It's a good place to rest. There are showers with many stalls open 24 hours. The bathrooms are a bit dirty, but I also see that some drivers are disgusting and leave everything dirty. There are plenty of parking spaces for trucks and the tarps are separate from the refrigerators. On Sunday they offered me a beer and a coupon for a meal! Unfortunately the café didn't open on Sunday, only on Monday. Very good food and the people at the café are very friendly! Is there anything that could be improved? Yes. But I enjoyed the experience. 4/5!

I've been coming to this parking lot for years. Tasty food, showers and toilets OK. They're crowded in the square, but I haven't had a problem leaving yet. I sincerely recommend it

(Addition March 2025: I stayed from Saturday until Monday. On Sunday the security guard gave me beer and a voucher for food. On Monday I wanted to get a second voucher and take two breakfasts, but the kitchen said that I was only entitled to one. The result was two nights with one meal. Strange.) I had to stand there from Friday evening until Monday morning. If my colleagues hadn’t suggested asking for two food vouchers when registering, no one was going to give them to me. Only after I reminded them about the coupons were they given to me. During the entire stay, I never saw any free beer. The toilets and showers located in the cafe building have a more or less civilized appearance. But over the weekend the cafe was closed, which no one warned about. So I had to eat only on Monday. Over the weekend, a toilet was opened in a neighboring building with two stalls whose doors did not close. You have to hold them to relieve yourself. There is also a shower room here. So all the delights and aromas of the toilet are combined with the shower. Not comfortable. I don’t share the positive reviews about the delicious food. The food is not tasty for me personally. I didn't get any pleasure from the food. The parking lot itself is sandy. There are certain inconveniences when it rains. Dimly lit at night. The cafe has a TV on which you can watch video footage of the parking lot. There is Wi-Fi in the cafe itself and next to it, but in the parking lot it is not available So if I have a choice with another parking lot, I’m unlikely to come here.

There was a 45 hour pause on Saturday night. On Monday at lunchtime the parking lot became empty and I was standing alone on the side and a boy came up to me and said if I want to leave at the time I need, I should move forward. They don’t care if I ruin my vacation. Or they will block me with trucks and I won’t leave. This place has the most disgusting attitude towards you. Instead of food, you are given a can of beer since the cafe is not open on weekends. Avoid this parking lot whenever possible. I heard from colleagues that people climb on trailers in this parking lot. The showers on Sunday and Monday were freezing cold both during the day and in the evening. 4 toilets per 500 drivers. They don't respect you here. The voucher amount is unknown. Someone is told 4 pounds, someone is told 6 pounds. Deception after deception. The food is terrible with a £10 surcharge

Loads of space for truck parking, if you pay on snap you can pay an extra £4 for any meal on the menu I had fish chips and peas which was perfectly cooked and unlike some places it wasn’t dry, they also have tartare sauce which not many places do. Overall Brilliant food friendly and helpful staff will definitely revisit!!

On the way in to the toilets was a gathering of rats asking me to sign a petition to get the drivers out I signed. By the way this is at no fault of the owners just absolutely disgusting drivers wonder how they live at home toilets like the trainspotting scene shit on walls floor

Security wakes you up in the middle of the night and asks what time you will be leaving the square?

I don't recommend it. I'm standing here for the first and last time. You arrive around noon, the most important person is not on the square, you pause, and suddenly a person comes and tells you to move because this is not the place for you. They arrange them one by one according to supposed departure times, but if there is a danger of a set fire, for example, you're screwed and everyone around you is on fire. The food is average, the restaurant and sanitary facilities are just like in Poland under communism. The ground is hardened in some places but terribly full of holes. SNAP payment or payment card.

Traditional meals at a sensible price. You're told where to park your truck, according to when you intend to leave. So although it might be awkward to park, you're able to leave with no problems.

The staff are very cool and the food is nice, but everything is quite old and in need of urgent renovation, especially the toilets, they are the worst! Quite a large SNAP car park, parking by the hour, depending on who comes out and when.

Stop here when in the vicinity. Plenty of parking and the people in the car park tell you where to park depending on what time you are leaving. You can be boxed in and wonder how you're going to get out in the morning but everyone front of you has gone so you simply drive out. Their system works great. Toilets and showers functional and tidy. Food is great with a huge variety. Recommend the gammon with your choice of dessert.

Great truck stop and great food and staff... but there are lorry driver that think it's ok to leave items in the shower cubicle like empty shower gel bottles, razor ends, cotton buds, its not another drivers job to clean up after other users...lazy... a few more hooks on the shower doors for clothes would be appreciated.

I don't recommend after 22 hours of the break they come to move you, and if you don't move they block you until the next day at 7 o'clock. I hope that in the future I won't have to park here!

First time here, and I won't hesitate to stop here if I'm in the area again. Had the cottage pie and it was delicious.. leeks in the veg mix was a nice touch, thumbs up! . Kitchen and the stop was nice and clean, staff were friendly and welcoming. The only reason I gave 4 stars not 5 was because of the showers. The floor was a puddle, they were a little grotty but clean.. and there wasn't enough hanging space to keep my bag, towels and clothes, and inevitably they got soaked.. they have to sit on my cab now for the rest of the week which is gonna make them stink of damp. If you're open to suggestions, get the wooden grids for drivers to stand on as they get dressed, it'll seperate the water on the floor from feet.. essential for getting dressed for me as I am disabled. Otherwise, a pretty well run truckstop, great location and nice and quiet. Thank you for your hospitality! See you again. 👌🏻

stopped over here about a year ago but last night I was down this area for work in my lorry.... I noticed it so today I stopped by for what I had last time sausage chips and gravy the portion was mega actually enough for 2 people definitely recommend stopping over in the lorry or just to visit the cafe cheap and very tasty HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AAA++++

Chep deals with plastics (pallets, boxes, etc.). Before the barrier, register on a computer or application. Only two stations for loading or unloading, if you get 2, you unfasten the right side, if you get 3, you unfasten the left. Then printing documents at the kiosk opposite the entrance on the left and leaving through the second gate... they work around the clock, but loading and unloading starts at 6... my loading took about two and a half hours, including waiting at the barrier. A bit tight, but not a tragedy.

Definitely coming back here again, the parking lot is big and paved, so you dont have to worry about getting your shoes dirty, birmingham is about 45mins away (30min walk + ~15mins by train, and it costs like 3-5£ to get there), toilets and showers are clean, and the food is cheap. Also you dont need to worry about not getting a food voucher if you are away, since i found mine at the steps of my lorry.

You will get blocked in if you park here. Or be blocking someone else in who parks behind you, and receive a bang on your door an hour before you want to be up. Happens about once every 5 stays here for me ... Toilet seats have been removed now for some reason, and the toxic fumes from the incinerator which runs all night make it all the way across the trailer park meaning I had to turn off my night heater and freeze, rather than breathe that burned plastic smoke.

Friendly staff including the Banksman in the yard. Food OK. Showers OK. Sinks OK . Parking safe. This is a very old school transport cafe really so don't expect all mod cons. I have stayed in a lot worse places.

This car park is one of my favorites in England. Payment SNAP, VISA, MASTERCARD, CASH. There is a restaurant next to the parking lot, but they open at odd hours. If it is open, I recommend visiting it, good food at relatively low prices.

Absolutely love this place....and the reason....is because it's old fashioned it's like going back in time ...the food is proper cafe food with a price to go with it very very reasonable ...but the icing on the cake is ...and this means more to me than a Michelin star restaurant.....REAL HOME COOKED CHIPS!!!!...now all u ponces and foodies who say what's the difference between frozen chips then get a life!

As other drivers have stated the facilities are dated and could do with being updated. Loads of parking but does get busy. Paid via snap and you get a meal voucher. I used this on breakfast...which was ok. Make sure you tell them what time you are leaving in the morning so you don't get blocked in. Overall a very quiet night and got a good night's sleep. This place reminds me of strathcathro services on the A90

Large parking lot. Crowded. Park in several renderings, so if you have to leave immediately after the bus stop, tell the guard to park with colleagues with the same break and not get stuck. £24 parking space from which you eat once. Shower, vice.

After day with bad weather and traffic, i ran out of time and was 3hrs away from home. Stopped here with no money or food and even missed my flight for my holiday. The chap inside looked after me to make sure I was fed and when went beyond all expectations. I will definitely recommend this truck stop to anyone.

I parked my truck on 27-28/08/24. I paid £24 by card. Quiet, safe. The area is covered with concrete. I received a meal voucher. The food is tasty. In my case, breakfast (open from 4.00) is very rich. The voucher includes everything that is on the board - the menu. Of course, toilets, showers... Apparently WIFI. I have my own internet. I had a great rest. I recommend.

After parking here for the night I went for breakfast the following morning to be greeted by a older woman who had the most obnoxious rude disrespectful attitude, which has what made be come here to give this bad review, the place itself could do with a major update the bathroom area is dingy and looks unclean with mold and grime in the shower area.

It's safe and secure to park up for the night which is what's most important. However the place seriously needs some work to it. The food isn't the best chips a soaking wet from the oil

It's a nice, quiet place, the parking price is low for England, 20 F snap and I think the DKV passes too.
