The best restaurants in Meriden Solihull West Midlands

Booked mid week for Sunday lunch at 1.00pm.hitel restaurant rang an hour before booking to say 'not doing Sunday lunch today,due to kitchen issues'!very disappointing.Also noticed menu has been reduced significantly since we last went,although price has increased.In desperation,we managed to book at very short notice for lunch at another hotel,which was superb.The Ansty Hall charges £10 per person for any cancellation.Perhaps they would like to pay us £10 compensation per person for cancelling.Really not worth dealing with them!

I visited this cafe amongst a group of cyclists and ordered a large coffee with hot milk. Having done so I was staggered to hear the price of £4.10 ! I questioned this with the lady serving who stated it was because it was a large coffee. This price is more expensive than a branded specialist coffee shop and inferior. I reluctantly paid but felt aggrieved and cannot see any justification for this price. Steven Stansfield

Nice and quiet on a night, decent shower and good food

Vinimos un sábado por la noche sin hacer una reserva. El pub estaba ocupado, pero nos las arreglamos para conseguir una mesa. El menú es la tarifa estándar del pub y cuando llegó la comida estaba caliente y recién cocinado. El personal era muy amable y servicial. Sin duda volvería a visitar si estamos en la zona.

Had a kebab and chips and wasn't impressed with the chips at all - there are much tastier chip shops around.

We had a very enjoyable meal today. The food was great and lovely customer service by Luke. He even brought our dog some treats over. We look forward to returning again.

We really enjoyed our meal. There was a good menu to choose from and service was excellent. It was great value for money and we will definitely go back!

can't write anything good at all. miserable owner and wife didn't smile once. very small portion of greasy scrag ends with black and green bits. greasy thin fish cake just about edible. everything tasted of old cooking oil. just vile. never again.

Such poor service lady at the bar was very very rude couldn’t have been any more unhelpful didn’t even stay for the drink had to walk out.

Lovely period pub. 600 years old with log fires and a wood fired pizza oven. Great place to bring the family or your partner for date night.

Absolutely fine if you like the bare bones of deep fried delights - we were staying here for a few days and I honestly struggled to find something to eat. Apart from a few tapas dishes, it Burger, burger, burger, burger, steak sandwich, fish & chips or 1 solitary pasta dish. No specials, no other option than what was offer ! Service was absolutely diabolical, on one occasion, our table of had 1 dish served 10 minutes before the other 6 and the remaining 8th dish 20 minutes after that !!

Ordered a pizza Saturday evening and have gotten severe food poisoning from it. Have narrowed down as I am the only one in the family that ate it the others ordered Chinese (wishing I did too). This has happened in this one before and stupidly I ordered it again. Never happened from the fletchamstead dominos though. Thinking maybe someone doesn't wash their hands properly in this one. Never again. Not bothering to call as they have the worst service ever.
