A group of ten of us booked a table to celebrate my birthday. On the day we received a call to say that the boiler had broken and therefore the restaurant couldn't open. However, they pulled out all the stops to make sure our evening was not ruined. They re-seated us in a private dining room in the Hilton hotel next door and the chef, waiting staff, menus etc all came across too. Essentially it was exactly the same just sat in a different dining room. The menu had some lovely choices on there and every single meal was both delicious and well presented. The staff could not have been more attentive and attention was paid to every detail. Huge thanks to all the staff for making sure my birthday celebration could continue to go ahead, and for making it a great evening. I would highly recommend.

On entering this classic local pub we felt welcomed and relaxed. There is a dog friendly area inside therefore we were able to have a nice drink and the most perfectly cooked Sunday dinner with our labradoodle regardless of the weather. A separate area is available for those without there best friend alongside. The chef obviously takes pride in creating an excellent traditional meal, he proudly plates your choice of 2 out of 3 meats available. Generous slices of moist meat are then complemented by your choice from several freshly cooked vegetables, nothing but perfectly cooked delightful and colourful vegetables. The gravy is also to die for and a cheese sauce tops this very delightful meal. I would happily pay twice the price. Get down to the Waterside Inn in West Sockwith, ITS AMAZING.

we decided to try this restaurant 17 Oct 2024. The drinks order was wrong, the bruschetta starter, least said about that the better. but the award is split, my Pizza was stone cold and undercooked. i complained to the waitress, she reported this, within a couple of minute, i was confronted by ( the owner or Chef) i was informed that firstly it wasn't undercooked, he then preceded to pick up my pizza to show me that the bottom was cooked, he then stormed off to the kitchen. A couple of mins later the same Pizza re appeared "piping hot" unfortunately this was now inedible. it was now basically cardboard. Complained again and was told in no certain terms than no one else had complained and it was down to my personal taste. later he decided that we wouldn't be charged for the pizza. When the bill was paid, an apology was given, and a fresh pizza should have been given ( we were going to see a show that started at 7.30pm, the original pizza was delivered to us just after 7pm. A further review will be posted to trip advisor with photos. It is safe to say that we will never be visiting this establishment again

Had the most amazing bottomless brunch at the Jazz Cafe! First time I’ve ever had bottomless brunch and been to the jazz cafe and it did not disappoint - the food was amazing, Prosecco flowing and cocktails were amazing! There were quite a few large hen parties in and although we were only a small group of 6 the service was still amazing! We really enjoyed the afternoon and can’t wait to do it again 😍

Waitress dropped the flake off my drink no big deal ordered latte partner said tasted slightly salty ..I ordered hot chocolate the cream on the top was lovely but the hot chocolate was weak and watery I told the waitress she just said oh sorry cakes nice but nothing to shout about and for the price it should of been .. dissapointing really won't return 😕 was expecting it all to be delicious

First time weve tried this place ordered 3 x classic American burgers came with fries. very nice young man delivered leaving order 2/3 mtrs away and waited till i picked the order upFood was hot,fresh and very tasty will deffinatly order again from hereSon wanted a burger but some of the rubbish hes ordered before has been un eatable but found this very tasty Thankyou

We thought we’d order from somewhere new, we used uber eats and it was past the delivery time. So I called the restaurant, the member of staff I spoke to couldn’t have been more helpful and straight away checked with the kitchen if my order had left. They confirmed it had and would be with me soon. Within 5 minuets of the call my order was indeed delivered. All in all my order was due between 8:25-8:45 and it came round 9pm. But all was forgiven when the food came because oh my goodness, it was unreal we had the Caesar salad, fajita, burrito, chips & nachos. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough. I’m so glad we tried it as I will be ordering again!

Spoilt my 30th birthday party! Do not hold your event here!! Below is the issues I had and the Email I sent…they did respond to the email and gave me a £120 refund (bare in mind the party was nearly £1,000) but that’s beside the point people need an insight to what that they are really like and not to pay good money to hold their events there just to have them ruined. Staff need retraining and be shown how organise, plan and deal correctly with clients. All the staff just pass the blame for their failures from one to another. This is the email I sent and all the issues I had so make up your own mind but I would definitely AVOID. Hi (events manager name) When I arrived at castle park on Friday afternoon on 23/08/24 I needed things moving around in the room I was there over 2 hours and nobody was on hand and in the end my family and the lady from the other events company offered to help because there wasn’t time to wait for yourself or someone else to it when I’d already been there over 2 hours. The table that had been left out for my cake only had 3 and a half legs which if my cake had gone on to it would have fallen off so again my family had to source another table then I needed a table cloth for it and we asked a member of staff where they were and they had no idea. The children’s buffet was missing items, the sandwich’s, the unlimited juice also the children’s buffet should have been on a separate table and it wasn’t. There was tuna sandwich’s when I asked for there not to be. There wasn’t any spoons for people to put dips on to their plates None of the sandwiches were labelled so people couldn’t tell what they were until they took a bite. Some of the food was over cooked, burnt and definitely not homemade as stated. Upon my mum raising the issues of the night to the catering manager she was met with an awful attitude, him raising my voice to my mum (to which my brother had to step in and asked him not to shout at her) and was given no apology. I am highly disappointed because all of this put a negative mood on my party night and spoilt it which shouldn’t happen I also didn’t get things I had paid for with also isn’t right. Absolutely awful organisation and customer service this isn’t what I expected from yourselves after attending other events with you. I know there was other events going on, on the same day and it was busy but a business such as yourselves should be able to deal with more than 1 event at a time and there is no excuse for these failings. Right from January I dealt with you, days when you weren’t there I was asked to call back when you were in which I did and you took all the details so for my mum to be told you were the new events manager because the other got sacked for promising things you couldn’t for fill is not right either when I’d only ever dealt with you. I would appreciate a swift response to this email.
