I liked it here. Its a good old-fashioned English pub. Although you may have a game on the TV, you can still have a normal chat and laugh over a pint or more. It's a friendly atmosphere and not that far if you won't to go into town, to shout over a pint.

They were not serving food when I went, but the atmosphere was really good. We had a good welcome by the landlord. I asked him which ale he recommended and he told me. It is a real ale pub which I really like. Brilliant and well done to the gaffer.

Anyone who rates this traditional local less than 5 does not appreciate real ale or good company! Up to 7 draught real ales on sale which is likely to include Bass, Danish Dynamite, Sixpenny Gold and GFB. All expertly kept and served...... There's always something happening - quiz night on Sunday, darts on Tuesday, cribbage on Wednesday, plus music and bbqs on summer weekends.

Lovely backstreet, non-pretentious CAMRA award winning boozer. Friendly locals from all walks of life and all ages, very hospitable friendly staff. Always a good selection of real ales and a decent selection of wines and Prosecco. Plenty gins, whiskies and other spirits. Dogs are made very welcome - indoors and in the beer garden. Water bowls and usually dog treats available. If your dog doesn’t like cats, be aware the pub has its resident cat, Pansy, who will walk about and choose chairs to sit on. Lovely wood burner to keep the place warm and comfortable on top of the central heating. Not currently offering meals but the usual bar snacks and filled rolls can be bought. At the time of writing, the intention is to increase to offer savoury pastries. Opening hours now extended to begin from 12 each day. Nice beer garden with a pergola or decent brollies for shade when sunny, plenty tables and seating. Great, friendly, local pub for groups, couples or lone customers - all made equally welcome. There will always be someone happy to natter with you.

The inn is situated in a quieter part of Salisbury, unassuming and with a worn comfortable feel. An extensive beer garden and friendly staff. The place is always active with people enjoying their beer, proper beer, yes they have the normal lagers and ciders. But it’s the real beer they excel at! The place has be come my local pub even though it’s 4 miles away, the number and selection of real ales is fantastic! Last night Tuesday there were 5 real ales being served. And due to the number of punter frequenting the beer turn over is amazing. So let’s be clear, the place isn’t a food pub, it’s isn’t a fancy made to look old pub. It’s just a pub to enjoy real beer at the best prices too £4.20 per pint! What could be better!

Lively and reinvented boozer in Salisbury. Great to see so many people and such great local beer and cider at this, once tired, drinking hole. The guys on the bar clearly know their way around the cellar and there is a great friendly, local vibe here. Looking forward to a new kitchen, upgraded rooms and continued great service for local people.

The home of Fisherton History Society, this pub is a great place for conversation! If it's real ale you're after, then you won't go far wrong as there's always a good selection. What a pleasure to visit a traditional pub that doesn't have to pretend to be something its not!

Having been past this place many times over the years, the exterior appearance has never tempted me to visit. However, I somewhat reluctantly crossed the threshold at last to find that my first impressions had been right all along. A grotty, untidy and unwelcoming pub of the sort that I thought had all but died out. I got the impression that the landlord thinks his failure to move into the 21st century is a good thing but in reality, this seems nothing more than a down at heel boozer with a layer of discarded cigarette butts carpeting the street outside. Avoid.

I have know the Duke of York for many years and its a pleasure to walk into a friendly, traditional pub , not a restaurant pub , on arrival its a warm welcome and a large variety of real ales as well as the normal lagers and cider , it has a lovely atmosphere ,on reading one of the other reviews it states its untidy ,frankly I loved it , a bit like stepping back in time when a pub was a pub , what's nice is Matt the landlord doesn't charge horrendous prices and even give away a free bowl of crisps on occasion , if you like a PUB then this place is spot on

Good range of real ales. Pub is generally untidy, beer garden is basically a tip dominated by a huge pile of empty beer barrels. With a bit more care it could be a lovely pub. Shame it just looks unkempt and uncared for.

A traditional town pub - slightly hidden away being in a residential street on the periphery of the town centre - but well worth searching out. We were warmly welcomed on our first visit and the range on the bar (including several real ales) is one of the best in Salisbury.

There are a number of pubs in Salisbury that are, for various reasons must visits. This is either for their outstanding beers, heritage, atmosphere, décor, landlord etc. This is one of them. Nicely preserved; note the large Victorian fireplace and the Jug and Bottle hatch 3 great real ales which are very well kept Darts and pool Limited street parking only and reasonable easy access (one step)

The Bradley Hare is an elegant enterprise but tends to cater for diners and private parties rather than dog walkers looking for a pint and a sandwich; indeed the lunchtime snack menu is almost non existent. On occasions the bar closes completely to facilitate private functions. In short, the Bradley Hare is perhaps more of a "restaurant with rooms" rather than a traditional hostelry.

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Ok so Lynne and I are back at The New Inn with friends having yet another superb meal. We have now eaten here a few times and I feel I should commend the staff and the chef ( who we found out his name was Ronnie ) very nice touch when he comes out of the kitchen personally to ask if everything is ok. Once again superb service and our friends also commented on how lovely this superb pub/restaurant is. Even when we pop in for a snack Pizza that is just superb. Well done all at The New Inn. we certainly will be back and so will our friends. You guys deserve to do well as you always go the extra mile. Thank you, so refreshing in this day and age . We will be booking for a meal again l this Saturday night with some more friends. all the very best Ian & Lynne
