I've never visited Dodworth Rd fisheries. I did however visit a petrol station nearby. I'm sure their fish and chips are surely excellent.

Get ready folks just tried to order 2 x chicken burgers to find out they have increased prices by nearly £5.20 what use to cost £8.70 now costs wait for it !!!!!!! £13.90 really??..

Had delivered chips was not cooked properly all stuck to paper not order again.

First time ordering for a delivery, after usually using Just Eat , food was hot and fresh on delivery . Will definitely be phoning directly again. We orderedDoner Kebab and chips **** Lovely people on phone when ordering and delivery lady was lovely 😍

we called close to closing time just for some chips. They fried them fresh so we had to wait a little while, but when we got home they were still hot, fresh and tasty.

Went here the other day the chips area solid 10/10 probably the best ive had in a while and they have such good service! It took them only around 2-3mins to gove me my order and usually i wait like 6mins at other places. This place deserves the 10/10 in all honesty.

I always get mine delivered. In the many times that I have ordered, I've only had one disappointment which was when I received a pie that had been microwaved to death, couldn't get a knife through the top crust, other than that the food has always arrived tasty, hot and fast. Love the breaded fish cake and the jumbo sausage.

Was the first food we had when we moved to Barnsley last summer, luckily round the corner from this place. Some of the best fish & chips you can get! And always a friendly encounter with the staff, the fish bits are excellent value!!

Fish and chips don't get better than from this place. Closest place you would find anything near to the quality is Hubys in Thurscoe.

Had a doner from here, it was perfect. Lovely meat, nicely toasted pitta and LOADS of salad, especially shredded cabbage. Just the right amount of garlic sauce and chilli sauce too. Cheers 👍🏻🙂

Decent fish and chips, covid restrictions in place , only 2 allowed in shop at once although this doesn't seem to be enforced as when I was in a 3rd person entered and nothingbwas said to them.

£7.50 for the world's smalling fish and chips. Can't even call what u got a fish and about a handful of chips. If it was a £4 meal deal it would be spot on but not for £7.50.

we often have fish bites chips and curry from here its lovely ... today had my first pizza in over 10 yrs due to allergies and they made me a great pizza .... fantastic 👍

Not sure what the staff think is acceptable food, but when you open up to eat your tea and nearly all your chips are black and green there's something wrong. I would avoid this place altogether or untill they realise they can't serve the current food they have. This has ended up in the bin and me cooking tea.

Most consistent fish and chips in the area, at reasonable prices. Trouble is, it's ALWAYS slow to order. Ordered for four, and waited 15mins + (not including queuing). Owner, random woman and the 'chef' just stood about watching the girl do everything. This is a regular occurrence. Why does nobody ask how many chips you want (since running out of chips seems to be frequent) or how many fish you're after when you walk in? You can't serve folk one by one of you're waiting on something... The tall young lad that now works on Pizzas used to do a quality job behind the fish bar, but he was usually accompanied by the older bloke with tattoos that's been there years. Both of them do a stellar job. Real let down that it's slow because they've invested a lot recently. Starting to consider going elsewhere - I'm sure others are thinking the same. Really tempted to give it a one star, but realistically two is fair.

Fish and chips are lovely, some of the best in the area! Opened their pizza bar recently too, pizzas are all freshly prepared from scratch in front of you, hand rolled dough, fired in a proper pizza oven! Absolutely to die for!!!

I've been ordering from here occasionally since they refurbished the place a few years ago. This is the most consistently good fast food place of any kind that I know of. I never bought any food from here that I could really complain about. Other similar establishment are great on one day and awful on another. True hit and miss. However Dodworth Road Fish Bar stand for 'always good'. All staff members are nice. That said I can't say it's mouth watering, it's missing something to make it excellent, but it's good, consistently good.

Nice tasting fish & chips, good portions for the price. Staff friendly & courteous plus at closing time they sometimes wrap up their excess food up & put it in the range to keep warm while they clean up. Called in as they were closing & got fish & chips for £3!
