Great place for a stop as you drive up/down the A65. There’s a cheese museum and samples available. For a picnic we enjoyed local air dried Yorkshire ham and local Yorkshire cheese on crackers in the picnic area. You can also stock up on some local beer to enjoy at home. If for no other reason, it’s worth popping in to use the cheese vending machine.

Wandered into the centre of Settle from a ride on the Settle / Carlisle line. Looking for a sandwich for lunch. Spotted this deli and went inside. WHAT A DISCOVERY. Hot chicken and halloumi sandwich cooked for me right before my eyes. Loads of different choices all cooked to order. Saw 7 people having sandwiches prepared - 5 of the locals. Speaks volumes. VERY good value for money. Do try it - you won’t be disappointed.

The best afternoon tea ever! The end! A stunning location with the most beautiful food and lots of tea refills! Cannot get any better!

Came across this place by accident while out walking in the area..What a find as quality & variation is huge!!! Beacon egg cobs to hot sausage rolls & pie's. Sweets tea coffee among many other drinks. Best of all fantastic prices so much cheaper than anywhere in the area!!! everything piping hot!! If only Chatsworth Christmas Market could follow suit as every cob & sandwich is 🧈 buttered as it should be unlike other places mentioned 😉 Would definitely return to this place that sets standards for 99% of cafes & so called upmarket food stalls!!!

We visited on the bank holiday weekend and had 2 breakfasts one with tea one with coffee. It was freshly cooked and excellent quality. The service couldn't be faulted. Value was superb. What a gem of a place. We will be back!

It's a shame, but our well loved local Chinese Takeaway has closed for business. Johnny and his wife have retired. We now await to see if it will reopen in another guise.

A group of four of us ate at the Craven Kitchen and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was all of a great quality. The onion bhaji starter was great with very light tasty bhajis. The mains were equally good with the Chicken Makani a particular highlight. The rice portions were generous albeit for pilau rice it was a bit unusual but still nice. The food was all served nice and hot (temperature). The restaurant and toilets were clean and well maintained. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Skipton.

Any time this place is open, do take the chance to pop in for a drink, snack or meal....a very friendly place with a good choice (including vegetarian) on the menu; the family team are happy to speedily prepare and serve just what you order in a quirky, well presented small cafe. Excellent value, quality food!
