Excellent breakfast in a wonderful building

We had a very delicious full english..very high quality local produce. The tea was served in a beautiful china teapot and china cups..will go back on our next visit to Devon for sure.

All the food was excellent ,apart from the dessert. Strawberry, ricotta tart,with cream.It was left on on display,on a warm evening.such a shame,had to leave most of it. In my opinion, it should have been stored in the fridge.

We had our wedding here this weekend and it was honestly the best weekend we’ve ever had! The staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. After the sad news about Keith we knew how hard it was for them all but they were amazing!! We want to do it all again. Our girls are lactose intolerant and they were so accommodating to what they could have and made them feel so special! Our whole family were amazed with the views and service aswell! We 100% recommend getting married here or even staying!!

Spending a week in Buckfastleigh.Booked an evening table,because the Globe was the only pub doing food.Although dining area was quiet,the food was great,plus some good ale as well.Staff were great and the locals were very friendly Ended up booking a table every night .My brother and I had a great week,thanks to the Globe Inn

Always consistently good, nice people, good wholesome philosophy. Never had a 2nd rate anything here, food, drink, staff and service all superb.

been there several times because of the nice garden and pool table, staff and landlord are unfriendly, not very relaxing atmosphere. It is not worth it in the end, there are nicer pubs in the village.

Gone downhill a little in recent years sadly. I e been caught out more than once on a Saturday lunchtime popping in for a beer and some food only to find they refuse to serve you food s they ah e a wedding on so you can’t really rely on the place anymore sadly. They’ve introduced the ‘Little Lodge’ bar area which is basically a group of repurposed shipping containers in the car park with a restricted menu and no real ales. Time will tell if things improve over the coming months. In the meantime I’ve migrated to the very nice Furzeleigh Mill Inn just up the old road towards Buckfasleigh, and the Abbey Inn right next to the River Dart in Buckfast who both don’t close their operation to regular customers if they have a wedding.

Excellent takeaway, speedy delivery and quality food. Ethically sourced meat too and generous portions. Definitely recommend

Best Kebab Shop Around! Absolutely love this place! The food is always amazing; fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked every time. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The staff are lovely too and always happy to help. It’s great to have inside seating as well, making it a nice spot to sit down and enjoy your meal. Definitely my go to kebab shop!

This is a cosy spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor is charming, with hanging floral arrangements and soft lighting from strings of lights. They have a display counter filled with yummy pastries like flapjacks, brownies, muffins, and cakes. Plus, there's a chalkboard menu that highlights some of their special of the day. Great service and a fantastic view on a sunny day. Food was well presented and delicious Some of the dishes did feel a bit pricey for the size, but we enjoyed them so much that we felt they were worth it.” We will be back

After two visits we will not bother again. The landlord is rude and completely uncommunicative, one syllable answers. His attitude is one of owning his business outright he doesn’t need to bother! No food, no accommodation but could be a fabulous little place if effort wasn’t made with it! Only good thing to say is the music was excellent!!
