We were welcomed by the head bar man, what a gentleman & a legend taking the time to talk to us. We had visited Buckfast Abbey & drove through this quaint little village, parked cheaply in the pay & display & popped into this small village pub. Great little traditional pub, pool table on the right hand side, very clean & throughout. Good selection of beer & ales. We sat in their well tendered gardens. Definitely recommend for a stop off.

Spending a week in Buckfastleigh.Booked an evening table, because the Globe was the only pub doing food.Although dining area was quiet, the food was great, plus some good ale as well.Staff were great and the locals were very friendly Ended up booking a table every night .My brother and I had a great week, thanks to the Globe Inn

Great location and atmosphere, friendly staff (Vicky and Antonio) and wonderful pizzas. We sampled the full range of the Buckfast Abbey Brewery range of bottled beer which was excellent.

A lovely much needed addition to this town! Always greeted with a smile and a chat. Friendly place to grab a bite to eat and drink. You never know what is going to be on the menu, always something a little bit different but usually a safe option for others wanting something more usual. However I would say a set menu is something this place could benefit from. Especially being a mum and wanting to take my child somewhere, it’s not always convenient to just see what’s on the board today, as it’s not always child friendly! But other than that it’s a nice little place that I hope sticks around for a while

We spent a lovely weekend at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, our room was comfortable and the food is truly excellent. The Little Lodge is a great addition to the hotel. It has a trendy, modern vibe and the street food is excellent. A real asset to the area. The hotel is within walking distance of Ashburton, a charming little town, full of independent shops, restaurants and coffee bars. The hotel is located right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and a short drive to many excellent attractions and to the coast. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Had a lovely day at South Devon Railway, and went into cafe for a sandwich and cup of tea, what I thought was 3 ham sandwiches turned out to be one ham two JAM none of them had any spead on the bread and the JAM as just a small amount in the middle, you couldn't see. This cost was over £14 very expensive for what it was. Will think twice before going again.☹
