The Heathcote in Warwick

This is a great pub/restaurant. We have been here a fair few times over the last few years. We have never had a problem. We've also celebrated my sons 13th surprise meal here with a large group. The food and service was faultless. I think the menu choice is varied to cater for all. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is amazing with generous portions. The service is very prompt and efficient. I'm glad we live near such a fantastic pub/restaurant. Also, if you have a dog, you are able to sit in the "bar" area with your dog. We sometimes take our little cockapoo with us. By the way, the "bar" area isn't like a typical bar area in a pub, it is very much still part of the restaurant and to be honest, if we was automatically seated in the bar area, we wouldn't notice as it's no different to the restaurant area.

Nice food at a reasonable price.

We rented a private party area for a daytime event and it was excellent. Food was tasty and plentiful, staff friendly, atmosphere pleasantly pubby, and the price very reasonable.

Christmas Day Dinner. Where do I start....Soup was cold had to send it back for a hot one. The bread roll was warmer. Carvery.....plates cold.....cauliflower cheese cold.....potatoes cold inside and rock hard....other veg barely warm. How to disappoint on Christmas Day when there is no where else to go. Will not be returning next year. I had heard previous bad reviews in the run up to Christmas but how can you get a carvery so badly wrong!!!!

Great Christmas festive menu .. no fault on the food and staff were busy .. we pre ordered but still had to wait 1hr from booking time .. staff informed us that another table had a replate.. overall food was awesome

We went here for my Husbands 40th birthday. There was alot of us, but Ewen made it all very easy for me to organise everything and so helpful! Nothing was to much trouble. The staff also, Ruby i think and maybe Lucy? 🤔 Everyone was so kind and the service was brilliant. Food was perfect. Yes very happy. Thank you all so much for helping me give my hubby a lovely birthday meal. 10/10

I was really disappointed today from start to finish. I found the members of staff continuously rush you to make your order. I noticed a few people getting quite annoyed about this. I had the carvery, it lacked any flavour and the beef was so tough I couldn't cut it with my knife. When a member of staff came to collect my plate. I told the member of staff that I was unable to cut my meat as it was so tough. The member of staff just said, " so it was a little tough".I told the member staff it wasn't a little tough, it was very tough and then the member of staff just left. I will not be recommending the Carvery.

Tonight we had festive fayre at the Heathcote Inn. I was absolutely blown away at the service we received. The staff were impeccable and the food was delicious. Everyone was happy to help and couldn't do enough for us. Tara and the rest of the team served us with a smile, and allowed us time for chatting and a rest between courses as requested. Very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I am already booked in for another date. Well done to all involved.

Came with a large party for a birthday. They made it a great trip. Carvery was great and a good selection of trimmings at a reasonable price.

Guess we chose a busy time. That's our bad luck; I don't like busy, especially when we can't get parked. My chicken was overcooked hence the 3 stars. Service was good, friendly and helpful staff. My verdict? Almost ok.

Love this pub shame didn't realise until eating area has no heating. Hope it sorted soon

Visited today, a chilli November day and it was quiet cold in the pub. From memory, not the first time I'd had this thought, same last year. Overheard other customers saying the same thing. Come on, make it a more pleasant experience with a bit of warmth!

I would've given 5 stars as you certainly can't fault the service however, I don't mind paying £20 for a mixed grill but mine arrived without the advertised onion rings and a very small piece of chicken. The food was very nice indeed 😋 👌🏻 and we didn't wait long for it to arrive and the place was rammed full.

We've been here about 4 times in the last month (as a couple) and then as a party of 8 on Father's day. Every time the food has been great and the service attentive and friendly. Sunday was the first time we'd tried the carvery and we all agreed it was great (better than a Toby Carvery). The menu isn't extensive, but everything we've tried so far has been great. My only improvement suggestion would be to use bigger buns for the burgers. They are delicious but the buns just disintegrate and you have to use a knife and fork. (Pretty petty eh?). We love the mango and passion fruit cheesecake.

The Heathcote is a nice normal pub with decent prices and decent food. Car parking can be difficult at peak times

Excellent food, I had the chicken steak with a mushroom and peppercorn sauce which was wonderful, and the little lady had seabass. We finished off with the cheesecake for me and roulade for the little lady.

Tuxford chicken was delicious & the calamari was the best I’ve tasted 👏🏻

Have been to the Heathcote now a good few times and recently have undertaken their Sunday carvery, Booked in advance and have to say the food was amazing along with the service Keep up the good work

Had a really lovely birthday family meal for my 10 year old. Staff were so friendly and the food was great. When my son knocked his ice cream on the floor and broke the glass, the staff were so helpful and kind clearing it up and got him another one made straight away. Couldn’t have asked for more, highly recommend a visit.

There were far too many chips that were only luke warm, and the pie crust was brittle with very little meat in it. Won't return.

Visited this pub on mother's day. Had a great pod outside that was heated. We all went with the intention of having the carvery but the menu looked that nice we all had something of that. Me and my wife had the mixed grill and lamb shank. Gorgeous

My partner and I had the Tuxford Chicken dish (grilled chicken with mushroom and Stilton & peppercorn sauce and vegetables and potatoes) for dinner. We spent the night with indigestion, stomach cramps and diarrhoea. This is a place I won’t be going back to avoid poisoning again.

Great place to have lunch and dinner. Atmosphere is excellent. Staff is always lovely. Food is always delicious and freshly made. Parking is available though it can get busy sometimes.

Best all rounder, just a shame it closes at 10:30.

Birthday celebrations for 60th . Great table for 8, we all managed to talk to each other and no-one left out. Prompt service for drinks and ordering food. One of our party couldn't have cheese so they adapted the meal he wanted to meet his needs. The food was hot , well presented and all at the same time. We brought a homemade cake and the staff were helpful with storing the cake , plates and forks. A super night for all of the group . Thanks a million

When management changed I thought to try it again. Exceptionally pleased with initial outing. Had a fabulous steak pie with well presented veggies. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. So pleased I took a party of 10 again a week later. All food served was excellent. Have since recommended the Heathcote to many of the Bowls England Bowlers attending national finals during August They have all reported being very pleased. Take a bow Heathcote.

Great little find. Gardens, yes plural, are lovely. Good was really good and well priced. Staff did their job, nothing more. Not as engaging or chatty as one would think, but nothing to moan about. Well worth a visit, Friday lunch gets stupid busy, I assume because of the local businesses nearby.

Burnt, solid burger. Garlic bread that was impossibly hard, Mac and cheese that was cold and runny, staff bouncing balls to each other the length of the restaurant. Jesus, it was the pits.

I can never fault this place. I come here whenever I’m in town. Food is always great and staff always super friendly and accommodating. We did have one issue the last time I was here but it was rectified immediately with no issue or fuss. A great place!

Stopped of for Sunday carvery, bottle of prosecco and water, not keen on the vegetables meat roast beef, gammon very tasty to full for dessert

Booked in for lunch as my daughter is in the nearby hospital. Greeted by very pleasant and helpful staff who took time time to make us comfortable as my daughter is in a wheelchair. The food was very good as was the service . The steak was excellent 👍

A family group of nine, including a toddler. We sat in one of the three outside covered pods. Very comfortable and plenty of room. Staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. Food was excellent. I had the mixed grill, best I've had, all the meat was cooked perfectly (very unusual in a mixed grill). Pies, flatbreads and burgers were all praised. Toddler enjoyed the play area, even had a bouncy castle. All in all, can't fault the place, will definitely return soon.

Outstanding service went with my mum who is in a wheelchair and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. I unfortunately forgot the name of our waiter but he was great. Very disability friendly

Had the lunch special at The Heathcote on a quiet Monday afternoon. The food was good - great value for money (17 pounds for two 'light' lunches). The service was excellent. The setting is really nice. Will definitely return

Went for a family meal on a Sunday just after the new year, had to wait a few minutes for our table as they cleaned and relayed it after the last customers. I had the carvery which was an easy and quick service while some members of the family had items off the menu. Subtlety asked after a couple of hours when ordering another round of drinks after our dessert to have it brought out to us in one of their outside pods with the heater on, so subtle that I had to spell it out to the family as I knew what the waitress was politely asking us as I work in the trade as a head chef. Not a problem and the pod was cosy and warm on a cold day. Drinks and food was good but the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was I saw that when they topped up the veg and potatoes were piling the new stuff on top of the old stuff in the carvery trays rather than taking the old stuff out and putting that onto the new stuff.

Meal today was great, staff fab, but one criticism, not a good idea to put dressing on the delicious looking salad. We should be asked it's a personal choice, swimming in oil. Uh

Whether here on our day trip to Warwick and found a gem. The service was lovely and food came out quick and hot even though it was really busy. The food was brilliant hats of the the chef as everything was cooked well and tasted so good, it was almost Michelin style but bigger portions. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delighted to find the Heathcote on a recent trip to Leamington Spa.... Starting with a very warm welcome, the staff could not have been friendlier nor more professional and the food was absolutely fantastic!! The Surf and Turf was spectacular as was the Flatbread I had filled with chicken Tikka.. Yummy!! We were just too full for puddings but they looked fab too! A real gem of a pub!

This is not cheap but the food reflects the quality. The service was very good and we will return.

Had the roast dinner today and it was epic!

Loved it, the cavery was amazing, although I ordered the pigs in blankets and I'd half eaten my meal before they came but these two were lovely. My husband had a mixed grill, which was a little burnt, but he did say it was very tasty. It was well worth the value. The starter was as big as a main but totally delicious, even squeezed in a pudding, although I really shouldn't have.

Nice pint of Theakstone's Old Peculiar. Chose the Lamb Rump, which was quite tasty but quite a small portion for the money. New winter menu (visit on 21/10/22) included a creditably tasty steak and ale pie. Very nice. 😋

No pub should close at 10.30pm!! What world are they living in??! In my day, pubs opened at 11am and closed at about 11.30pm. And closing the kitchen at 8pm????? Why?! Close it at 10pm and get more late night dining in. Rubbish.

We visited today, not local, we were visiting our Daughter who studies near here. What an absolutely fantastic pub - from the moment we walked in to the time we left...everything was perfect. We asked for a dog friendly area. The young lady who served us (red hair) was friendly, welcoming & even asked the Chef for some scrag ends of meat for our dog & brought her a water bowl - she is an asset to this establishment. She was lovely. The carvery was just incredible with everything...there was no queue & things were still being replenished later in the day. If I had to pick one negative it would be the beef which was quite pink, I prefer it more cooked & I did hear a lady behind ask for hers to be taken away & cooked a little more. They didn't hesitate. All the staff here are super friendly & efficient, they work so hard. Will definitely return as we need to try a pudding, we were just too full!

The Heathcote is our daughter’s favourite restaurant so we popped in for her birthday as a party of 9. The food and service were 10/10 and to be honest it’s always this good. Great to have such a fantastic pub as my local. Well done team!

First time visit for a Sunday Carvery....fantastic choice of food in a very pleasant atmosphere...staff are so helpful and very nice.

Where do I begin? As a friday treat me and my pal decided to try this lovely looking establishment and what a treat it was! First met by lovely Georgia who looked after us and was so friendly with an amazing warm personality, the bitter was exceptional and the food was in the elite category fresh,well put togeather food bursting with flavours and at a reasonable price you can't go wrong. Lots of deserts but we recommend the bread and butter pudding it makes your taste buds make love so with that we woukd like to thank you all for an amazing experience.... Wayne & Craig

I returned my steak as it was stringy & tough. Replaced it with a chicken dish which was very nice. Refunded my steak & no charge for my replacement order. Very kind. All good other than we all sat in the restaurant with our coats on as it was very cold in there.

Fantastic food. All staff were friendly and warming. Check back on the food was great and the team were interested in knowing what we had eaten and chef feedback. Parking is limited so be there early! This venue is always busy. The food is truly beautiful and recommend the crunchie cheesecake ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We went for the carvery. Everything great, however had to give the table up after 2 hours which is acceptable but long queue for the food which meant we didn't have so long at the table. No additional time to order desserts

This is my second visit, and I brought my family here to celebrate Christmas. The appetizers were good, so we ordered steaks as the main course. However, we were disappointed because the medium-rare steaks we ordered were cooked well-done and ended up being tough and chewy. Even the medium-cooked steaks were overcooked and resembled rocks, making them inedible. Despite the quality of the beef, it was not prepared with skill, resulting in a waste of ingredients. We thought your steaks were excellent, so we ordered six servings, but everyone was disappointed.

The meals and service were excellent.

Good service and pleasant staff . Surrounding where nice and would go back again . Parking can be a problem as a small carpark so you may need to park near by . We had fish & chips which was OK but not best I've had for the ££ but nothing to complain about . GF had the desert which she said was lovely So 7 / 7.5 out of 10 as a score

We just had our Christmas day dinner here, we have been to other places before for Christmas and this was by far the Best Great food,staff and atmosphere 👌 definitely recommend it.

Place was packed and we hadn't booked but we were happy to sit at the only table left (small one near the door) just to be able to enjoy their carvery.

I've visited this restaurant several times over the last couple of months and have thoroughly enjoyed each of my visits. The food is always to a high standard with a great varied menu. The staff are always welcoming, polite and friendly. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed !!!

Got charged for a meal i was unable to attend because of work commitments some nonsense about pre prepared meal!!
