars from me.

Great service and good selection on the menu. The food was good but I feel like it was just short of great.

Lovely breakfast, great friendly staff. Very helpful with granddaughter requests for high chair and take home packaging for her left overs.

We did arrive with 45 minutes before closing time. However they did accommodate our order. The food was all homemade and tasted delicious. The only fault was that the drinks arrived sometime before our food was delivered which meant we had drunk them before our food arrived. Otherwise a good and nice place to eat

Exceptional café offering a wide range of basic and upmarket meals, freshly cooked with home made cakes to finish. Friendly staff, airy and light seating space with outdoor seating as well. Toilets clean and smelled fresh

A little on the pricey side but very nice and very friendly, will be sure to call in again next time we are passing.

First visit, chosen from an Internet search of Bawtry as a central place to meet friends. Very clean inside, with amazingly helpful and obliging young staff. The menu was varied enough for us all to be able to choose something to suit our palates, although when it arrived it wasn't piping hot. The chairs were quite uncomfortable after a while though my wife tried out one of the padded banquettes around the back wall and said they were much more comfortable. Access to the toilet was restricted by people sat with their chairs back blocking the aisle. Overall we would definitely recommend it and we would go again.

Had Brunch with family (10). The place was buzzing with activity. People enjoying their meals and staff visible and attentive. The staff sorted out our seating arrangements. No issues. Placed our orders. 10 people ordered at the same time. We chatted and people watched. The food arrived one meal after another. The food quality was good. The meals eaten and enjoyed by all. The bill was divided up and no issues at all with paying like this. Our go to place in Bawtry. Lovely!!!

Absolutely beautiful food. I called in and initially thought it was a bit pricey for a sandwich, but then received it, and wondered how I got away with only paying what I did. Filled me up all day and was beautiful. Will definitely call again. Thankyou guys, stunning food 👍

This was my 1st visit good choice of menu table service available also takeout. My only complaint was the access to the toilets there are to many tables any one with any disability would struggle to get to the toilet and tables would have to be removed.

Feast offers a great menu, a particularl recommendation goes to the breakfasts! A Bawtry must do.
