The Devon Hotel in Teignbridge

Another splendid accessible restaurant and great fish & chips. I shall definitely be returning to the Devon Hotel. I was so impressed with the furnishings and layout and the choice of dining rooms. We got there for lunch at 13.00 and already it was very busy, and the service was excellent.

Everything was perfect, staff really friendly and helpful, food delicious. The bedroom mattress was the worst I've ever been but the staff was ready to find a solution.

Really enjoyed my stay here - really convenient to have a door straight from the room into the outdoors, good little gym area and Sky TV is an added bonus. Despite being near the road, I slept like a baby. What really made this stay was the food and service - dinner in the evening was superb, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I had seen! Very rare to find fried bread and poached eggs on a buffet! Would definitely return in future

Clean and smart rooms. Great breakfast. Very good service at reception and in restaurant. Nice gym with basically everything you need. I will return.

We were walking near the hotel very early Sunday morning and my elderly wife took a stumble and hurt her hand - the early morning staff were very obliging to arrange for my wifes cut hand to be cleaned and bandaged bearing in mind we where not guests - shout out to them - well done

Poor night's sleep due to very hot room and aircon intermittently working (they did fix it when I first arrived, but it kept going off during the night, which woke me up several times) then inexplicably woken up at 7.30am by someone hoovering outside my door...which was utterly unnecessary and thoughtless at that time of day. There were a few other niggily things, but not getting a good night's sleep ultimately determined that I won't be returning.

Staff in hotel very rude, not helpful at all. Rooms small and basic. The pub was a different story very friendly staff great customer service skills.

Amazing Hotel perfectly located in Exeter close to all main seas of Exeter town. Room luxury service was empty and the restaurant bar was cozy and friendly with great food

This was a lovely stay I was in the area for work and usually don't use independent hotels but but the rooms were very comfortable and restaurant was great only gripe would having to swipe a card on arrival which I don't have as I am completely contactless on my phone..

Great hotel, just what was needed after a long drive. Room spotless and had a much needed hospitality tray. We had a lovely evening meal at Carriages, the adjoining restaurant which had a good varied menu and carvery. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, buffet with plenty of options. Would highly recommend The Devon as a stay when in the South West.

Stayed at the Devon Hotel for a single night whilst working away. Lovely hotel, very welcoming and the room was fine for me. The accompanying bar and brasserie was very pleasant with lovely food and the service was top notch. If in Exeter again, this would be my chosen stop gap. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel if you are looking for so.ewhere near Marsh Barton industrial estate, very convenient. Also good for Dawlish and Powderham Castle

Don't know what * rating it has, but it's a fine hotel, decent rooms, good food and great service
