I visited this cafe amongst a group of cyclists and ordered a large coffee with hot milk. Having done so I was staggered to hear the price of £4.10 ! I questioned this with the lady serving who stated it was because it was a large coffee. This price is more expensive than a branded specialist coffee shop and inferior. I reluctantly paid but felt aggrieved and cannot see any justification for this price. Steven Stansfield

It was certainly worth the walk. Having not been before and simply going off a general search for a cafe somewhere near our walk. What a lovely location, nicely hidden off the main road, was a great sight to see at the end of the track. With the lakes close at hand. Can’t say anything about any other food offered, but the breakfast was really good, not greasy and hot and just the right size as a reward for our walk and to set us up for the walk home. The staff were so nice and friendly. We will certainly be back, as it was a cold day in early March and sure it will be even nicer to sit outside with a bit of sunshine.

Call in for a drink or brunch after or before a walk. Bacon rolls delicious. Drinks hot. Plenty of seats.

We waited 30 mins for our cooked breakfast, for only a single round of toast to turn up. We were prepared to wait a little longer, if someone named Tom, could guarantee it was on the way. Instead, he turned this situation round to accuse us of 'not being very nice' to a server and was quite confrontational. At this point, we decide to ask for our money and leave. Although the breakfasts are mediocre, we've always enjoyed the seclusion of this place, whilst supporting their small catering business....not, no more though.

First visit to this lovely cafe - definitely not the last! Delicious tea cakes and great coffee. A welcome break after a long dog walk from Coventry. Very friendly staff and covid compliant.

Piss poor service, kicked off at 11pm in the dark, all started because a friend visited and got locked in without realising gates closed at 8:30, owner come and unlocked the gate F’ing and blinding like a big man he isn’t🤣 avoid this place at all costs, p.s you’ll be waiting 3 days for a 19lb fish on station 😆

Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. I had large breakfast that came with 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 eggs, plum tomato, beans and two slices of toast. I added 2 hash brown which was an additional 60p each I think. Complete with cup of tea think it was either £9.20 or £9.40, bit expensive compared to other places of in Coventry. Very tasty though and would eat there again. The road into the Café watch out for the pot holes. Take your time driving down the old dirt track and it gets narrow in some places on a bend. Place started filling up after we got there at 09:20. Take a walk round the fishing lakes too. Well kept. Tackle shop inside entrance to café

Visit here with my hubby on regular early mornings.....breakfasts are beautifully cooked with good quality food.Hubby really enjoys them.Poached eggs are just perfectly done(not snotty and not hard....just right).Fish finger batch and salad is yummy and the cheese on toast.Hot chocs are yummy too.Moved to Balsall Common in November 2017 and have been using the cafe regularly for about six months now.It is not only for anglers fishing there anyone can use the cafe anglers or not.The staff are all extremely pleasant and friendly. The grounds are in beautiful setting and the hanging baskets and flowers are beautiful.....a lovely place to relax over breakfast. We would recommend this cafe.

Brusque welcome, clearly we were slightly bothersome. Shown to our table. Order taken quickly with olives as nibbles to 2 mains. Olives placed on table with no sticks and no place for stones. Mains
