Went here to find a special bottle of Port. Sales guy was very knowledgeable and was able to locate a bottle with a specific age/date needed for a gift. Very pleased. Impressive range and reasonable prices.

Fantastic selection of drinks, knowledgeable and friendly staff and excellent prices. Brilliant! Will definitely be back for a more extensive wine tasting experience. I enjoyed a lovely glass of Kilchoman whisky whilst chatting rum, whisky and wine with one of the great staff members. Comes highly recommended.

Ken Forrester wine dinner at Chapter was AMAZING excellent food and wine pairing, the FMC Chenin Blanc and the Gypsy were stunning.

Absolutely our favourite wine bar. Great atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Love the Loki card system that offers an incredible selection of wines to sample. Table reservations available and we'd recommend the deli boards from Anderson and Hill to accompany the wine; a winning combination. We've also learnt so much about wine with online and in-store wine tasting. They're great fun and refreshingly unpretentious. With the bonus of "The Big Cheese", Will from Anderson and Hill on the Zoom links, we can enjoy the tastings from the comfort of the sofa.

Ticks all the right boxes for me. Took some friends out for part of a birthday treat. Nice snacks, fantastic wines, lovely atmosphere and staff with great knowledge of wine to help you try something new.

I didn't see any food on sale. The wine tasting itself was very good, wines for everyone. The only thing I'd say was that nobody checked tickets so people could just walk in without paying? You may want to look at this for next time?

Cool wine bar and shop, very relaxed . We loved the self service machines so we could try lots of different wines.

I recently did my WSET level 2 wine course at Loki and absolutely loved the experience. Radu is a brilliant course leader - I'm sure I wouldn't have come away with a distinction without his excellent teaching skills and infectious passion for wine. We sampled lots of outstanding wines which was of course the best bit (it was very hard to use the spittoon!) Huge thanks to Radu, Zak and Team Loki for an amazing experience!

We really enjoyed the prosecco tasting held at the city centre store. Loads of fun, great host and learnt some really interesting facts, will come again!!

What a great find, wine vending machines! We spent a couple of hours trying a variety of wines, you can choose from 3 different sizes and just top up your card to use the vending machines. The staff were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I'd definitely head here again when I'm back in Birmingham. If you like wine and a nice place to chill out, give it a try.

I attended Loki’s first wine and cheese tasting event of the year and it was wonderful! So much knowledge and a great way to learn more about different wines if you’re a novice like myself (but I daresay even an experienced connoisseur would get something out of it). The wines and the cheeses were paired so beautifully, and the lady who ran the tasting (so sorry I forgot your name!) really knows her stuff and was so friendly and welcoming. Such a fab experience - we’ll be back!

Have been meaning to visit Loki for years and will definitely be back. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff, amazing selection of wines and the cheese boards, focaccia bread and nibbles are the perfect accompaniments!

Pricey but a superb selection of wines with knowledgeable staff.

I was disappointed to find that they only had one bottle of Pathfinder left in stock on the website. It’s so hard to find the elixir in the UK and I had hoped to buy several bottles. I was pleased that Loki got in touch with me to remedy this.

A fantastic range of drinks! With knowledgeable staff, willing to help, advise, and guide you in your requirements. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or be intimidated to go in. Enjoy. 😀!

Visited on 19/08/23, and the staff, especially the blonde lady with two plaits was a super star, super helpful and accommodating. Would defo recommend and although I am not actually a big wine drinker I would definitely return here. Also the olives are so tasty

We went here as the reviews looked great and the experience looked fun. We was not disappointed. We opted to sit outside as it was raining and the sound was lovely in the arcade and people watching. The experience of loading a special card and having a tester, small or medium glass of wine was great. Especially as we all drink different wines. Really was great. We had bread and humus, olives and charcuterie board. The olives wasn't too great but I highly highly recommend the meat platter especially with some of their red wines!! Was a beautiful ladies afternoon and well worth travelling from London to come to this place!

Did Cheese and Wine tasting on Saturday lunch time. Melissa was very knowledgeable and gave information without hardsell. Really enjoyed the session and would definitely go back for others. Wines were on sale afterwards but no expectation or direction to buy. Would recommend.

Good gin tasting but would have been better if it wasn't just flavoured gins

We had a great time at a Cheese and Wine Tasting event at Loki Wine in Central Birmingham. The hosts were very knowledgeable and the pairings were delicious and definitely got you thinking about what you are actually tasting. Sitting with other people and comparing notes is also a lot of fun. Perfect afternoon!

Came in to the store, knowing exactly which bottle I wanted, waited at the till for 10+ minutes, checked upstairs, no staff in sight. One lady on her phone downstairs who may or may not have been staff but either way I wasn't acknowledged. I'd recommend getting one of those hotel desk bells to ask for service.

My wife and I love it here. Always top service. Our visit today shows what customer service is all about. We asked for a pint noir and chose a bottle. Unfortunately it was not to our liking, and believe me I love a pint noir. On asking our wine was changed to a different one which was lovely. I quote. "We would rather give you a wine your happy with because you are the customer." This is why why love this place.

Excellent tasting at Loki spotlighting some mature Australian wines that were drinking beautifully. Loved the format and the hosting and enthusiasm from all was spot on. Lovely group of people to taste with too.

Had a really great time at a gin cocktail masterclass. The class was fun, informative and the time definitely flew by. Loki wines is a lovely little place, well stocked with an array of wines, spirits and liquers, with friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go to another event there.

My absolutely favourite place in Birmingham. I’ve been a customer for years now and I never get disappointed by the quality and range of the wine, cosy atmosphere, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable staff, and selection of tastings and educational courses. It’s great having an option to get the wines from the machines by glass as well as buy a bottle (or two!) and both option provide an amazing value to money experience.

My friend treated us to the gin tasting. If you visit Birmingham, this is an absolute must do!! We recieved a warm welcome and then were taken upstairs for the gin tasting and canapés. It was a brilliant experience. Informative and lots of laughs. I would thoroughly recommend it. There had been alot of effort put into it and the canapés really complimented the gins! We had the best time!

Amazing wine selection with great staff. The card system is good and fun for tastings. The bar itself looks really cute and is suitable for dates, friends gathering and work colleagues meet up!

Nice spot and good looking wine bar inside the arcade in Birmingham. Wine selection was OK, not outstanding. One of the white wines I had was a 40 pounds bottle Chardonnay and the wine was vinegar, essentially. I went for an urugauyan albariño which was hardly a pass. Unfortunately, it has the same system as Vagabond which I absolutely hate. You charge a card and with that card you select and go to little dispensers that pour wine. This makes the atmosphere super impersonal, cold and lacking in any kind of human interaction. It cuts opportunities to chat about wines and makes it very clear the place is only there for profit and not really for customer experience. The card is a trap for them to keep change and pounds you don't use. A shame.

Cheeky little spot in the arcade, quite small and cosy downstairs, bit more spacious and busy upstairs. We loaded a card up with £20 each and you just sample what you fancy from the wines on offer. Alternatively you can buy the bottle and they have various whiskey's and gin's etc. The charcuterie board and cheese boar were excellent so would definitely recommend them with your wine tasting.

We have been doing online tastings with these guys pretty much since they started them during lockdown. They are always fun and informative; we have learned so much about wine (and cheese) through both the Loki staff and the speakers that get involved as well. It is always interesting listening to the wine growers themselves and it always feels a little more personal than just a standard wine tasting. Highly, highly recommended these online tastings if you are not in the vicinity of one of their shops. Long may they continue :-)

As with all Loki events this was a very well organised wine fair with a great selection of both food and drink. The wine merchants were all incredible and knowledgable without being pretentious. It’s an event for wine enthusiasts and people that are new to wine alike.

Definitely the best wine store in Birmingham, such friendly and welcoming staff and have such spot on recommendations. The wine tasting experiences are also great fun whether you attend in person or take part in the online tastings. Thanks to Phil and Paul and the rest of the Loki team :)

Incredible wine selection and venue to have a classy engagement.

Had a wine tasting with my work here on 8th of October with Mariah and it’s was amazing!!! She was SO nice and friendly and most importantly funny. We learnt so much and had the most amazing wines with some really nice cheese 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!!

The tastings are a real treat and very informative. They also do Various WSET courses here which having been through myself i can highly recommend. My favourite place in town! I have attended many online tastings and visits to Loki premises, and they never fail to impress me. Excellent wine, knowledge, and having wine maker experts online is a bonus. The guys at Loki make learning about wine accessible to all.

I’ve been to a good few of their group tastings now, both online and in real life. Always informative and entertaining. Great laugh. Highly recommended.

Loki Great Western Arcade and Loki Edgbaston are both lovely, buzzy places to go and drink wine. The online tastings are also fantastic - you get 3 bottles of wine from a particular region (with optional cheese - recommended!) delivered, plus a Zoom link for a relaxed, fun, and very informative online tasting session which can be enjoyed live or at a time to suit you. The sessions feature Loki's in-house experts plus brilliant guests, usually winemakers joining the call live from wherever they are in the world and sharing their passion and, sometimes, views of their beautiful vineyards too.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sicilian wine tasting - Cristina was an engaging choice as her passion for the wines really came across. Along with the usual combination of Phil, Paul and Will we had an entertaining start to our Saturday evening. We enjoyed the cheese choices and the chat. Will continue to try more tasting options!

Love these zoom wine and cheese nights ! I have learned so much during the last 3! Years and it’s due to the knowledge and enthusiasm of the main “stars” and the guests.

What a great idea, little wine bar where you can load up a card and then try wines to your heart's content via self service. You can also buy wines by the bottle to take away. Nice ambience.

Really cosy place in central Birmingham.Nice wine selection , both new and old world ones , with choices ranging from more affordable to some more rare and expensive bottles.People working there really helpful and with good knowledge of the wines available so they can guide your choice.Strongly recommended.

I’ve been coming to Loki for years and every time I’ve been it’s been a great experience. There’s always plenty of wines to taste and buy. The staff are always on hand to help and suggest some wines when I’m (often) spoilt for choice!

Didn't know anything about Fruit wines which we were told by Birmingham Library is where we could all the information about if they had any Fruit wines I would have bought them but they didn't even recommend a single online website

This place is great! The staff are so knowledgeable and passionate about wine and spirits. It’s such a hidden gem in the city centre and is great for a corporate event, date, a catch up with friends or if you just want to drink a nice glass of wine on your own.

This place is a hidden gem of Birmingham! We visited when it was a little quieter to check out Loki. The owner was so helpful in describing his personal favourite wines to sample, and he pulled out a very nice selection. We loaded our card and sampled all the recommended wines. We were very impressed with the wines and the concept! We chose our favourite sample and purchased a glass to enjoy with a very nice cheese board. We're absolutely coming back!
