Worst Pub ever. 3 people on a Saturday night and the barmaid insisted on playing her own playlist off her iPhone on max volume from behind the bar. Driven out by mindlessness. Do I want to listen to techno music in a drinking pub. Absolutely not. Get a juke box. Worse was the music over the Rugby World Cup commentary which is why I went in in the first place. I’m basically being polite. 😣😣😣.

Always great, good beer and a great atmosphere, your always welcome, even more if you like rock music or country!

I have a fantastic night last night in the corner pin great friendly welcome from when I got in to the time I left, great beer and the staff are very welcoming as well, will be back in again for an other great night.

Three stars for now having come down from 4.5 wouldn't supprise me if this slowly turns into a two star. Landlord is great, but without sounding like an old man it's now just full of kids acting up with music on that loud everyone is just shouting at each other so they can hear them. I think quantity rather than quality is slowly setting In here, on two different occasions weeks apart now when ordering a Stella the amount of rubbish in the pint can only be described as it looking like a snow globe. The pint was change with no hassle only to be the same again so decides to have a Guinness instead and again full of bits. I live miles away and this has been my go to pub 5 days from 7 over the last 10 years, I'm reluctant to move with the other regulars but if the beers don't improve I'll have no other option. Quantity of customers has increased whereas quality has decreased.

Music far too load for a quiet drink

Called in for 1st time in years. This is my new 2nd Home. Great staff fantastic beers and good prices. Visit for there choice of Cask Ales. BRILLIANT NIGHT.

Traditional style pub with a Homey atmosphere. Friendly bar staff and very fun. Live music on a friday is awesome 🤩. They don’t serve food but they do a fantastic rage of bar snacks and sandwiches 👌🏼

After knowing the current landlord for numerous years in this well kept establishment, sadly he is retiring. As for what I've seen and heard tonight in the place the new tenant who is taking over the pub is turning it in to the place to be, in this I mean it's not up and coming with the future trend. I've had the (pleasure) of young people off their heads on drugs telling me as a regular that this is how it's going be from now on. Well for me as one and my family will not be using this place again.

The prices are rediculous you need to remortgage to go in there
