Come here quite a bit when I’m working down here and the food and service is excellent. Pad Thai is exceptional and easy to eat here if you’re a solo eater.

A very authentic thai restaurant a little bit outside from main street. I am from Germany and was carefull to choose the right dish. I ended up with a 2 chili indicated red curry dish with chicken. The dish was very tasty and I specially enjoyed creamy sauce - sometimes the sauce is very fluid, rthis was not the case. I definetly will come back to this place!

We visited this restaurant for the first time recently. The food was delicious. Had Penang Curry and starters of prawns in spring roll and chicken satays. The service was really quick and very polite . It got busy from 6.45pm. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and price wise not too expensive.

Exceptional cooking in a small privately owned restaurant. Husband and wife team with real points of difference, every meal cooked to order, freshest ingredients with all pastes etc homemade, hard to overestimate how good this is. If you are feeling brave ask about the Northern Thai dishes where the chef is from, you will not regret it or get these elsewhere..be warned addictive!

Once again Barrie and his staff have produced the most wonderful tasty meal for my wife and I . The tamarind sauce that accompanied my duck was absolutely delicious , my wife had a similar experience with her chicken and as a little treat I bought a jar of homemade chilli oil and a bag of spicy prawn crackers , a tasty snack for tomorrow . We can’t wait to go back to the Lotus Moon , perfection on a plate !!!! .

I have lived in Leamington for 40 years and visited many of the excellent restaurants in the area, and Lotus Moon has excelled in offering the widest choice and the very best food. Very friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere

First time eating out after lockdown we were feeling quite nervous. No need to worry - covid precautions were taken including cleaning tables and chairs between customers. The food could not be faulted - crispy duck sharing starter, Massaman curry, stir fry with cashew nuts and two types of rice. The staff were attentive and very helpful and the atmosphere on a fairly busy evening was extremely pleasant.

Visited here with my wife and daughter. We travelled from Scotland to visit my daughter who is at Uni in Warwick. My wife and I are both vegan. The food here was amazing. Ordered a takeaway for a Valentines treat. Chicken pad Thai and Chicken Massaman with garlic rice and amazing prawn crackers. It tasted so fresh and lovely, the best garlic rice I've had. And to add to the lovely meal, we were treated to a Valentines weekend treat of a romantic dessert. Their chefs are amazing and should definitely make those desserts available on the menu.....will be back very soon!!!

We recently started buying takeaway on a weekly basis! It’s always so good and so fresh. It is just as good takeaway as it was at the restaurant which is unusual.

Return visit since February...why did we wait so long! Oh yes a pandemic got in the way. Almost six months on, this restaurant thoroughly deserves to retain its number one status. The welcome, ambience, and the food are exemplary. We had a buffet for four and once again the quality of the food, the presentation and the fact it was busy on a Friday evening during challenging times...a pleasure to be there. Our friends had not visited before and were blown away by the authenticity of the food. Thai is their go too ethnic food and like us they agreed it was the best restaurant they’d been too. Well done Barrie and your wife for continuing to deliver an excellent service with wonderful food during a very difficult time...thank you.

We visited on Tuesday evening. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table and took a drinks order. The service was pretty slow, but during this strange new normal we could empathise with the staff. The food when it was served was fresh, vibrant and tasty! Staff were helpful and approachable. We will most likely visit again soon and certainly be recommending to friends!

Booked this having read the reviews and located in Leamington Spa on our exploration stopover. For current covid you wouldn't have known as it was very busy. Reservations recommended on a Friday and the eat out in August dates. What wa snoticeable was very few waiting staff just Barrie and his wife Mrs Turner. Rushed off their feet but with aplomb and a smile. We were a 8pm sitting so well established all tables looked occupied. We were hankering after soup and tom yung veg for her and for me tom Khai ga. He asked how spicy for the tom yum. She is Malaysian so a level of spice expected. To follow some beef satay. Then we opted to share duck curry, some chicken noodles and pineapple fried rice. Pics might not do justice. The tom young was declared deceptively spicy and exceptional. My tom Khai equally as tasty. Then came the beef satay generous skewers and very good tender meat. The mains came and the duck curry something never had was very good, great pieces of duck and flavourful curry. Accompanied by a great plate of chocken noodles and the pineapple fried rice. The sweetness helping tone the curry down. No room for dessert or coffee. But the flavours and quality were outstanding deserves its ranking. My wife said its one she wants to return to shame we live so far away but will surprise her and take her back. Thanks Barry great food a pleasure chatting to you.

Visited Leamington a couple of years ago and found this place and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Upon returning for a mini break we made sure to book ahead to guarantee a table given the Covid situation.We were not disappointed. Yes, you wait a little bit for the food but it is more than worth the wait as it is fresh and full of flavour...no reheated, overprocessed fare here. it was a delightful dining experience! My husband and I dined at the "Lotus Moon" last Wednesday, it was an absolute treat in every way. Beautifully cooked, authentic Thai food, presented well with the addition of the freshest of salad ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed my scallops starter seasoned and grilled to perfection, and the beef masaman curry main was creamy coconut sauce, full of flavor, and enhanced by the roasted cadjunuts added to it. My husband enjoyed his squid starter, and pork sweet and sour main. Service was prompt and efficient. The atmosphere was that of fine dining in an immaculate setting, yet, low key and relaxing. Had a really tasty meal here! Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was so I was very pleasantly surprised when they served up creamy curries full of flavour!Had the chicken satay for starters, then I went for a chicken masaman curry with a side of coconut rice, my partner went for a thai red (beef). They were all so delicious and generous portions. Service was a little slow but the food more than made up for it and this is now our favourite Thai in the area!

What a find! Can’t stress enough how delicious the food is! The service was super friendly and helpful with what to order (too many choices!). I would certainly recommend listening to the waitress when it comes to the spice/hotness of the dishes as she got it spot on with our spicy tolerance levels! Will certainly be back.

Lotus Moon is one of our favourite restaurants in Leamington. With the unusual circumstances of Corona Virus tonight we had a takeaway. The set up and organisation was excellent. We called earlier in the evening placed our order for collection at an agreed time. Our meal was ready and came out from the kitchen exactly as we arrived for our collection. Full social distancing in place. The food was delicious and hot- even when we arrived home five minutes later. If you are looking for a change from the usual takeaway- this is the one for you.

I love this restaurant. It’s always such a treat to visit. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area. Was thrilled to see they’re doing collections during the pandemic. Getting a collection slot is akin to getting Glasto tickets (my boyfriend and I rang 30 times before getting through) and the only collection slot was 9.15However, the food was exceptional! Absolutely delicious. Only drawback was that we ordered duck golden parcels and received the mince ones which I didn’t rate. Looking forward to normal life resuming so I can visit again!

I am aware that if you are complimentary about the food on the review you won’t get a negative response back from the Owner Chef who do not seem to take any form of critique well and rather than take on board constructive comments get quite angry and tell whoever it is not to bother coming back as they won’t be welcome. This style is clearly in fashion when you watch the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White who do produce food of Michelin quality.It is good to be passionate about what you do and to totally believe in yourself and clearly this restaurant has been a success by adopting the attitude that a non complimentary customer is never right and if they don’t like it then go elsewhere as there are many more places to eat.We are led to believe that Customer Service must always treat whoever turns up with the greatest respect even when they are rude and obnoxious so I actually respect the Owner / Chef for refusing to follow the rules of the hospitality trade, defend their staff and be totally honest and speak their mind and let the ignorant people who think they are so much better than anyone know their place.Regarding the food at the Lotus Moon I can say it was actually okay, not sure what they use spice wise but you certainly will want plenty of water or beer as it makes you thirsty. The service was good and the restaurant was busy and we were satisfied and full when we left so would go back. I cannot comment on how authentic the food was as I have only eaten Thai food before at the Sabai Sabai which was very good.

Read all the reviews but i have to say it did not live up to expectations.Starters- chicken satay - clearly overcooked and way too thick for chicken Satay Scallops for my wife you got 3 and tases were well cooked but cannot understand why the dip provided was so spicy even for my wife who is ThaiMains- Yellow chicken curry, was average at best. - Seafood noodles, no complaints here large amount of seafood from clams, scallops, squid, etc ,Service- i do not mind waiting a long time if the food is good but we waited at least 40 minutes for starters only to be disappointed.My opinion there are better Thai restaurants in Kenilworth, and Leamington and better value/service

A lovely friendly restaurant with excellent food and great service. The restaurant was recommended to us on a visit to Leamington and was an excellent choice. The four of us had set menu C. The servings were generous and the food was freshly made. I particularly liked the pork dish.

Excellent food, relaxed ambience, wonderful hospitality! We visited on a Wednesday early evening and Lotus Moon was busy. We chose a buffet for the four of us as we wanted to sample their menu!The food was beautifully cooked and presented with plenty of fresh veg. Generous portions and we had an epic fail as we couldn’t manage it all and we have decent appetites! Lotus Moon is easy to find, with ample parking across the road. We’re so glad we made the 40 mile round trip. Highly recommend and they deserve their number 1 status!

We visited this lovely little restaurant with my in-laws for dinner the first time we have ever been and most definitely not the last. The beef massaman curry was outstanding very authentic and my husbands favourite although all the dishes we had were amazing. The service from everyone was fantastic thank you. We haven’t eaten at a Thai restaurant for years but recently had the chance to visit here with friend for a reunion. They chose the venue and we were pleased Togo along. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our reserved table. The decor, lighting and service were excellent. We chose Banquet B between the 6 of us. Each course was delicious and piping hot and more than enough. So much so that we took a doggy bag home with us. We will certainly go here again and happily recommend it to others.

I have eaten at many Thai restaurants in the UK but this is by far the best I have ever been to. The selection offered is immense, and the food quality is consistently high. We have been here several times and never been disappointed ; the balance of herbs and spices is just perfect. The chef clearly loves to cook and is proud of her Thai heritage. I really hope the standard can be maintained with the increased popularity the restaurant is deservedly achieving. Another well known Leamington restaurant which for several years was 'up there' now offers miniscule amounts of meat in very spicy sauces; please don't go that way Lotus Moon.I would strongly recommend. The only downside is the service, although charming, can be a little slow. And if you are going to be upset that not everyone at the table is served at the same time (due to the chef wanting to serve the food very freshly cooked) then this may not be the place for you. All of this is countermanded by the superb food.

4th visit now and just as consistent as the first,food is exceptional & authentic on all the dishes.The wait is worth it because you know its cooked fresh food with such lovely flavours.Staff are all friendly and ask you preference on your dish.I`ve bben to Thailand before,and this food is just as good as any restaurants I tried out there!!

A truly excellent meal on Christmas Eve. Parked outside door of restaurant. Attentative service. We had banquate B from menue. The food was excellent, it all appeared to be freshly cooked and loads of it. The staff sugested taking remains home in doggy bag and this provided another complete meal a few days later. We have walked past this place so many times but never came in. When we did we found a typical polite Thai welcome and lots of regulars there, even though it was only Tuesday night. The food was very good. No fancy vegetables carved into shapes, just well-cooked meat and veg of good quality with a well-judged level of spice (at least for our palates). Portion sizes were just right for us. We had the mixed satay starters and a main course each. Would definitely come again in preference to other Thai places in Leamington.

They consistently serve delicious, healthy, fresh meals which are full of authentic flavours and ingredients. It is a great venue for a date night or for a family with a wide range of dishes in a clean, modern and well lit setting.

Extremely slow service. Have to pack our main dishes to go as don't have time for it. And when they packed it the soup split out and they just simply put the container in a bag without wiping the splitted soup! Honestly shocking horrible service! Waitress said we should let them know sooner that we need to go, which we did... Stayed for 50mins and just had the starter! I wouldn't say it's authentic Thai either. The starter Tom Yum soup we had has the taste but ingredients is completely different vs what we have in Thailand. Looks like they just use whatever they can get locally and put those in the soup. Not recommended at all.

I have eaten at Lotus Moon many times with my friends and thought it was about time I left a review. I am Thai and have been coming here with my Thai friends for two years now. The food is excellent and very different to most other Thai Restaurant I have visited, so much flavour. The food is spicy and very authentic and I particularly like the Tom Yum soup. I have always had good service here and will visit many more times.

I have always found the food delicious here and it is my favourite Thai restaurant in Leamington. It is a small business and unpretentious but occasionally, they seem to be a little under pressure, which can be noticeable in the staff, they are impatient with any requests of variations to their menu.
