Curry Spice in Stoke-on-Trent

I recently tried this Indian takeaway, and I was really impressed. The food was full of flavor and tasted just like something you'd get at a top-notch restaurant. The butter chicken was creamy and perfectly spiced, and the lamb rogan josh was tender and packed with flavor. Even the sides were great—the samosas were crispy, and the garlic naan was soft and delicious. Everything arrived hot and fresh, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again soon!

I recently ordered from this takeaway, and I was blown away by the quality of the food. I had an exceptional experience, with the staff being incredibly attentive and welcoming. The highlight of the visit, though, was undoubtedly the food. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavour. The ingredients were fresh, and each bite was a delightful blend of textures and tastes. It's rare to find a place where both the service and the cuisine are top-notch, but this was one of those rare gems. I can't recommend it enough!!!

Recommended by a friend, had to wait an hour for delivery but it was well worth the wait! The food was hotter than hot when it arrived and was unreal, get this restaurant more stars!!!

I gave it 3 stars because I think when I'm laying £9 just for a curry, I expect more than 5 pieces of chicken. Apart from that it's was quite nice flavour.

Being here twice now which i forgot to leave a review for . Both occasions that i have ordered a curry here were quite nice to be fair. The butter chicken was really nice , price not so bad ! The chips come witu generous portions , only thing i would say about chips are alittle bit too oily also the naan bread arrived cold but everythingels was hot? , nice when you 1st have a couple , but get really sickly. I would come back again !

I’ve used this place for a take away a few times. The food is always excellent and seems very authentic / traditional. Easy parking outside and the staff are friendly… with the chef cooking in the open plan kitchen. Sensibly priced especially the set meals. There is normally a discount for collection and special deals on a Sunday etc

Not ordered from here for a long time, used to be my go to place but I use a local restaurant now. They were closed so I tried here, I know the food used to be really good here but I’ll be honest it did dip in quality but it changed names since then. Ordered my food and it was at my door in 15 mins, fast even for a Monday night. My curry was absolutely brilliant. One of the best Chicken Tikka Naga curries I’ve had, and I’ve had loads. Chips were crispy, Naan wasn’t over cooked or soggy in the bag, onion bhajis were excellent and the food was red hot on arrival ! Helps that I’m local to it but still, we all want the food to be really hot when we get it. Hope this review helps someone when finding a place to get a takeaway . I’ll be using again.

My and my boyfriend ordered chicken tikka balti, chicken tikka masala, chips, pilau rice and a cheese and garlic naan and can probably say it is one of the most tasty experiences from any takeaway I have had in a long time, the flavours in absolutely everything were unreal and delivery was ridiculously quick very impressed as it was our first time trying here and can say we will be ordering again!

We must say to everyone who see s this review what I have put on here ,curry spice 12 upper normacot road longton stoke on Trent ,the food is absolutely fantastic ,fresh produce ,and the taste is unbelievable this in my opinion must be one of the best authentic Indian establishments for food within stoke on Trent ,this is the truth to whom ever on here ,try there food and then you will know what I am on about .🇬🇧👍 A well mannered staff ,and the delivery drive was fantastic ,manners and respect .

Recent edit. Down from 5 stars. Always our fave for a while now but last night was poor quality. Large order for 5. Very little meat in the currys. ( 5 pieces of chicken in the korma) Swimming in oil so much so that it was soaked into the bottom of the paper bags where it had run out. 3 naan bread all different but we couldn't decide which was which because they all tasted the same. 2 side dishes were bland and very oily. Don't think we will be back again for a while

I’ve tried every curry house in the city at some point and I am pretty hard to please. This place is up there with the very best. Fantastic naga dishes, beautiful, melt in the mouth lamb, great naans. I don’t want to use this platform to criticise other restaurants, but in my opinion nowhere in the longton area is better. Everything freshly made. And the staff are fantastic. A great set of lads, absolutely committed to creating the very best customer experience.

Really nice tasty curry, will use again

I visited the Curry Spice Takeout a few times to try out their food, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The food I tried was delicious and well-prepared, with standout dishes including the chips, garlic naan bread, lamb bhuna, chicken korma, king prawn balti, and onion bhaji. Each dish had its own unique flavor and was made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The staff at the Takeout were also fantastic. They were friendly, welcoming, and always made sure that my experience was top-notch. Whether I was ordering food for takeout the staff were always happy to answer any questions I had and make recommendations based on my preferences. Overall, I would highly recommend the Takeout to anyone looking for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine.

Recent edit. Not sure if they've changed staff or chef but last few orders not been the best. Going to give it a break for a while. Sauce used to be rich and thick which isn't the case no more. Naan breads not the same, barely and meat in the Keema. Shame. Good food, never had a delivery, collection is usually ready on time. Good prices, had one or two average meals but on the whole very good. Had one or two burnt naans as well. Save 15% I think if you collect.

Great food. High quality curry and sides with a very good price. You're not gonna get top line curry, but you can't beat it for the price. Definitely my go-to for a nice madras. Edit 31/08/22: Food value has gone drastically down. What cost me about £12 before now costs £13 and you get about half the amount of naan bread as before. No free poppadoms either now. Very disappointing and I am hoping it's a one off as it's now more expensive than my favourite Indian restaurant.

Thumbs Up for the Chef for tasty food. Dal was tasty and spicy just I requested. and Thumbs down to frond desk staff. Perhaps he needs to be re-trained. I requested for two Tandoori roti but received one as he didn't input two rotisserie on order then I requested plain rice and noted paleo rice. The menu also misleading as on the menu it says Palak Panner which ordered but there was no panner in it but topped with English cheese which not the same thing. There's big difference between panner and cheese. But overall tasty food although it was wrong order but happy with the taste. Thankyou

The food was okay, service well? Went for a collection got there it was chaos but not organised, I asked if any poppadoms which most takeaways put a couple in for free ,they say no you get 10percent discount instead bit petty as prices gone up more than 10 anyway. Food was cold when got home because of disorganized chaos at takeaway , also wife and daughter said Rogan Josh was very mild not medium hey ho wish you well but won't be back sorry and have come from day one when opening.

Well what a waste of money freezing cold and went in the bin

Always was my go to curry house. Not no more. Unsure what has changed but it certainly isn't for the better. The last 2 orders have been swimming in oil and required draining? But more so last night's order was oily and utterly tasteless, the rice was dry and the whole order went straight into the bin. This morning It has cost a small fortune on indigestion tablets and I feel minging. Don't think I can risk ordering again to get the tasty meal I used to.

Cancelled. Wait time was 60 mins. As soon as order was paid for it went to 75 mins. Then 90 mins later i called then and they needed another 20 minutes. 1st and last time using them.

Been looking for a good traditional curry for a long time now. First time been here but This place is just the best . Good portions , fast delivery, and well , perfect taste - I mean perfect. 3 dishes all perfection. Quality meat, lots of sauce and just the right amount of hot for what we ordered.

Recently moved up here from Braintree in Essex. Thought I'd try this place to see how they hold up against places down south. Well, I can confirm, this place has King in it's name and that's earned. This curry is brilliant. Really, REALLY, good. Recommended to all.

Won't be ordering from here again. Only ordered 2 meals at 1810hrs. It's now 2010hrs and been told on the phone they still need 25 more minutes. Never had to wait so long for a take away in my life. Not ordered from here before but won't come back here even if it's the best Indian food I ever have. By the time it arrived I wasn't hungry anymore and will have to try eat it tomorrow. Because of the 2 and a half hour wait I'd have expected some free poppadoms or some money back but not even an offer of those options. If you're in two minds about ordering from here, just don't.

Waited nearly 2 hours for food chips were cold and you could tell they had been reheated ordered chicken pakora and it came like an onion bhaji never had pakora that taste and look like onion bhaji before. They sent us more pakora because we thought it was onion bhaji they sent us to be sent the same thing again. Disgusting. Wont be ordering again .

Would of gave it one star if it let me waited about 2 and half hours for just a curry when I rang the said its just became ready and will be with me in 10 mins it came 30 mins after and whe it finally came it was freezing and tasteless never going there again.

Waited nearly 2 hours for an order. They don't communicate to say why. They think its acceptable to just turn up when they like. Food generally good but customer service and treating regulars well is poor. Wont be ordering again. I'll also be claiming my money back from my bank. Driver was sent away with order as it was 2 hours late. As no doubt it will be stone cold. They need to be accountable for poor service .......

THIEVES - the female delivery driver stole £20 from my partner, the food was dropped off an hour early to which my partner gave the driver £20 and the driver said it was £22 because of service charge, my partner went to get more money and realised that it was an hour early, because the lady was also so rude to her she said to take the food back as I ( her partner ) was not going to be home for another hour. The driver left with the food and the money. My partner called the restaurant to complain and was told they would 're deliver at 21.30, she told them that the driver had taken her £20 (which Was gave to her by her grandad that afternoon to get herself a treat) to which the restaurant denied and the driver got on the phone accusing her of calling her a thief....which the driver most obviously is. Not only did we have £20 stolen from us, this ruined my partners evening as she was treating us to a takeaway as a surprise. This driver should be sacked and the curry house really should be removed from just eat due to their dishonesty....We shall be taking this further, not because of the money but more for the principle

Waited just under 2 hours to receive stone cold food and tasteless. Rang the restaurant which is exactly 4 mins away to be told its on its way, 20 mins later no food. Will not be going again waste of money.

Food not the best curry was like water no flavour to it.. chips hard... will not be back

Tried it but won’t be back sorry. Chips were rock hard they must of been reheated so they went in the bin. The curry was tasteless gutted as I was looking forward to a decent curry.

Terrible service we order from here regular with a big order tonight we waited an hour and half for our order firstly they told us it was on its way we waited another 25 minutes it still hadn't showed up we rang them to see where it was to be told they hadn't got it total waist of time I will not be ordering from here again customer service was shocking I advice people not to order from here as it may never turn up
