Great sit in chippy for the afternoon! Food was delicious and will certainly be back again. Gravy was amazing!!

We went to the Chip shed for our valentine's meal this year and we loved it! The food was hot fresh and delicious, and presented really nicely, with the chips in little chip baskets. The staff were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed (almost persuaded us to get that gooey chocolate brownie!). The server was really chatty and asked us about our evening too. They even had their valentine's playlist on! We were also offered extra chips for free once we'd finished our first plate so left feeling really full! Will definitely be visiting again, a really nice fish and chips restaurant, great food, great staff! Thank you for a delicious meal :)

I had a lovely lunch here today! All staff i spoke to were polite and friendly, i struggled to decide what i wanted off the menu and Georgina came over and gave me some great recommendations which I really enjoyed 👏 Georgina's customer service was absolutely amazing, she had a lovely smile and attitude, it's rare to get such good customer service these days so it was very appreciated! Thank you Georgina! I will definitely come back here again as food was great and service was amazing, would recommended 💯 😊

This is the second time me and my lovely mum have had amazing hospitality from Georgina and Marcel .My time with my Mum is so precious with her fighting cancer.The kindness ,love and inspirational care plus the amazing service has been outstanding. Mum absolutely loves the food and the hospitality , she really loves the Chip shed. Disabled parking opposite and no steps makes this a wonderful place to restore our memories together

We ordered 2 doner kebab from The Chip Shed, delivered via Uber Eats, upon opening grease was pouring out of the packaging, holding the kebab grease ran down my hands onto my trousers and pitta was sodden with grease, not what you expect for £10 per kebab. My advice, let the meat drain before filling the pitta. For us it's an occasion treat, last night was a complete disappointment and cannot recommend 😔 Response to owner: the bag proudly said The Chip Shed on the side, and we ordered it from your website, so I assumed I was "telling the kebab shop"

Used the chipshed in warwick a fair few times... Went yesterday for some fish and chips.... Dont do mini fish so it costs 2 quid a goujon for a snotty bit of fish and then you need a regular chips which is not mini... My regular fish and chips was £13.45 and being honest half went in the bin... The crispy process they use was well over the top and the fat was all you could tsste. Both me and my friend said the same about them... Overpriced and not great... Recommended spinny hill you get napkins as well as chaper better food. More

I have only just moved to Warwick but my mum knew of this place and took me. Dog friendly which is great ! The customer service was attentive and engaging. The food was even better, refillable chips ? Couldn’t say no ! The batter in the fish was the perfect depth not to thing but not to fat. Definitely will be back no doubts !

I was looking forward to dining on hearty fish and chips. But the man who greeted me and served me was very abrupt, to the point of surly. The food was ok-ish, with the chips having been kept warm a long time I thought. The cod was fine. But what I did not like was the fact that the server ‘automatically’ added a gratuity to my bill. It was already a rather pricey experience, and I had not felt very welcome. I shall not go back.

We decided to pull into this town to get off the road for a while, decided to grab a bite to eat at wherever a random local recommended. They told us this particular store was the go-to for food. They were absolutely right, I spent little over £10 on myself and around the same on the other two I was travelling with, I enjoyed the nicest fish and chips I've ever tried to date. It actually reminds me of having fish and chips on the coast You get exactly what you pay for, lovely staff too all three of us who got brought food to go from here enjoyed it. The other two people with me enjoyed kebab meat and a burger and was also very impressed at the quality and taste of the food. Even the curry sauce was really good, different to what it tastes like up in the West Midlands very unique and absolutely delicious. We also had a battered sausage for the dog and of course I took a bite first, really nice regret not buying one for myself. 10/10 all on fronts here. The staff were also lovely which definitely adds merit to the rating.

Come all the way from Australia to sample the UK's fish n chips. Best tasting fish and so very fresh. I hope The Chip Shed reads this. You've ruined fish n chips for me. Since returning back to Australia I am constantly disappointed by my local fish n chips. I keep thinking of the wonderful cod I had in Warwick's the chip shed. Will be back in the UK in late 2026 and will beeline it straight to Warwick.

First visit to Chip Shed Warwick. Visited the Bourton-on-the-water restaurant previously - a tough act to follow - but Warwick, you smashed it! Just beat the rush following Warwick Races. Decided to sit in and kids had the Sausage Meal Special with unlimited chips! Lovely friendly staff who we had a bit of a giggle with. Massive queue when we left. Definitely come here again. Very average… service was quick & friendly but incorrect… starter came with main though we asked for it to come as a starter & side order didn’t arrive at all. Calamari had zero taste. Scampi’s and chicken pie were good… chips a bit meh & curry sauce wasn’t great, gravy didn’t look good but tasted nice.. it’s a 3 out 5. Would t come back.

Don't bother. We had great expectations after reading the reviews but they were trashed from the start. We had scampi (mostly batter) and Haddock. It was okay. The chips were stale, soft, lukewarm, and inedible. The mushy peas were lukewarm, and the staff were having a banter and a laugh a couple of tables away, killing the atmosphere completely. When the cool, stale chips and lukewarm mushy peas were mentioned, the response was deny, deny, deny. The tab of £38 plus an unmentioned gratuity added secrectly to the bill of £3 giving a total of £41. To suggest it was beyond disappointing would be an understatement. Do not go there is my recommendation. Ever.

Honestly the best chippy I've been to! Great service, smiley and hospitable staff, fairly priced, and refillable chips - the chips are crispy and delicious too so save room for another batch! We loved it so much we returned the next day

Food ordered 5.10 for 6 delivery. Didnt come until 7.15,from just eats. The worse fish chips,mussy peas iv ever had . It was cold ,fish was chewy, don't know how they managed that ,and crunchy peas. ....what a pill of crap. Never ever will.i go there again.

Me my wife and granddaughter were visiting Warwick and went to the shed on recommendation.. Being from Tipton in the black country we are spoilt for choice for great chips.the food was outstanding.We had chips,fish, chicken nuggets and scampi..It was some of the best we have ever had.. and a bonus is they serve great lager.

Have gluten free options which is very rare, The food was amazing and hot, a very good portion sizes and good value for money. Service was quick and friendly and very helpful. We keeping coming back all the time and

Walked from Kenilworth to Warwick today and came across the chip shop. My friend said shame we can't sit in, but then saw that we could so we were straight in the door. Staff greeting was warm and friendly, ordered cod and chips and battered halloumi. Best fish and chips I have had in a while, you could have more chips of needed but the portion was more than ample. My friend had the halloumi and she commented teh best she had had too. The fish was lovely and white. Our only problem was we then decided we had to walk back to Kenilworth to walk of the some of the meal. 100% recommend a visit. We might have to walk this way next month too.

The haddock chips and mushy peas were very very good. I don’t often have fish as it is normally greasy but this was not at all greasy and was very tasty and chips were also good. Service was good and the look of the restaurant was very up market.

This place is quality in every way. The interior is well kept, looked after and tidy. The food is sublime, pricing good, and the packaging vey tidy. Ran out of chicken but gave us free drinks instead.

I discovered The Chip Shed in Warwick through YouTube before my visit and was intrigued enough to book a table. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and seated quickly. The atmosphere was great, and the service was attentive from start to finish. One of the highlights of dining here is that all the food is cooked to order, so while we waited around 30 minutes for our meal, it was well worth it. The cod was absolutely perfect—crispy, golden batter that was mouth-watering and tender fish inside. The chips were a real treat too, fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, and the best part is that you get unlimited chips with your meal! Everything came out piping hot, which made the experience even better. The veggie burger was another standout, fresh, packed with flavour, and a fantastic option for non-meat eaters. Throughout our meal, the staff were consistently attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. When it was time to leave, every single staff member made an effort to say goodbye, which really made us feel appreciated. The Chip Shed offers not just great food but also outstanding service. This was possibly the best fish and chips we have experienced. Excellent service and taste with gluten free options for someone with celiac disease. If we lived nearby this is where we would go as we love our fish and chips.

Great relaxed atmosphere. The servers were so friendly. It felt clean and welcoming. The portions were huge and bottomless chips is a nice touch. Will eat in again.

Had the most fantastic sit in fish and chips with my wife. Fish was beautiful, fresh out the fryer and crispy as anything. Gravy was top. Perfect late lunch on a Monday!

11 out of 10 for every aspect of food and service. A random walk around Warwick on a rainy Sunday afternoon took us to a few wonderful small independent business and The Chip Shed was epic. The attitude of the whole team was brilliant and very upbeat. The taste and quality of the fish took me back to my best memories as a kid by the seaside. The huge chocolate milkshake was epic and fantastically made. The chips were great and the "free top up" idea is great. Happy and full customer and less food wastage too. My wife loved her "smaller meal" option too. This place caught us off guard with a level of service rarely seen anymore. We will be back and I encourage you to give it a try too. THANK YOU!

First time of The Chip Shed. Staying in the caravan site next to the racecourse and it was recommended. Lovely warm welcome. We ate in. It was lovely to enjoy a drink with our meal. I have to say it is one of the best chip shops we have ever been to. Beautifully clean, attentive staff and most of all the best scampi, pie and chips we have ever tasted.

Take away delivered - fish either off or not cooked. Really disappointing as the shop used to be so good.

decent price and large portions. fresh cooked to order. takeaway price is much cheaper than dine in and you can walk 3 mins to market square for a picnic on a good day. chicken pie was a bit spicy with lots of black peppers so if your kid don’t like spicy food avoid this.

We visited the chip shed in Warwick just the other day and were told by the rude female member of staff behind the counter that if we wanted to eat our meals at one of the many empty tables inside we would be charged £5 per meal on top of the cost of the food to eat inside. No wonder the place was empty! Needless to say we left and made other arrangments.The staff member in question definately needs an attitude adjustment and some training urgently. Looking at previous reviews left by others about badly cooked food and food poisoning I am glad we didn't eat there after all. Unfortunately I cannot leave Zero star ratings for the terrible chip shed in Warwick!

I have had previously great scampi from here in the past, but last night I paid £10.30 for the scampi, and just served overcooked batter balls, there was no pieces of good scampi in there. Unfortunately I couldn’t take it back because we had got it as a takeaway and paid online. This scampi was well over priced for such poor quality and standard. The chips, Onion rings and curry sauce were fresh and good but the curry sauce was just warm.

We came here a couple of months ago and the fish and chips were excellent. Then came again yesterday as we were in Warwick for a fish and chips. The chips were good again, but it was one of the worst fish we have ever had. Small thin and overcooked, so it was dry. If we did not have people with us, it would have come straight back. Such a small thin portion should never be served and should have been put in the bin or used for homemade fish cakes. Also if you are going to reprimand the staff you should not do it in front of customers or other staff. Having a drink in the Eagle afterwards, we overheard and talked to another chap who had the same poor fish that afternoon.

What a little gem. 7 hungry travellers were very well looked after here. Great food, good options for the kids and disabled and dog friendly.

The chip shed's food has been awesome for as long as I can remember as a local of warwick. Unfortunately not this time, ordered their cheese and bacon burger meal and I'm beyond disappointed. This is the most soggy, wet burger I've ever eaten. Ir was disgusting, I only had two bites and the pickled gherkins out of it which is a shame considering the cost. Disappointed deeply

Ordered from here for the first time and all the food given was extremely disappointing for the price, the chips tasted old and dry like they were old chips. Sent an email regarding this and had an email back saying they would give a refund if I provided a receipt or detail about my order, they never got back to me after I sent my receipt. The food and the service was disappointing and I wouldn’t be ordering again

There's a reason this is an award winning establishment for fish and chips because this was the best fish and chips I've ever had. My husband and I were quickly seated in this bright, clean and warm environment. The cod was fluffy and hot, and it just melted in my mouth. The batter..I've never had a tastier batter. The fries were fresh and perfectly cooked. I even tried the curry sauce, which was delicious. I highly recommend this place. Cheers from California!

Fantastic- I’d go as far to say that this is the best fish and chips we’ve eaten and we come from a seaside town down south. Skip the mushy peas (they weren’t the best) and go straight for the curry gravy! lush!

No longer fresh I've been going to your Chip shed in Warwick once a month and have been since covid. Today for the first time I felt your food has gone down hill feel like the chips tasted like they were left over from lunch Not only tasted but you could also see it in the chips Disappointed I ordered 4 meal deals and they were all the same See attached photos

We sat in the restaurant for fish and chips and wow what a treat it was. Fish was outstanding, very tasty and very big. Chips were chunky and unlimited I'm not surprised it was awarded for being one of the best in UK.

What's a little gem of a chip shop. I found this place to be fun and good value excellent food the fish was top notch, the service was very good as well and decent portion size. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant for a great night out

Chips was so hard had a nasty taste very dry not fluffy chips they had black spots on them £4.85 wasted as could not eat it ordered 2 chips batches ordered a mixed kebab and chips and then was told they had no chicken kebab after paying very disappointing and a total waste of money I will not be returning I

This is the only chip shop for miles around that offers on its menu chips that are vegetarian - not fried in with fish or other meat. I tried to visit 45 mins before it closed only to be told that the vegetarian fryer is already off, so only chips in beef dripping are available.

Let down today chips funny colour and rock hard small fish which was quite fishy I'm sure they changed the oil or something I only eat fish n chips from the coast or here and I travel from Birmingham for it I hope this not the beginning of the end for the chip shed will give another go next week then decide and let u all no

When I popped in just before closing I sampled a few dishes. Extremely tasty chips, scallops and chicken. Young fashionable male staff too!

We were visiting the area for a short break and after a long day needed some wholesome food. The Chip Shed delivered just that. Good, well cooked traditional fish and chips with some excellent mushy peas.

We was in the area walking the dogs in Abbey Fields (The Kennilworth walk around the castle was closed) and wanted somewhere that did gluten-free takeaway. So I can honestly say we were not disappointed!! The food was excellent, especially the mixed kebab and chicken meat made with pulled strips of chicken. The chips were also nice and crispy. They even provide a beeper that goes off when your food is ready to collect. Will certainly be going back there again!!

After having a great first experience a few years back I've been back 6-7 times and been disappointed every time. Fired chicken that is crunchy not crispy. Chips that are cold and dry and fish that gets thinner each time whilst the price goes up. On last my visit I explained to the girl serving I only wanted chips if they're fresh and hot. I was served a mix of a few hot chips with a batch of older dry chips. Very disappointing and will not be giving them a further chance. Prefer to support some smaller independent that values the customer more.
