As often found before, understaffed when visited late afternoon on a weekday, though friendly when at last served. Large sausage rolls good, better than expected even having been behind counter probably most of day? Drink in tea served in thick coffee-size cups, so goes cold too fast with small volume and large amount of ceramic, very irritating. No cash a problem, hesitant to return. Door not self closing; sitting at table at window beside it required us to get up and partially close it often to avoid cold draught. Tables need clearing and cleaning more often. Choice of food wide enough.

The food here is awesome better then any cafe and restaurant you find in the city. Such a friendly atmosphere it's lovely, wish all eateries were like this.

Do not visit this pub. They have a car park contiguous with the pub apparently owned separately. You have to fill in your car reg in the pub. Notices in the car park and pub are not obvious. Neither my friend not I saw any. Now I have a ÂŁ100 fine. The landlord couldn't be bothered to say "Have you come by car? You need to fill in your reg". 2 seconds to do that. No-one else in the pub at the time so no excuse he was too busy.

Popped in during a tour of Salisbury pubs. I was not disappointed. 7 ales on offer and the two I tried were well kept, the other five were selling well too. A friendly pub and good landlord. The pub cat is a lovely addition to the staff.

We recently visited the Salisbury Orangery for breakfast and had an excellent experience. The setting was beautifully designed, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made for a great start to the day. I opted for the standard Orangery breakfast, while my partner chose the vegetarian option. Both portions were generous, and the quality of the food was divine—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. To drink, my partner enjoyed a classic mimosa, while I tried a turmeric and ginger latte, which was a brilliant choice and something I hadn’t had before. It had a great balance of spice and warmth, making it a unique highlight of the meal. The service was okay—perhaps not the friendliest, but given how busy it was, this was understandable. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic, and we’d definitely return. If you're looking for a delicious, well-prepared breakfast in a stylish setting, Salisbury Orangery is well worth a visit!

It is the HOTTEST day of the year so far and I'm told the ice machine hasn't worked for weeks! Seriously? So a successful company has made a very hot customer Very unhappy. Fed my fuel of chains taking from Independents. They'd have fixed their machine. Costa doesn't need to care. Too many of them mean if a few aren't working, their pockets are still lined by the others 🙄

Pretty shocking service at the bar. We ordered a tequila at 2.30pm in memory of someone special and the bar lady made super judgemental comments about "going for it" at "lunch time".... And it was in a joking way. Very disappointed. Definitely not a great vibe.
