Hot Tava in Warwick

The decor was fab. The staff were very friendly & asked how spicy how wanted your food. The overall experience was great. I would highly recommend that you pay a visit.

Celebrated my brother’s birthday with the birthday boy and my mother at Hot Tava, Kenilworth. From start to finish the atmosphere was very welcoming. It reminded me of an Indian wedding. The manager and waiting staff were fantastic from start to finish. The manager even went the extra mile to surprise the birthday boy with a birthday cake and played “Will I Am-It’s my birthday tune”. Many Thanks to the manager for his fantastic birthday cake. You made my brother’s birthday extra special for him. We ordered the Dholki chicken wings for starters and for our mains. We ordered chicken korma, peshwari naan, lamb karahi and butter chicken. All of the food was very tasty. I will definitely come back to Hot Tava, Kenilworth 😊

Fabulous staff, very attentive and really care. Lovely decor and atmosphere. The food was great, but and this why I didn’t give 5 star it’s maybe the worst tikka masala I’ve ever eaten. Tasted like tomato tasteless soup and loads of salt. It wasn’t nice and I struggled to eat without loads of rice. We will return as everything else was perfect.. but never ordering that again. Why so much salt?

Bring a fire extinguisher. I like a bit of spicy food, but this is ridiculous. There is just no need for it and it completely overrides any of the fragrance you should have from these dishes. A shame because the staff are friendly and the service is good. But doubt I’d return and feel this uncomfortable.

I had high hopes for Hot Tava but we were left disappointed. The food was good but the service appalling. We’d sat down to eat and I received a phone call from the restaurant asking why we were late for our reservation. Shocking. The service was slow, the waiter did try his hardest but just didn’t hit the mark. There are other Indian restaurants that we’d rather visit. Don’t think we will be back.

Decor very good location very good Prices over priced portions very small waiting times too long food arrived cold however the service was very good though sorry will not be going back again 😮😩

We went to Hot Tava for my daughter's birthday and had a wonderful meal. The people who served us were incredibly friendly and very attentive. They made great suggestions about dishes we should try and nothing was too much. My daughter had the chicken tikka masala and it was a bit spicy for her so they took it back to adjust the spice levels with no hesitation. I had a biryani which was delicious and so much I had to take some home. My husband had the lamb Karahi and I will definitely be having that next time, it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A party of eleven of us went a couple of weeks ago. After seeing the bad reviews when it first opened we were a bit apprehensive. But we needn't have worried. The food was delicious and the service really friendly and professional. All eleven of us said we'd definitely go back again.

Needs to up its game. Went midweek evening. Very quiet. Only 2 other tables being served. Took an age between courses. Unsure if the waiters were new but seemed very quiet and tbh a little timid. Food was ok but very oily. Ordered pint of lager only to find they decided to serve us bottles as it was not working but did not give us the option so just charged bottle prices!

I feel this place needs more positive reviews!! I was booked to visit this restaurant yesterday and had read so many reviews which were quite negative which made me feel quite apprehensive about going. But still after word of mouth from family members I went anyway. The food was lovely, wasn’t very sure about the poppadom sauce tray they tasted a bit funky to the usual mint sauce and onion mix but that’s just my personal opinion. Apart from that the meals were very nice and full of flavour! So tasty! The staff were friendly and kind. I would recommend and go back to this restaurant. Seems from a lot of reviews it didn’t set off with the best start but they’ve definitely improved!

Super happy with our evening at Hot Tava, the food and service was fantastic. The restaurant is so pretty and the staff very informative and friendly. Perfect evening to catch up with friends. Thank you for a great eve! Will sure be returning soon. 👍

Took my mum here for a Mother’s Day meal in the evening. The food was delicious. The decor is great. There was a lovely atmosphere. We ordered Butter Chicken for my children who can’t eat spicy food - it was nice for them. We also ordered a couple of mixed grills and chicken biryani. They were really tasty - hot and spicy but not obnoxiously so. Will definitely visit again!

We ordered quite promptly (but without feeling rushed); and as this was our first visit we had high expectations. The food was tasty; but both dishes were ‘oil heavy’ - they apologised; we paid and left. Being honest, a bit of customer service would have gone a long way. From experience, there are places in town which offer more.

Extensive menu. Tasty hot food, good value for money portions . Service could do with a little polish in terms of taking order etc, but not bad. All food came out together and wasn’t a rushed feeling. Has to ask for excessively loud music to be turned down.(we were right under speaker)

Very tasty dishes and great service. My wife and I chose different curries with Pilau rice and plain Nan bread. Just popadoms for starters. The portion sizes are generous and we could not have eaten more. Prices very reasonable.

Over priced mediocre food. Good service tho. Small portions Friday night takeaway that I travelled some distance to get to. Might eat here again if I'm in the area but not going to make a special trip again. Always happy to support punjabis but guts you need to up your game a little.

Visited with a group of mates on a Saturday night. Table booked for seven and arrived and was seated instantly. 45 mins later we got to order drinks, which we then basically collected ourselves from the bar. We asked a few times to be able to order food and this was eventually taken. We got our food two hours after we had arrived. The food was delicious! On the slightly spicy side which doesn’t bother me but caught some of our group out. Very flavoursome! Portion sizes were also very good. Whether we got a bad night for service I’m not sure but there were people arriving and having to wait for their booked tables because the previous bookings were still eating due to the slow output of food. Overall, lovely food, slow service. Maybe visit at the quieter part of the week.

Recommend here lovely staff amazing food and portions come here for my anniversary and I definitely will Be back I loved it here and the decor is amazing too can’t fault one thing

Beautiful, colourful setting with welcoming staff who were happy to suggest and recommend dishes. Great menu with some classics but also their own dishes. Including a small kids menu (with chicken nuggets!) and some fabulous cocktails. We tried some street food starters as well as onion bhaji, mixed grill, plus rogan josh, sagwala and a jalfrazi. All were a little more fiery than normal but that’s how we like it! Meat was soft and tender and the curries were not oily or heavy. Just perfect. Best dishes we have had in ages, we loved it and will certainly be back (could quite possibly be our new favourite) Thanks Hot Tava :)

First time here as its not been open long. Met at door by keerthi who looked after us very well for our stay. Roman josh very good little more spicy than usual the fish was ok but little to spice for me but still enjoyable saag excellent good portions of rice and chips would liked to seen bigger choice of rice eg mushroom , coconut. Not too expensive will definitely go again

Really great evening here We nearly didn't go after reading some bad reviews. I'm so glad that we gave this lovely place a chance. It was early evening, it wasn't busy and the service was attentive. Our drinks order was taken on arrival and promptly served. The waitress who looked after our drinks was lovely, we didn't get her name. Then a really lovely guy called Pawan came to take our food orders. He was knowledgeable about the menu and fun. He explained that each dish could be adjusted to our preferences regarding level of spice. Not only that but followed up checking we were happy and advising us how long our food would take. He kept our drinks topped up, had a good laugh with us and was a total star. The food was served in an appealing way and looked attractive. The poppadoms & chutney tray were of a great quality and our various curries were very tasty. We eat in all the curry places in Kenilworth and thought that this restaurant can hold its head up amongst them all. We will most definitely return and are glad we gave it a try.

Decor is really good, but mains took 1.5 hours to come out and were pretty small. We also got some stuff we didn't ask for, but after the wait time, we decided against flagging it up.

The food was Excellent, I had a Chicken Naga which was very good as a main course and would also recommend the Duck / Jhingha Prawn and Chops which we had as a starter
