My friend and I had been bought afternoon tea at Georgies yard. It was a wonderful afternoon and would highly recommend. All food freshly baked or locally sourced, so supporting other local businesses. Everything delicious and constant supply of fresh hot tea kept coming. Hosts ensuring the whole time everything was to our liking.

Had this stitch cake made for my daughters 18th birthday, and wow amazing the size of the cake also tastes amazing and great for the price, I would absolutely recommend anyone to trust your special days cake in the hands of this amazing company, the lovely man who made this beautiful cake was genuinely passionate about the work he does putting so much effort into every detail :)

Lovely food!! Meaty well cooked haddock and tasty chips. I wasn’t the only customer to find the menu board a bit confusing as it stated to let servers know if you are gluten free. When I mentioned this I was told everything is gluten free except the bread cakes. (Recently diagnosed coeliacs take note the HP sauce is not gluten free). A little concerned that the temperature probe used for fish was not sanitised between use. Potentially a food safety issue not a cross contamination issue. Everything considered I would definitely go back.

This place is an absolute hidden gem of Barnsley! Super friendly staff and quick service. The food is phenomenal here, fantastic size portions and fair price too. with a wide variety of fresh Ingredients for example the sausage is a traditional polish delight, that's home made too! Can't say enough about this place, it's locally owned too so helping support the community with delish nutritional food!

A little gem that has been going for years - lovely food and friendly interaction with the Chef/Front of House. They have the usual Italian Menu but also a 'Specials Board'. Nice surroundings, we sat downstairs as one of our party is partially sighted and the stairs are quite steep. Reasonable prices, draught Peroni, nice background music too, no service charged so discretionary. Only slight downside was that the main course arrived too soon after starters but they were happy to provide us with a 'doggy bag. There is a reasonable sized car park to the rear but it is dark. All in all though this is a great little place and we will be visiting again soon.

Visiting Barnsley with my son for the first time to watch our team (Exeter City) play mid week. This pub was in the Good Beer Guide so thought we’d check it out. Real pub. Guy behind the bar couldn’t have been friendlier - talking us through the various ales on offer (and even recommending the Heaven & Ale pub across town). When we introduced ourselves as coming from Exeter the barman and the local customers engaged us in pleasant talk re ale, football, Devon …. We returned for a celebratory pint after Exeters 2-1 win and were warmly welcomed back. Cracking pub, great ales!

My second trip here and I absolutely love everything about the place. The decor, the food, the owner. The first visit was for a Christmas wreath making lesson which was great fun. The second visit was for a friend's birthday and we were both incredibly impressed with the food and service. A little gem in Barnsley 🩷🩷🩷. Thank you.

--- During my recent stay at the Barnsley Central Premier Inn, I once again checked in on a Friday evening, and I was delighted to see Julie behind the front desk. Her welcoming demeanor and professionalism made the check-in process incredibly smooth and efficient. Julie goes above and beyond to ensure that guests feel comfortable and valued. She greeted me with a warm smile and took the time to remember my preferences from my previous visits, which made me feel like a returning friend rather than just another customer. Her attention to detail was exceptional; she provided helpful information about the hotel amenities and local attractions, ensuring I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. In addition, Julie was quick to address any questions I had and offered assistance with my luggage, showcasing her dedication to customer service. It's clear that she genuinely enjoys her role and takes pride in providing an outstanding experience for guests. Overall, Julie is a true asset to the Barnsley Central Premier Inn, and her commitment to excellence significantly enhances the overall atmosphere of
