Great Curry, super friendly staff

The staff were OK but there felt like there was a grumpy atmosphere. I wouldn't go back it just felt unwelcoming. We only had one drink and left. Good to try, nothing at all wrong with the drinks just don't want to feel attitude from staff when I'm in a place

Celebrated my brother’s birthday with the birthday boy and my mother at Hot Tava, Kenilworth. From start to finish the atmosphere was very welcoming. It reminded me of an Indian wedding. The manager and waiting staff were fantastic from start to finish. The manager even went the extra mile to surprise the birthday boy with a birthday cake and played “Will I Am-It’s my birthday tune”. Many Thanks to the manager for his fantastic birthday cake. You made my brother’s birthday extra special for him. We ordered the Dholki chicken wings for starters and for our mains. We ordered chicken korma, peshwari naan, lamb karahi and butter chicken. All of the food was very tasty. I will definitely come back to Hot Tava, Kenilworth 😊

Went for birthday with my parents and brother. The decor was very pleasant, although it was a bit dark away from the window. The server guy was friendly and polite. The food didn't come all together which meant it was hot and fresh but you didn't really eat together. The food itself was tasty and the portions just about big enough. There was a tapas style starter side of the menu and a bigger dish for main courses on the back.

Absolutely disappointing and underwhelming experience at this restaurant. I thought I'd support a new local business by going with my small son to a Pre - Mother's Day supper on 9 March. The man who attended to us named Lee was totally uninterested in ensuring we had a good experience. He never asked how how meal was and he was standing right in front of us as we ate. What a let down, waste of time and of money. I'll not be going back and won't recommend.

I took a friend here for her birthday. The meal was pretty good, but the service was subpar. I would not go here again. There are better places with more flavorful food, and friendlier more attentive service: such as Anchalee in Berkeley or Nua in Oakland.

Ordered as we are staying in a local hotel. Fantastic delicious food, hot and fast delivery. Great value!!!! Shame we don't live here as would use all the time. Spot On!!!

I went yesterday while I was at work because there was a deal on the subway app and as we got there my brother went first asking prior before serving if we could use this offer and he said yes. When it got to the paying part he said we aren't participating in that so you can't use it! And my brother basically paid and walked off! I knew you could so I stood there while on the app and paid online instead. I could hear him saying stuff not sure what he was saying but he must of been moaning to himself. As I was in a rush I didn't fully fill out my sandwich because I thought while im there I'll just do it infront of him while he does it. but as it came to the would you like it toasted he said well it dont say it here tapping the receipt. Then the sauce the same again happened. At this point i felt that he was out to get me. So i ended up saying well if you didn't mess my brothers order up I wouldn't of had to order it online. He ended up calling me something I wasn't happy about, so I made sure to let him know that! I would recommend in future not to speak to customers like that because next time you'll catch someone on a bad day 🤝

The whole evening was an amazing one. The food was soo good and one of the vest Thai we have had. The staff food and atmosphere was just class. A small restaurant that is cosy and highly recommended
