India Cottage in Stoke-on-Trent

Absolutely love this place we go often and we always have an amazing time. The vegetable balti from here is the tastiest Indian meal we have ever had. Lovely owners/staff nothing is too much trouble. We can't recommend this place highly enough.

Really good service. We were well looked after. My son didn’t like his butter chicken - he said it was too sweet. But my husband loved his prawn saag; I enjoyed my chicken tikka madras. However, I didn’t LOVE it. If someone booked it for a meal I’d go - but it’s not somewhere I would re-book.

Absolutely excellent We all had off the early bird menu which they do @£14.95. It was beautiful fantastic value. Can't wait to go again

Best curry in Boslem. Good service, very tasty food, good portion size & early bird menu before 19.30. Sun-Thurs. Conner fault it. We go most Sundays.

Tried the early bird special £14.95 to see if it was alright. Booked a table staff were very welcoming and friendly. Although the early bird special was limited the food was excellent. Will go again and may choose off the main menu. Well done.

Was very disappointing went new years eve 2023 first could not find booking finally found it hiphip hooray service could not fault very polite but food was small portions not as we are big eaters had chicken tika not taste lots just hot the garlic bread very tiny thin again couldn't taste garlic i had wine cost quite bit that wasn't very strong so all in all very disappointing

Best curry house around by miles never disappoints

We visited here on the 15th December on a works night out, there were 25 of us. Every single meal was beautiful, very flavoursome, all food hot, hot plates and nobody had to wait. For a party of that size that takes some doing. What an excellent evening well done India Cottage

Booked in here for a works do, have never actually been before so wasn’t sure what to expect although I’d heard good things. The food is spot on as is the service. My wife ordered of the early bird menu which is a fantastic deal and a good selection on offer, the onion bhaji were the nicest I’ve ever tasted, light an crispy with a nice soy type sauce. For the main I opted for the chilli masala as I like a hot curry and it was delicious as was the garlic keema naan 👌🏻., all washed down nicely with a nice crisp pint of cobra. Will most definitely return. All the guys worked really hard and delivered a great service considering there was nearly 30 of us plus other covers they had booked in, thank you for a great night to all at India cottage.

Food is always good. Portion sizes were good. We had chicken tikka balti, lamb dupiaza, rice, chicken chaat starters, naan bread and poppadoms with the chutneys. Staff are always good, and make the effort to go above and beyond.

Can Highly Recommend this Curry House,Very Good Value for Early Bird Menu on Certain Days.The Food is Tasty,Fresh, Affordable and the Restaurant is Clean..You get Treated in an Appropriate way with Customer Service as they do not Pounce Straight away but give you time too Choose your Meal and Drinks!!.I Ohh there Deserts are Very Nice too,has become our Regular now!!! 😊

Extremely slow service,, very small portions and an extremely overpriced drink with the poor excuse of providing a service was the reason! Certainly not worth a revisit!

The food from India Cottage is very good. We have eaten in and had take away from this resturant for over 15 years, it was taken over by the the new owners about a year ago but after a few lower standard meals at the beginning I have to say the food is now very good although the chicken chaat starter has shrunk considerably.

After going in November 2021 after going to this restaurant for 30 years, we were disappointed as it had just been taken over , we didn't enjoy the food and decided we had had the best and it had come to the end. BUT we have given it the benefit of the doubt tonight and WOW just WOW, what an amazing meal we have had, couldn't fault it in any way. Would highly recommend . We certainly will be coming back, we have got our curry house back. 100% staff and 100% food. Well done

8 of us went to celebrate a birthday last Sunday. We went at 5.30pm to take advantage of their early bird Menu. The food was some of the best I've tasted,the service was impeccable.. and 2 pints of beer and a 3 course meal for under £25. Will definitely be visiting again👍👏🍻

Food glorious food. We come here often and can't fault a thing. We tried something different and had a chicken achari and kadai lamb, and it's our new fave, great food, very hard working staff. Highly recommended 👌

The first time I have visited ordered a takeaway for myself and my son, a Christmas Eve treat , we took a chance with the starter a platter which to be fair wasn’t what I had expected not enough for us to share but was still tasty , the main meal made up for it, absolutely fantastic , would definitely order another take away again but have poppadoms next time..to start.

Awful Traditional Christmas Day fayre. 8 people in party. 2 had Indian food which they liked. Ordered ribeye beef which was, at best, silverside beef, and was tough and overcooked served with frozen potatoes and veg! Turkey also dry. Dire experience!! Total waste of money!

We decided to book this venue for our department from work. We are glad we did. The staff are so friendly and welcoming from the word go. Our food was top notch. All served together and without a hitch. It was definitely very tasty and competitively priced. I myself had beef madras and it was cooked perfectly. Every one in our group polished of everything. Thanks to all the staff for making our night an enjoyable and tasty experience.

Used to love the curry from here but it wasn't nice, none of us enjoyed it. Nan was tiny for £2.50 . Mint sauce seems different to. Plus no home made chips. Just not the same anymore

Can't believe i've only discovered this gem. Food was bursting with flavors very authentic, nice friendly sevice from the staff and much better value than waiting for a take away. I will be visiting more often.

First time visiting and won’t be the last. Fantastic meal and staff were very attentive. Seriously the lime pickle was the best I’ve had. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Visited India Cottage for first time since new owners took over. I want to note the superb venue it was under the previous long standing ownership. The restaurant has been updated but the food is just as delicious. We enjoyed vegetarian korma, ginger chicken, curried...

Disappointing I'm afraid I've been having tikka bhuna fir year's and never had one that spicy totally spoiled my meal

We had the best takeaway for a long time tonight. Delivery was quick, & staff lovely. The food piping hot and very very tasty, did not want the meal to end. The Peshwari nan was fantastic. Will definately be ordering from India Cottage again

Super tasty food, the most divine garlic naans, friendly attentive service.... all the things that have kept me coming back to the cottage year after year. Even the takeaway's are the same great quality piping hot food and service from ordering to delivery. It doesn't matter whether it's tableside service or home delivery, always with a smile 😊

Visited here on Tuesday evening …fabulous is the only thing to say. The staff were so accommodating, nothing too much trouble, food beautiful, very fresh, very hot, lovely presentation and complimentary brandy and Baileys at end of meal. Will definitely be back

Very poor. Food arrived 45 mins late, was cold, swimming in oil, tasteless and the naans were burnt. When called to complained was told to contact foodhub as we ordered through them. Didmt seemed arsed at all!

(Edit) UPDATE OCT 2021 Used to be fantastic curry, however has come under new ownership. Overall, not a bad curry, but not great and certainly not to the same standard as before. Poppadoms were slightly greasy, onion chutney was simply chopped onion, yoghurt sauce (which used to be fantastic) was green in colour and tasted awful. Starters were different to before but actually quite tasty. Chicken Chat on Puree was very tasty. The mains were disappointing. The Balti used to be very rich and flavoursome, but now seems bland and the texture was gritty. The Chicken Tikka was nice however the lamb was poor quality. The chips were not the chunky chips cooked in ghee that we used to enjoy, and are now like takeaway fries. On the whole, not a bad curry, but not the fantastic curry we've been used to in the past. For the first time in 20 years, we will be looking for a new curry house.

Probably one of the tastiest baltis I've ever had. The garlic and cheese naan was delicious and by far the best naan I've ever had. Staff are great as well. Highly recommend

I ordered Chicken madras for delivery on 6/10/21. It is the first time in many years that I have had "Proper" Chicken in an Indian curry and not the now universal practise of serving "Plastic" Chicken that has a liver like texture, that has sadly...

Lovely meal with good gluten free advice.Naan breads seemed smaller than usual and service was a wee bit slow but had a nice peaceful meal.

The driver needs to know where he is going before he sets off and not argue with me that I did not point out landmarks to guide him in. The food was cold by the time it got here and that is the worst attempt at a nan bread I have ever seen.

Starter wasn't that good but the main was excellent, not good that they didn't have enough desserts to go around, we only wanted three of one. You would have expected that at the weekend they would have enough to go around.
