First stop on the way out of Hubberholme when walking. 3 of us had the cream tea; wonderful home made scones with home made jam & lashings of cream- scrumptious Scar House Tea Garden highly recommended.

Had a wonderful, although at times, damp walking week in the Yorkshire Dales. One of my walks took in Buckden Pike, Cray and over the hills to Yokenthwaite. Came across an unexpected tea garden at a farmhouse above the tiny village of Hubberholme. Even though I had packed my sandwiches as usual it was such a beautiful place to sit and view the scenery that I was tempted by the cream tea it being reasonably cheap. Couldn't have asked for more, delicious homemade scones, cream, jam and a cup of tea. Friendly helpful hosts and amazing scenery.

We ate here for Sunday lunch. The Sunday dinner was fantastic, lovely meat and a great selection of vegetables. We’d definitely come back if we’re in the area again.

1 Garrs LaneGreat cafe in Grassington, with fantastic gluten free knowledge and choices with the most amazing gluten free bread. I had seen reviews for being gluten free on their menu, and whilst in Grassington recently watching filming of All Creatures Great and Small, we had a lovely brunch, sat in the sunshine. The staff were so friendly and helpful and confident with gluten free choices and the food came out with an allergy flag - always a great sign. My husband had a normal sausage sandwich, and I had a gluten free bacon sandwich - both tasted great and we really enjoyed our brunch, along with a pot of tea. A great find and no hesitation in recommending, and when next in Grassington will return here totally.
