ABSOLUTELY DISCGUSTED BY THE ATTITUDE OF THE FEMALE (ONLY FEMALE THAT WORKS THERE) TONIGHT. WE ARE REGULARS HERE SPENDING OVER A £100 PER MONTH. SHE YET AGAIN BAGGED THE ORDER WRONG. EVERY SINGLE ORDER JUST LATELY WE HAVE SOMETHING WRONG OR MISSING. IT HAS GONE BEYOND A JOKE NOW. SHE BLAMES DRIVER. THEY BLAME HER. SENT ENTIRE ORDER BACK TONIGHT AS BY TIME SHE SENT THE DRIVER BACK OUT WITH THE MISSING ITEMS THE OTHER PARTS WERE COLD. SHE SAYS SHE CANT ISSUE A REFUND UNTIL HER BOSS IS IN ON WEDNESDAY. BUT SHE WILL HAPPILY HAVE THE WRONG ORDER "TAKEN OUT OF HER WAGES" ....?? BAD ATTITUDE AND IF HER BOSS "IS" GOING TO TAKE IT OUT OF HER WAGES THEN ERM SURELY SHE IS ADMITTING SHE IS THE ONE PACKING THE ORDER'S (AS SHE HAS PREVIOUSLY STATED SHE DOES WHEN THEY MESS OUR ORDER UP 🙄) THEN SURELY SHE SHOULD GET IT RIGHT !!! AFTER YEARS OF GOING BACK TO THEIR POOR SERVICE THIS IS THE FINAL TIME. AVOID AT ALL COSTS PEEPS.

Enjoyed a delightful fish and chips meal—crispy fish, fluffy chips, and generous portions. Delivery was prompt, ensuring everything arrived hot and fresh. A satisfying and delicious choice!

Disappointed 7:30pm order took over an hour to deliver and then the kids fish cake was missing. Rang n was told could deliver it to us , It was so late for a 3 year old child to have await for it to be redelivered. We dont have chippys very often. Wasnt that, nice curry had a strange taste.Will use our more local chippy next time.

I ordered fish and chips and a v box meal the fish batter was not cooked through very soggy which then in turn made chips soggy and the v box meal the chips were very small bits and the donner meat was like rubber looked like it had been reheated . plus the price has gone up for pork quality . normally very good I don't know wheater to order again from their or not .I don't know if changed ownership ..

I visited here for donor meat and chips, shop was very clean, staff were great, lovely food and big portions.

Ive used hill st for about 10 years but today was the last time after waiting nearly 2 hours for food and for it to arrive luke warm/inedible

WORST CHIP SHOP I HAVE EVER TASTED. Also the lady on the phone was extremely rude, aggressive and unhelpful. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ABSOLUTE DIVE

too many chip bits, than chip and wrapped in paper. onion ring in batter, thin batter and oily onions

Unfortunately my regular fish and chips was cold, after waiting an hour and 15 minutes for its arrival it was a shame to receive cold food. Cheesecake and cans of pop fine though x

There was metal tinsel type stuff all in the breadcrumb fish. Maybe from what u clean with I don’t know

gorgeous as usual just one litte problem I ordered large peas to go with my chips and pudding but ended up you large curry just a little disappointed as I was looking forward to peas !!!!!!

Massive portions but wasn’t the best. Delivery was slow - around 1hr 20mins and bang average food.

chips were only lukewarm . gravy though was best I have tasted.

Worst scampi ever tasted batter was soggy as was batter to potato fritter meal lukewarm sharnt be using this chippy again had similar meal from penkhull chippy far superior batter crisp meal piping hot Hills gave me impression their meal had been lying on heat rack for ages staff should learn to drain scamp iof fat before serving to customer

food was delivered on time, large fish was very large and delicious, chips pudding and gravy was piping hot and delicious. This is our regular takeaway and we have a delivery every week and always satisfied.

Used to use this place years ago , and gave it another try not long ago. Was very dry and not enjoyable at all. Threw most of it away.

did not enjoy the food twice in a row I ordered throughout the day and it's clear they use the chips from the night before as they were stale and nasty not fresh like they ALWAYS ARE AT NIGHT

Pop'd in for dinner after taking our girls to Water World. Had Fish & Chips with curry sauce, tasted amazing. Seaside quality 👌 10/10. Lovely friendly service too. Keep it up guys

ordered pies n both pies were burnt n hard n had to b thrown away

Wow, absolutely fantastic. Out of this world. Great sized portion of large fish and chips, with curry and also we had large fish and chips with peas. Pure joy. Nice early delivery too. Thank you very much. Can’t believe the size of the huge cod we had each. Huge !! Very tasty. The batter still had a nice crunch with it. The food was piping hot. Can’t fault any of it. 100% THUMBS UP !!!!

Just had a large fish for the second time I got say has to be the best in stoke fresh and succulent really good and not over priced definitely recommend this place for the fish

Decided to try out a new chip shop as a pose to my regular, absolutely amazing food. Really worth the money, I pretty much had a one person feast that could have fed me and maybe two others. The food was spot on.

Food took over an hour to arrive. Chips were dry and cold. Forgot part of the order and when we called up, the man laughed down the phone at us and said they weren’t coming back to deliver the rest. Shocking customer service, rude staff.

Forgot half the order but couldn't be bothered to deliver the rest. To top it off we found maggots in the fish. Stay away from this place. Bad food and even worse service.

Chips not cooked properly. I usually avoid this chip shop as the food was awful last time I ordered a while ago but thought it may have changed....I was wrong. The chips are still not cooked properly very hard. Soggy burger bun. The donnermeat was nice though this time.

Food delivered early but with missing item.

Food was edible but not that hot. Fish was over cooked and dry. Cold drink had been put in same bag as hot food. This made the drink warm and probably helped cool the food. Not the best experience.

the food was cold the minute we got it the chips were soggy and a couple of the chips were frozen in the middle i don’t know what happened because Monday it was amazing so we rushed to order again.
