I have been here before, and always had excellent food and service. I had the Christmas Dinner Pie, which had turkey, pigs in blankets and stuffing. Probably the best pie I've ever tasted. I had baileys cheesecake and clotted cream ice cream for pudding. Highly recommend.

We've been meaning to eat here for a while as we'd heard lots of good things about this place, and we weren't disappointed. It's got a great feel/ambiance and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in recommending food. And the food was superb! Definitely going back and I'd heartily recommend this place.

This place is a hidden gem, the food is fantastic and you can tell its very authentic Italian food cooked with pride and passion, The staff are really pleasant and service is exceptional, we are staying in the hotel for two nights and I can't wait for the next time I look at the menu, the bedrooms are of a nice standard with comfy beds and air-conditioning units.

So much more than we expected - the pictures on the website struggle to convey the tranquility and flawlessness we found here. This was a perfect out of the way experience. The perfectly professional staff were exactly where they needed to be, but never overbearing. The chef made amazing meals every evening, and i would highly recommend watching him prepare one. The swimming pool was lovely. I seriously cannot exaggerate the extent to which the staff turn this place from a lovely stay into the most relaxing few days I've had for a long time!! Jesse, the manager, was particularly smiley and was a lovely welcome to us tired travellers!

I just visited The Ley Arms with my daughter and it was absolutely beautiful! I wanted to treat my little girl to a night away and Christmas shopping in Exeter and this couldn’t have been a better place to stay. It was so convenient to get into the city but set apart in a lovely little village. My daughter was thrilled with the room (as was I) which was decorated beautifully and so clean! We had dinner and breakfast in the pub/restaurant and it was delicious and so cozy and Christmassy. Needless to say my daughter can’t wait to go back and I would certainly love to return in the new year. Thank you for a wonderful, festive stay 😊

Oh, The Turf Pub in Devon—where a visit is as much about the journey as the destination! Forget about car parks and drive-thrus; this little slice of heaven is only accessible by foot, bike, or boat. Yes, boat. It’s like stepping into a cozy, British fairy tale where good food, great beer, and stunning estuary views await you at the end of a magical trek. The pub itself is a quintessential gem, with its rustic charm and a sprawling beer garden that practically begs you to grab a pint and stay all afternoon. The views? Unreal. Rolling waters, lush greenery, and skies so picturesque you’d think Turner painted them just for you. If the weather’s playing nice, grab a spot outside and watch as boats drift lazily by. If not, the warm, welcoming interior has you covered. And the food! Oh, the food. The menu is packed with locally-sourced delights that range from hearty pub classics to some pretty fancy specials. The Sunday roast? Worth the pilgrimage alone. Pair it with a pint of local ale, and you’re set for bliss. Whether you arrive on foot, bike, or your own personal yacht (hey, we can dream), The Turf is a must-visit. It’s more than a pub; it’s an experience. So, lace up your boots or dust off your oars and head down to this riverside haven. Cheers to good vibes and even better views!
