Had the new roast dinner on Fathers Day, the start of Sunday roasts at the Terrace! Most of it was Good, meat was tender, Yorkie pud tasted homemade and was nice and roasties and mash were Good. Veg needs attention as most was overcooked apart from the carrots. Some veg was luke warm (cauli cheese) while other veg was hot, which is probably caused by the microwave! Meat portion was on the small side. Gravy was okay Overall the meal was Good and you get a large plateful!

Really like the boozer. Bar has a pool table, darts and big screen TVs showing sport. New landlord is very welcoming and always a few good regulars in. Plus cheaper than everywhere else in penkhull 👍

Stopped here a couple of days ago. The Chicken burgers and Chips cooked perfectly. The best I've ever had. Not from Stoke but will definitely go back when in the area.

Good place for music as we saw on Saturday evening

Threw a surprise double birthday party here for my sons, the owner (Claire) couldn’t do enough for us. Claire sorted out our Buffett, live band and decorations. The buffet was all purchased fresh on the morning of the party and it was all lovely. Bar staff were brilliant throughout the whole evening, good selection of drinks/ales etc we will definitely be recommending and returning. This pub has live music on every Friday and Saturday night and we will definitely be visiting again to see the live artists.

I took two friends here for Friday Lunch following another friend saying hiw good the food was. We arrived at 12.30 for lunch and we were the only people in the lounge, and about 8 or so men in the bar. Friday is Fish Friday which was the special. We ordered 1 fish and chips and 2 medium rare rump steaks. What a huge disappointment. The fish was not fresh as you would expect rarher frozen . My friend who ordered the fish does eat regularly and knows the difference. The fish was tough and did not taste nice at all. My steak was tough and fatty. I even changed my steak knife thinking that was the problem, so i changed my knife , no difference. When i took a bite or should i say chew , the taste was there , but it was tough and i left most of it. The other steak was out of 5 at best 2. We did complain to the waitress who said she would tell the chef. We had , had to pay when we ordered our meals . So after waiting 20 minutes without any feedback we walked out of the pub. Its no wonder that so many pubs are closing their doors if this is the quality of food and service they serve up. On the up side the beer was ok.

Love this place and they have upgraded and how...check out the new menu (Pic enclosed). A MUST visit !!!

Good set of lads good ale and service is spot on

My partner and I called in for Sunday lunch as friends had highly recommended the food.we were not dissapointed. We had Gammon and roast beef which melted in the mouth. This was accompanied by a terrine of five fresh vegetables,a choice of potatoes and an aŕray of accompliments. Clean dining area friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Amazing value two lunches for £10.will be returning at every opportunity.

We have been here twice for Sunday lunch and both times excellent. Food served piping hot as it should be. Friendly staff and locals. Good parking and a good selection of ales. Definitely worth the money.

Discovered this place thnx to Google map which showed me the quickest way to get to Sainsbury's from my house albeit a rather steep one. It was a sunny Sunday so on the way back stopped for a pint and ordered the gammon Sunday roast. The sauce was excellent, the meat was succulent, the sage and onion filling was good. the side vegetables were also fine. What would I change - maybe beans instead of the broccoli and more roast potatoes instead of the extra boiled ones :) However, lunch + 2 pints of nice German lager = £13.70 > makes me a happy customer :)
