The best restaurants in West Midlands

If you have never eaten at the Dog and Partridge then you really have missed out on lovely food and fantastic service. Six of us met up on Saturday night for a birthday celebration. The bar was full of locals watching the football and the rugby, but as our table was in a cosy room at the far end of the building we didn't hear a thing apart from when Wolves scored! It's a good idea to have a look at the menu online before you go as there are so many choices, and options within those choices. If you can't find anything on this menu that takes your fancy then you are impossible to please. We enjoyed and can recommend the minty lamb pie, braised brisket, hunters chicken and giant filled Yorkshire pud. Generous portions and all delicious. Desserts of ice creams, lemon cheesecake, syrup sponge and chocolate orange cake were also really tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. Our server for the evening was Laura and she deserves an extra-special mention. This is a lady who radiates first-rate customer service. Efficient, smiley, witty and caring; she is a gem. Our thanks also to Becky, one of the lovely staff, who baked a superb birthday cake for us and visited our table to ensure all was well. If you are looking for great food at a reasonable price, plenty of choice at the bar and top notch customer service, then look no further than this wonderful venue.

Decent selection of cask and keg small brewery ales. Conveniently in centre of Ironbridge, close to the bridge. It is quite small, but it is a micropub

We have used Gandhi’s for several years now, both to eat in and home deliveries. The food continues to be the best that we have tasted in Staffordshire and never disappoints! The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced, and food always arrives piping hot if we have it delivered. What also completes the experience is the attentiveness of the staff. They are always extremely welcoming and go the extra mile to make you feel at home, yesterday making us a makeshift table outside to enjoy a drink while we waited for the rest of our party, and giving my partner a drink on the house to celebrate his birthday. We will continue to return to Gandhi’s time and time again. Thank you!

Really enjoyed the Black Lion Inn. I had a room for one night and the welcome was great, the room was comfy, clean and had everything I needed, perfect. Also had dinner in the pub and breakfast, food and the service was really good. Definitely recommend. 😊

Lovely little coffee shop with very friendly staff. I often pop in for a cream tea, if I’m in town, and I’m never disappointed. Lisa’s scones are some of the best on the planet! One of Evesham’s hidden gems.

First time eating here and what a lovely place! Didn’t realise there was a downstairs, fabulous atmosphere! Sunday dinner was beautiful, highly recommend!

Fantastic food best Curries in Worcestershire. If you want a take away with a friendly welcoming service this is the place. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

The Australian wine tasting was an excellent way to spend 3 hours. Great wine, helpful details from those serving the wines and Matthew was a great host. Also the singer was very good.

Very nice place for dog walkers, walkers, and cyclists. Nice selection of small shops in the courtyard, plenty seating available, gardens round the back and also carpark.

Regularly ordered from here as the food was great. Ordered from their website on 11/02/2025, money was taken but the restaurant never confirmed the order/delivered, phone number provided also appears to have been disconnected, site is still taking orders and there is no communication on the site/social media about the place shutting down. I'd like my £30 of nothing back please 👍
