We had breakfast here the day after our daughters wedding. The food was excellent, service excellent. The most amazing wedding venue ever

Enjoyed the excellent food and surrounds of this lovely family run restaurant. The menu is fantastic with a large and well prepared food. A must for any celebrations. I have enjoy a few family gatherings here and every time the meals have been great. Service is good, fast and polite

Expected the food to be really good after hearing couple people say how good it was. The starter was really nice, mains average to just above. Certainly had better. I had beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas, couldn't taste no beer in the battered fish was cooked nice, chips and peas tasted like chip shop. Mrs had burger and she complained it was dry. Nice place though and pleasant staff. Won't be going back because how far it was.

A return to the Ye Olde Rock Inn after many years of not going, I ordered the steak on the menu which was cooked well but wasn’t to my taste. Probably a fault of my own as I had no sauce with it, my pint of Madri tasted off though so was disappointed with this. Service was good and staff were attentive, atmosphere was let down by loud children but this can’t be helped. Would come here again!

My wife and I have been here many times before but for some reason I never tried the steak sandwich (on lightly toasted bloomer bread) until today and it was simply magnificent!!! The chips and gravy were pretty great as well. My wife had the pork and stuffing sandwich which she said was pretty good as well.

Went there on a Sunday lunchtime, was expecting it to be busy but wasn't. Notice on desk suggesting they prefer cash payment so having ordered offered cash. Young girl seemed confused when i offered notes and a 20p so that she could give me pound coins for change rather than 80p. Service was disappointingly slow. Coffee and cake served promptly but a long wait for a bowl of soup and a roll. Staff didn't seem committed to the job. Have had good service and food there in the past but this was poor service and just OK food. Will avoid in future as there are better tea rooms.

Went to buy cakes to take away, ordered, paid and then was made to stand there whilst the lady took more orders before me for people who were eating in. The cakes were on the side ready to go and all she had to do was put them in a bag! I had to say something as this was bonkers. Won't be returning.

Fantastic location but a shame about the food. We were 5 hungry cyclists. We were told they were running down stocks of food because there was a function the next day. There was one vegetable pastie, one vegan roll and both disgusting as microwaved. I had the last scone which was stale. This left others with a piece of cake and a bag of crisps. Such a shame as I for one will not be eating there again!

On a tour in our van and called in here after visiting another local venue ( newly refurbed) where we didn’t feel very comfortable. As soon as we walked in we felt at home. Proper lovely local pub where the local farmers were having a Sunday afternoon meal and drinks with plenty of room for our van and their tractors. Like someone else has said not fine dining but plenty of good hot food with excellent staff who went above and beyond for us. Beer was great according to hubby. Will definitely come back !!!! Thank you
