The best restaurants in Penkhull and Stoke Stoke-on-Trent West Midlands

I really enjoyed calling in to Penkhull sandwich bar for breakfast. I was going to a meeting locally and had enough time to get some food there I opted for a small full English breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked and hot and tasty. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

Had a lovely experience here the food was delicious and everything was home cooked by apple. Apple the owner was the sweetest and most amazing host i’ve ever had at a restaurant before she made us feel so at home❤️ Would definitely reccomend to all !!!

Very good fish and cips.... Delicious. Their mashed peas..... I think they cut their own potatoes. Absolute gorgeous serving. Thank you. God bless

Was told this was under new management and I would love the food, by the guy who picked up the phone at Curry City.The previous owners of Curry City did not rate very high on my Indian food list, sorry to say these people are even worseSuch poor quality Indian food around Stoke-on-Trent, it seems to me they have totally inexperienced chefs in most of these places now.My food at Curry City - Both meals contained chicken, both tasted fridgy , both sauces were hard to eat, very unpleasant one had no real flavour just incredibly sweet, sugary coconut thick bland sauce, the other just over spiced and acridNot recommended

Sunday lunch with the family was great we added a little side of halloumi fries and they were the best ive ever had 👌

Absolutely appalled by this place the very plain average overcooked food was only made worse by the incredibly rude and abusive waitresses, witnessed one pecking her nose and eating it whilst serving food and taking orders and saw the other one being very rude and aggressive to a couple of people as they clearly couldn't handle their workload including screaming abuse and swearing at a young couple and their little girl causing the young one to cry. It was that bad we chose to leave and go somewhere else after my last visit was ruined again by the aggressive rude waitresses, made to feel unwelcome, poor to average food, bad service, abusive staff, needs a complete new staff and the food improving, shocked by what we saw won't be returning here at all

Massively disappointed!! We had a turkey roast dinner and a spinach tart roast dinner. First observation was that it's not a large plateful of food and only small to medium in size for a price of £14 !!!!! My vegetarian partner was shortchanged as her meal came with no roasties or yorkie pud. When challenged the waitress said the chef cooks them in beef dripping. No alternatives cooked in veggie oil were offered. This is blatantly shortchanging vegetarians and is unacceptable! My partner was still hungry when we got home! My turkey roast dinner was not great. The turkey "chunks" had gristle in them. How is this possible with turkey?? The overall meal portion was on the small side and the gravy didn't taste great and was gloopy. The overall taste of the meal I would describe as average. There was no homemade feel to the food in either meal - both just smacked of "industrial" catering. Thankfully we had a 30% off voucher which compensated to a degree for the shortchanging and lack of quality in our meals. The meals were not worth the full price of £14 Nobody else was eating a sunday lunch - maybe that tells you all you need to know! Sadly, the food at this pub is NOT recommended.

I had a wait over 2 hours for delivery, I ordered at 11:18am for breakfast as it said 15-20 mins delivery, it arrived after dinner time. Called after 40mins to be told it would be a couple of minutes. Half an hour later called again to get told the driver had just collected it and it would be with me soon. Both blatant lies. Tried to call again but they just kept putting the phone down. Order arrive I tried to refuse delivery as if already eaten at that point but driver just left it and went. Ordered went it the bin. Useless

Highly recommend Aladdins Always lovely food and today they went out the way for us when we made a mistake with our order and they provided another kebab for us and delivered it at no extra cost. Lovely customer service 😁 Food is 5⭐

Took a painful stroll to subway to get a decent hot chocolate- quite possibly the worst hot chocolate I’ve ever had the misfortune of drinking… fairly certain if he’s of told me he’d put hot dish water in the cup I’d of believed him…
