The best restaurants in Quantocks Sedgemoor South West

Usually a better experience than this visit. My breakfast order was wrong, it was taken away, returned but still wrong, so taken away again before finally bringing it back with the correct ingredients. I like my food piping hot, but by this time it was not as hot as I would have liked. However, the food is very good in the whole and there's a lovely atmosphere.

What an amazing find. Two days, two fabulous meals. The fishcakes are without compare and the mushroom and spinach curry would shame any Indian restaurant. Staff are as friendly and helpful as you could hope to find. This is a must if you’re staying locally.

we keep an eye on the specials board-and my wife always goes for the 'blue carbon' salt marsh beef-it is probably the best steak she has eaten. Beautifully cooked and she asks for plenty of fat - often restaurants seem to pre trim their steaks -not here- it arrives with an excellent amount still attached. I go for the mussels when they have them -they are beautiful -if they are not available -scampi and chips are always great. The prices are very reasonable indeed. The hot desserts finish the meal with the same quality.

Went with my husband and daughter, on more than one occasion to this little café A true Gem, staff are always very helpful and cheerful, The cakes are amazing, I have tried to resist but find them too tempting, and unlike some cakes that look lovely but taste is disappointing, these are gorgeous in looks and taste, last time myself and daughter tried the courgette and lime, while my husband had coffee and walnut, both were very tasty, along with an unusual but delicious Mumbai chai, highly recommended. All in all a very nice eating experience with the backdrop of surrounding woodland, and stream that runs past.

This was the worst meal any of us ever had we can not recommend the place cream in scones where off the sandwiches where stale salad was past it’s best coffee was bitter definitely not a place to spend a nice afternoon

Friendly staff. Great food. Nice location

Stayed at this pub. Overnight. Bar staff useless.no direction of where to book in. Owners were awfull. No people skills. Dont have the continental breakfast. Room needs updating. Watch the male owner he likes to swear.

Lovely place for food for the family

The most unwelcoming/unfriendly establishment I have ever been to. I must have been to 100s. Myself, partner and 7 year old went in for lunch keen to part with our money. Lunch for our 7 year old was the same price as the adult meal. I was told there are other pubs you could go to which would welcome children. I will never, ever go here again.
