Tambayan Filipino Kitchen in Warwick

Maybe people in Kenilworth have no concept of true Philippine food - they are however delighted to over pay for ‘fusion’… It’s pricey for what it is. The food quality is good but it’s not brilliant which is what the menu pricing suggests. Worth a try, you might fare better but wouldn’t be on my list of places to return to… Staff just don’t get hospitality - it’s functional, too casual, poorly informed ‘part time’ mentality.. change the front of house and you take it up a significant notch owner!!

Calamari fine -other tapas starters awful. Dumplings seemed microwaved and tasteless. Main course noodles -limp and absolutely tasteless-a soggy mess. Main course meals came out all at different times-not great.

Visited on a Tuesday evening with my partner. It's a small cosy restaurant with a homely feel but quite lively atmosphere. The food was incredibly delicious and staff very attentive. It's probably the best meal I've had in a long time.

This is a small cosy and friendly place to eat lovely heat warming food. The service is friendly and professional and very attentive. The food was very nicely presented and offered an explosion of tastes and textures. We ordered: - Yaki Goyza, Siomari, Salmon Pamdan (lovely meaty moist Salmon), Chicken Chicharon (like pork scratchings), Tempeh Sisig, Lechon Kawali, Fish Cakes. (Sorry not taken pictures of all the individual plates) I did only have 'Platitos' but will definitely will be revisiting to try those tempting 'Platos'. Cheers to the next time!

Lovely place, a bit hidden, and small! However the food was lovely. As a veggie, I did chose badly and had the noodles, which were covered in soy sauce, and the off carrot and mushroom. Couldnt finish it, but my friends enjoyed their meals. I would go again, but avoid the veg noodles!

We went for our wedding anniversary and what a gem of a place. Food was amazing. Great atmosphere. Tapas plates were so tasty and ample portion. We'll be back

My first visit to Tambayan. Visited on 12th October for an early evening meal with work colleagues, we were a group of 10. I had 3 small plates/Tapas which were so tasty and absolutely delicious. There were many more to choose from! Between the 10 of us, we tried many of the Tapas, main meals and deserts! A lovely atmosphere and efficient service. I will be back!

We discovered this little gem of a restaurant while looking at tripadvisor reviews. We decided beforehand that we would have a variety of small plates so that we could sample more of the food. We were so amazed by the quality and pricing of the food. The spring rolls were, we all agreed, the best we’d ever tasted. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the pork belly was sublime! Staff were friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back and would recommend this highly.

I celebrated my birthday here with the husband and a couple of friends. I was excited weeks ago, and kept looking at the menu. The food did not disappoint. I had pork spring rolls for starters and the Tapsilog. Wonderful flavours and vinegar seems to be a staple for dipping and flavouring. My husband had a pork knuckle. He loved it, but again, different compared to the German version but it was crispy as requested. Our friends, one of them being vegetarian, very much enjoyed it, too. The place is fairly small, so I would book to be on the safe side. Our waitress was friendly, had humour and above all, knew what she was doing. Only a small downside: I did ask for a quiet table which we didn't really get, and it would have been nice to have got a little tickle for my birthday. Highly recommended but don't make the same mistake as us. The entrance is around the back of the high street. We mistook it for the tradesmen's entrance, when it was not. Thanks Tambayan, I will return!

Having only tried Filipino food once previously & loving it, this was even better, so tasty! We had the spring rolls and veg gyoza to start, delicious. Then mains of pork adobo & tapsilog, the food and service were amazing. Decent portions, good selection of beers, bottles & 2 draughts. Many thanks for a great dining experience 👍

Lovely little tapas restaurant hidden just off the main street, Made very welcome on arrival, straight through to our table. Good choice of tapas food with the Filipino twist, every meal we could have eaten again as they were so tasty. Staff were always able to help and were attentive. Thanks for an excellent meal.

This restaurant is a hidden gem Entrance is at the rear we have passed it several times without even realising its a restaurant! Walk through car park & a garden gate into a Pretty outside seating area Another wooden door leads inside to the restaurant with small bar area Friends recommended this place to us its small intimate dining is a refreshing change from the bigger chains & has a family run feel to it Food portions are large but the food is amazing (kitchen is very small my friend went in a large group 10+ & the meals which are cooked fresh to order were not served together) However we loved it Very warm friendly personal service throughly enjoyable evening Booking strongly advised husband saying “We Must Return”

We called in for lunch around 12-00. Straight away detected owner was not very welcoming. No hello or any welcome at all. We picked a table and studied the menu. Ordered a couple of starters and a main , plus coffee for 2. Tried to make conversation with the owner but he didn’t seem interested. Food arrived, portions very small. Main was not much more than the starter. Not a word from the owner to ask if the food was okay. Paid the bill and said thank you and goodbye. Owner mumbled something don’t know what. He was more friendly with some regulars that had arrived. Will not be going Bach there again.

Found ths place by accident as off the main high street, its well hidden! But what a find, small but simple and with a nice yard area, perfect to eat when warm enough. Lots of starters, whcih you can treta like Tapas, or as did a starter and main each. Fantastic tasty food and served piping hot (a per hate when food coems out luke warm), freindly service and good value - I like big portions and a s atrted and main filled me. Even got Brew Dog on tap too. Will be back wih our daughter to try some other dishes.

We had a lovely afternoon celebrating my husband's 60th with friends and family. Laurie and her team produced so many beautiful dishes they were delicious. Highly recommend Tambayan for an intimate celebration. Sitting outside on their sunny terrace is simply idyllic!
