Very busy, slow service and very noisy. No fun

Thank you Stacy, IIana and the rest of the Team at the Orange Tree. The service, food and atmosphere was excellent. We cannot thank you enough.

Called at the Orange tree after visiting Baddesly Clinton Hall. There were no seats available in the dining area it was around 1-30 pm so we were offered seats in the narrow bar area directly opposite the bar . We were shown to our seats provided with menus and ordered drinks . Drinks arrived . We sat for a long time and infact my husband and I finished our pint and half pint and looked around wondering if we had been forgotten .Staff from the restaurant end seemed to glance over periodically and we thought they were coming over to us but they never did . Finally having waited long enough we decided to walk over to the bar and pay for our drinks. I put the menus down on the bar for the waitress to see . My husband ask if we could pay. No apology . I said I think you had forgotten us . She replied “ my colleague was just coming to take your order” ?? Very Doubtful. No further apology. Didn’t get very much further with a phone call made immediately following our visit , other than to find out that the staff had obviously had been listening and sharing a conversation we had Would never go back

Based on a recommendation, I booked the Orange Tree to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. What a fantastic experience it was. From the moment we arrived, my mother was made to feel special; the staff were very attentive and went above and beyond to make the meal special for us all. The food and atmosphere was lovely. I have no hesitation in recommending The Orange Tree. Thank you for making this occasion so special.

Popped in with my wife for a quick drink. The atmosphere was great and staff were amazing and very helpful and friendly so we ended up staying for food and more drink. Food portions were just right too. A great evening spent here and will definitely be recommending it and returning! Note: Vegans options are sadly lacking - this needs addressing for all those that are vegan and have milk intolerances please!

The food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly. Allergies catered for with ease, for an inclusive dining experience. Really impressed.

I take my mum there every week for lunch and if it wasn’t expensive enough they’ve started to put a service charge on the bill which I feel is totally unreasonable, pay your staff a decent wage.

Went out for an evening meal. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. Probably best to grab the 2-for-1 deal on pizzas for best value. When one of our orders came out wrong, the staff were quite abrasive and rude. Overall, we won't be coming back.

Went Christmas eve afternoon food was delicious and staff were very friendly and very eager to please thoroughly enjoyed it

Not our first visit. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Also catering to us bringing our dog too. The food is delicious and presentation is great. Love the log fire, such a relaxing venue.

I met a friend here recently as it was a central location for us both. Inside it’s lovely. It was busy but it had a really nice atmosphere. There’s a pretty big menu but hardly anything was vegan so I ended up with a pizza, which was so disappointing. It was so hard I needed a steak knife to cut it and the topping was just a pathetic sprinkle of vegan cheese. Service was nothing special, I actually thought the staff didn’t seem that happy. But of course the standard service charge was added at the end. It might be much better if you eat meat and fish, but shan’t be returning to this pub again.

It's not the cheapest pub but not very much more than all the pubs around about and by far the nicest atmosphere. Cosy classy comforting surroundings. Becoming lighting throughout, lovely bar staff.

A lovely pub with excellent outside seating especially on a sunny day.

I loved the atmosphere, very friendly staff, and fast service! We did not have a booking but were sat down within minutes! Friendly and helpful staff, who took our orders, checked on us that were okay! Food was lovely!

Had a 2 for 1 pizza today and was very average think I counted 6 pieces of chicken on mine. Would not have liked to have paid full price. Not good value

The staff were very friendly and accommodated us last minute. We were visiting the area and had no idea where to go for food. I rang up 8.25pm on a Saturday night and asked if they had any tables available and what time they stopped serving. We were told kitchen closed at 9.15, I asked if we could be there in 20 mins would we be okay for food and we're told they would squeeze us in. We arrived at 8.45pm. When we arrived were had a warm welcome and the restaurant was busy. Lovely modern restaurant, where the food was beautiful and very reasonably priced. Thank you. If we didn't leave 250miles away we would definitely go again.

The whole experience suited our wish for a quiet family celebration. Staff were wonderful, food was amazing with substantial portions and we cannot recommend this venue enough.

There is a nice atmosphere in this restaurant. The decor is pleasant and it is clean. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our food as much as we should have. The dish I chose was far hotter than I expected, to the point that I could not eat it but I was told the chef says it’s ok. My friend was not happy with their meal either. The food is too expensive if you are not actually able to eat it, therefore cannot recommend. Is a pleasant place just for a drink.

Lovely meal, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and decor. Only criticism is that the tables are too close together and it’s a bit a squeeze to get in and out without disrupting the next table. Baked Mushrooms were 👍

Very pleasant afternoon, good menu, would definitely return.

Went there last Friday for a birthday party, nice pub, good atmosphere. Hired a tupee. Our food was actually really nice,. Couple of annoying things, wife ordered 2 cocktails at 20.58 was told couldn't do the buy 1 get 1 free anymore, very odd, still 2 minutes left!! Service charge £46. Food wasn't actually served, just brought out on trays, and people were tipping the waitresses anyway. The service charge was removed. I'd probably go back there.

Food and staff were excellent, unfortunately the noise was dreadfull, but the manager moved us,and everything was fine. We will be back!!

Great atmosphere it was sitting in the rear gardens on a hot sunny Sunday. They had a duo playing some really relaxing music in the background. It was my 1st time visiting as I was playing football across the road and I will definitely be returning with the family

Only popped in for a drink whilst passing but its a stunning pub, will definitely be going again!

Had Sunday lunch it was ok but felt it was expensive and not value for money sadly, coffee & deserts were extortionate so we did not participate or returning. Poor show of vegetables too.

Beautiful venue. Plenty of seating inside and out...staff were friendly and attentive. Menu has an excellent choice of food which was pretty promptly served too. Would highly recommend the butter chicken and blue cheese mayo burger - wasn't over powering, it was delicious! Decor is very nice also providing you with a lovely modern country pub vibe.

Lovely as always! Cocktails and pudding were fab. The main menu wasn't to my tastes this time but we have been so many times before and always been great. Lovely atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. We will be back.

Food was OK We ordered the Hake, sides and Porkbelly But for some odd reason, we never received our Fries 🍟 . We flagged it up twice and it was never served. We were so puzzled as to why they would not serve us our fries. No apologies towards the end and nothing taken off the bill.

Been here a few times now, and always a good experience. We called in on Saturday afternoon, on the way back from Warwick, to have lunch. Service was prompt - we hadn't booked, but we're shown to a table straight away. Once at the table staff were prompt in taking our drinks order, and returning with the drinks. Once we had decided on what we wanted, staff were quickly over to take the order. We went for the nachos to share as a starter, we had the small portion, as we were advised that it was quite big - which was the case! Home-made nachos with what looked like home-made nacho cheese sauce on the side and lots of salsa, sour-cream and jalapeños heaped on the nachos themselves - very tasty! I had the 1/2 Spit-roasted chicken, with bourbon bbq sauce and fries, and my partner opted for the sea bass. Both were well cooked and arrived quickly after ordering. My only niggle is the description of the chicken, 1/2 a spit-roasted chicken normally means just that, a chicken cut in half, whereas this was a small breast and a leg portion. As I say, only a niggle I've description, it was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely call in again when in the area

I have been coming to the orange tree for a long time. The service hasn’t always been great but the food always made up for it. The quality and portion sizes were great and good value for money. I came recently for an evening meal and it was honestly awful. The service was terrible as expected but the food was just as bad, the quality, the portion sizes, everything was just completely different to what I’ve always experienced. Me and partner always order the hot wings to start and they were the best starter on the menu. The wings we got were undercooked, unseasoned, very small portion than normally and the chicken quality was horrible. The pizzas we got for our mains were just as bad, the base was so thin, the crust was too thick, and it was dry and flavourless. The staff overall are just not very attentive and just give the attitude they want you in and out. Not to mention over hearing some of the staff talking about customers and making unpleasant comments which is completely rude. Personally I don’t think I’ll come back to the orange tree anytime soon, which is a real shame because the food always used to be really lovely and I would always recommend to friends and family, now I would just avoid.

Awful staff. Service took ages since all of the staff were sitting at the bar drinking. One waitress mocked my elderly grandfather for walking slow.

Just had a couple drinks! (no food) Quick service and good times! Would definitely recommend.

Been here many times, last nights food was just awful, maybe Monday isn’t the night to visit! Burnt nachos, soggy calamari, undercooked pizza, unseasoned food, long await times, and they even managed to serve the weirdest limpest moist celery I’ve ever seen. Very poor, below par, disappointing. In the end didn’t even get any dinner :(

Nice food but not very hot, service a little slow but was very busy.

First trip back after a couple of years, and I’m afraid we came back a little disappointed. The menu doesn’t seem as diverse as it was previously, with more typical pub fare on offer. Not bad by any means, but not quite as good as it used to be in our opinion.

Great place to eat and you can take your dog too

Recently visited the Orange Tree twice over the Holiday period. The staff have been very helpful during both visits we had 2 very young children so needed some space. The restaurant a lovely ambience. Unfortunately the time we had to wait for food was over 40 minutes, maybe it was due to starter's but still way too long, also the truffle mac and cheese was served on a cold plate and was barely warm and had little flavour of truffle. The staff did take the cost of the meal off the bill, but it still spoilt the evening. Generally a good place to visit, but keep an eye on the serving time.

Good service,but seeing the bar staff and the chef on there break sitting at the bar with there legs literally on the bar wasn’t a good sight. Left one girl on the bar and the 2 blondes taking selfies of each other. Not a good site. 👎

Food was lovely and the service was good. No vegan dessert option, which is a real shame these days. Definitely a better quality of food than many of the nearby pubs. The seafood linguine was perfect.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and attentive service. Thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas Day meal here. Book early to avoid disappointment Not keen that dogs are allowed to sit with guests at the table but this didn’t impact our booking on this occasion

Only went for a drink, looked at the menu a little limited and quite pricey, staff very friendly and helpful, would recommend but depending on what you fancy, sharing menu looks nice and food we sore come out looked good.

Sorry to say that it wasn't the best experience. The service was very slow, when my starter arrived it was cold & the restaurant was very cold. The last time was great to be fair.

Friendly staff, landlord fantastic man. Food and services on point, and atmosphere is always great whatever day you go in, also the regular who go into pub are also friendly . All in all top marks. 👍

Really nice find. Discovered on a quick stop on route to visiting family in the south and vowed to return with them. Lovely interior, a large restaurant but with a cosy atmosphere and different areas and levels. The staff were brilliant considering how busy it was. We were 40 minutes late, and it wasn't a problem. The food was good and plentiful, not the best roast beef, but it could have been an off day. Everything else was perfect, thank you.

The Orange Tree is a nice pub with a great atmosphere, unfortunately the food doesn't quite live up to its price tag. I had the seabass from the specials menu, whilst my partner had the pork belly. Both of which were good but easily forgettable. The menu is very standard for a country pub and for us nothing really stood out. The deserts are expensive and not that large. On the plus side, they do 2-4-1 pizzas on a Monday to Thursday lunchtime and from 5:30-6:30 in the evenings. (not wood fired)

Always excellent ! Guaranteed great food and a friendly service. I’ve dined here over the years and it’s never let me down; great range of food from pizzas to freshly caught fish which is all superb. Also a great ambience just for a drink and it’s nice to have a proper pub with a roaring fire.

I have been coming to the Orange Tree for years…staff, service and food is never a let down. I recently went for a quick catch up over beer and pizza with a friend I hadn’t seen for a while. Atmosphere was vibrant and food was as good as ever! I will be returning soon!

A nice country pub with good food and a decent atmosphere. A little on the pricey side, but hey where isn't these days!

A lot of options to choose from which includes some vegetarian options as well. The place is warm and busy. The drinks were amazing and loved the aubergine dish. Would highly recommend to book a table else you will end up in sofas or very small chairs. Will visit again. Note: Visited in September 23

Visited @ 16:00 , wasn’t a full restaurant. Poor & slow service, drinks order had been forgotten and we had finished our food before it came. (Apparently the staff member went home.) Small portions for the veggie roast, small amount of veggies (2 tiny carrots) and nothing else added to compensate for no Yorkshire pudding. Veggie wellington wasn’t great, soggy & cold. Ice cream was full of ice? The bill was very expensive for the service and food we received. Wont be returning

Amazing food but got my drinks order wrong twice

Great stone baked pizza. Nice atmosphere Service was OK. Getting a bill and paying proved a challenge.

Excellent Sunday roast. The pink beef was cooked to perfection.

Staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience! Food well prepared and tasty. Always worth a visit.

Up-market pub for lunch. Pizza is their specialty but plenty of other choices. Good atmosphere and around £30 a head with drinks.

I didn't eat on this visit, but the food going to the tables looked good. Nice grassed garden with plenty of shelters. Large car park. Very good non alcohol beer.
