The best sourdough pizza base and lovely veggie toppings. The vegan cheese was delicious too, it was around Ā£14 but running costs are high these days and people have to make a living, I really enjoyed it so I think it was worth it as a lovely treat.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with a view of the sea. It has a friendly feel with nearly all the staff saying hello and smiling. Everyone was keen to answer any queries we had. The bedroom was spacious and clean with a large balcony and chairs to sit and take in the view. The spa facilities are very good, we both had a massage which was expertly done. We enjoyed the outdoor pool, it has plenty of sun loungers and a nice bar. The food in both the restaurant and the pub was excellent, we will definitely visit again.

The gastrobus has been changed! Used to be one of the highlights of the summer holidays. The Gastrodogs were perfection. The menu has the ātotnessedā and itās not good. The portions are smaller. Itās not as good, but the prices are high. Even my 8 year old was full of sadness at the changes.

We had two lovely lunches here while staying in the area this week. The staff were welcoming, helpful and incredibly friendly on both occasions. Food was delicious and great quality. Sea food platter was definitely a hit as well as the fish goujon roll. We arrived on one of the days as the kitchen was about to close but the staff were happy to accommodate us for lunch but didnāt rush us at all. Would love to visit again next time weāre in Thurlestone.

Excellent service, the two lads that served me were kind and friendly. Good choice of vegan options, I was recommended the 'reuben dog' which was 10/10. Definitely not overpriced as you get what you pay for. Great quality good from vans are few and far between but this was my second visit and I was once again very impressed.

2nd time of visiting, both times unsuccessful!! Today although on line it says clearly that it was open, when we got there it didn't even exist anymore! The first time we went it wasn't open, so feeling rather fed up and shan't bother again. So disappointed as we really wanted to support a new local business š

We recently visited the Beach House for a family lunch, bringing a group of 15 people (8 adults, 7 kids). The adults ordered starters and mains, the kids had mains, and we enjoyed wine and cocktails. The final bill was Ā£484. However, the experience was ruined by the restaurantās inflexibility. My daughter is a vegetarian, and unfortunately, there was nothing on the menu that catered to her dietary needs. We knew this would be an issue so we brought a sandwich and some fruit for her, since she had no other option. But the waitress informed us that outside food was not allowed, without any understanding of our situation. As a result, my wife and daughter had to leave the restaurant to eat their meal in the car, while the rest of the family stayed inside to eat. It felt incredibly unfair and left a very sour note on what should have been a pleasant family meal. For what we were spending, I would expect more accommodation for dietary restrictions or, at the very least, some understanding and flexibility in such situations. We were paying customers, and my daughter simply couldnāt eat what was on the menu. The lack of compassion from the staff was disappointing, and itās unlikely weāll be returning.

I have visited Dayer's on a number of occassions over many years. Always impressed with the quality of food and service. The restaurant is situated in the middle of a business park and it caters mainly for local office workers. The lunchtime menu is similar to that you will find in a good pub. Service is quick and efficient. We visited the restaurant on Friday lunchtime. The restaurant was packed with almost every table taken. Avoid the Cajun Chicken Sizzler. The fries accompanying the dish were amazing but the rest failed at every level from concept to execution. Other dishes met our expectations and we would definitely return. If the chef or owners are reading this review, please add more vegetarian options on the menu.

Visited Soar Mill Cove nr Salcombe for a Devon Cream Tea. The view from the hotel lounge was amazing and the best cream tea Iāve ever had! Fabulous scones, ample clotted cream, homemade jam and fresh strawberries š yummy! Would definitely recommend if youāre close by!
