What a fabulous pub! Such a warm welcome from the landlady and locals alike. Friendly atmosphere and drinks so much cheaper than those in Kent! Too short a stay Will definitely be back

Visited a couple of weeks ago. When we arrived we were advised that the heating was broken. The whole place was freezing and remained so. There were dead spiders above one of the fireplaces. This was mentioned but no one did anything to remove them, they just sat customers at the same table that we asked to be moved from because of this issue. In all fairness the food was ok but no way worth the money they charge. Did visit when this first opened and had an awful experience, this time was no great improvement. Will not be trying a third time and would not recommend. I do have to mention that Georgia was very very polite and helpful.

I have just been to the local chip shop and sadly I have to say the chips were awful. They had been reheated from lunch time.

Had a lovely evening listening to the Salty Badgers! Great wine, great beer, lovely staff. Couldn’t ask for any more We both run a pub in Kent and we couldn’t believe the atmosphere and the prices! They were even accommodating for us southern folk! Can’t recommend this place enough, thank you!

Just called in whilst out driving round the area for lunch. Views are fantastic all around even on a murky day! Narrow lanes with plenty of potholes leading to it but cosy and warm once inside with a log burner roaring. My husband is disabled and we didnt encounter any problems. Staff friendly and helpful. Had a pensioners dinner which was reasonably priced and a good size portion.

Had the best gammon steak I’ve ever eaten and ay my age with the amount of travelling I’ve done that’s saying something, fantastic family atmosphere and John is a great host, thoroughly recommended

Not been for a couple of years, nice atmosphere, staff were very attentive, food was really good and priced very well compared to other restaurants in the area.

Lovely location, small choice of drinks. Landlord is obnoxious when he's had a drink

Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and served roasting hot. The best part was the steak and ale pie which was a huge portion including homemade chips - delicious! Ambience is chilled and cosy, which was perfect as we were on a quiet couples weekend.
