This was my first experience of eating in this restaurant, and although the food was 'ok' I was disappointed with the attitude of our waitress who came across as very abrupt and not interested in customer service, just bossing the other staff around and then not giving them a chance to do things for themselves. After finishing our main meal we were asked if we would like a dessert, as I went to order mine the waitress totally blanked me and spoke to a member of her team, then proceeded to ask my partner what he would like to have and I ended up without one as she walked off not giving me a chance to speak. When we left she shook my hand and said Caio. Needless to say we will not be returning to this restaurant again.

In Ilchester for a car service and dropped into the Ilchester Arms for breakfast. They weren't cooking at the time but they made a Bacon sandwich for me anyway ❤️ Really very good of them, friendly service that you remember. Thanks !!

We came here on a Sunday to enjoy the carvery. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the lovely owners. Their affable nature and cheery demeanour made us feel relaxed. We ordered a series of well priced drinks and settled in. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and we drank in the vibe. We ordered the carvery, I ordered the beef (turkey and pork was also on offer) there was plenty of meet in my portion. All the trimmings were there and I went back with a plate piled high. The food was absolutely delicious! Meat was tender and juicy and the rest of the food equally delicious! My only disappointment is that I am not in the country long enough to go back there! Big thanks to the owners. You are awesome! Thanks for making us feel welcome!

Great lunch. Seven of us turned up as they had opened. We were are party of 4 adults and 3 children. We all chose completely different meals from the menu and every dish was perfect. Special requests were dealt with and we all thoroughly enjoyed our freshly cooked lunch. Will definitely be back again. Many thanks Diane and Russell for making our family feel welcome.

I'm not sure if the lady treats everyone like this on a Sunday morning. She shouted over a coffee order at the same time stating she has a lot of people to feed and we need to hurry. That moment we were her only customers. When a friend asked for more bread she said eat what you have on the table. It felt so rude. The other customers sat . She seemed very friendly with them. The only difference was that we were all black mix race. She made it clear she did not want to have breakfast with us. So that was the start of our Sunday morning of the Bank Holiday weekend. Also full English did not come with hash brown. That really upset me . The others had hash browns looking over. She was not interested if we enjoyed our stay. Its still on my mind one week later.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. Lovely atmosphere and staff so welcoming and friendly, couldn't of had better service. Food was spot on, as a table of 8 it all arrived quickly, hot and for everyone. Special thank u to the lovely manager, who makes all homemade Portuguese desserts, I had the I think it's called nanas pudding? Sorry if it's wrong but it was just wonderful!! Definitely recommend and hopefully be back out again soon.

Absolutely love this pub for food! Every meal is special and delicious. It used to be one of the nice places to go for something a bit more special and expensive, but they have managed to keep their prices similar and now they are on a par with most decent pub prices but I think the food is still exceptional! Definitely recommend. The only small criticism I have is that twice in recent visits around 9/9:30 staff have cashed up, and although never have explicitly asked us to leave, we have felt we probably should. Which felt a little uncomfortable. Fair enough if it was later, or I would prefer they make us aware what time they want to close when we order. However, definitely my number one recommendation for food near Yeovil currently. There is a car park attached. Not sure about disabled access. I think there is a step and tables are quite close. However, they are very accommodating so I'm sure provision would be made.

Can I just say my experience at the bull is always pleasant unless the owner Lucy is there she is rude. & shouldn't be running a pub. Me and my family were at a table having a laugh and a drunk she come over and told us to shutup we were being to loud the juke box was louder than us we could hardly hear our conversations. I mentioned it to someone who was working behind the bar & a few of them said she's always rude to people and to them.. Not the sort of person to run a pub if you ask me sorry!

Nice little cafe that serve Costa a lot coffee and snacks, also some hot food as well,nice place to relax and check out the local news

The landlady of this pub is extremely rude and a really nasty person! I parked in this pubs car park as I was attending an event close by and couldn’t find any parking anywhere. I unfortunately missed a sign reading patrons only to park here as it was dark and there was no light above it. I wasn’t expecting to be parked there long and was planning on popping in there for a drink afterwards. Unfortunately the event ran on for longer than I had thought it would and as I have my young daughter with me, I didn’t have time to pop in there as I had to get her home. The landlady blocked the car park exit and started shouting abuse at me through my window. When I opened the window and thanked her for allowing me to park there and apologise for not seeing the sign she called me a s**g and a b***h. My daughter was upset about this and was scared of the woman shouting abuse! I am absolutely appalled by the behaviour this woman displayed. I will now never visit this establishment and will be taking it further. There was absolutely no reason for this disgusting and intimidating behaviour and I’m surprised ratings aren’t lower for this pub.

Absolutely brilliant. Two other friends came with us and that was no problem. The food was excellent. Great starters, a good size, well presented and delicious. Main meals were also excellent, the liver was gorgeous, very tender. The cod was a good size and perfectly cooked. Desserts were also spot on, a lovely cheese board as well. The service was also spot on, friendly and helpful. Five out of five from us.

This is a fast food cheap and cheerful resteraunt ideally placed for a bite before or after visiting the museum .The pies are the best choice
