We thought the cafe would be closed in Feb but the owners also run the shop and post office on the same premises. There was a good selection of cakes and snacks – try the chocolate brownies! Service was friendly so we ordered some sandwiches for our next day's walk and they were pretty good too as we sat on top of the Quantocks ridge.

A friend and I drove to Nether Stowey for the day and enjoyed a really long walk, much of it uphill to a former fortress. (Or something - he's a history buff and I'm not!) The weather was exceptionally humid, so, by the time we got back to the village, I'd developed a powerful thirst. He'd been to the Quantock Tea Room before and liked it so we went there and I had the best pot of tea that I've had in ages. He had a white coffee and a pastry and we sat chatting for half an hour or so. We were the only people there. I'll definitely return here the next time I'm in the area.

We stopped off there today for a break in our journey, The lady could just not be bothered, she was rude on several occasions, we were made to feel very unwelcome. The food was poor quality, I had a tea cake and the butter was in a little sachet that was clearly months out of date. The rest of the food was just average for a mediocre low brow café. We all used the toilet which was accessed by walking up the road and around the back of the café/shop, the toilet was dirty and damp. It was a surprise to find various chemicals stored in bulk just laying around the toilet area which truly posed a potential health and safety hazard. There were two other couples in the café at the same as us, we met them outside, they too commented on the "unusual arrangement" of it all. Maybe we were just unlucky but both my husband and I were shocked by the whole expierience and were very surprised to see such a high ratings on here, it truly deserves a poor rating.

We detoured into Nether Stowey on a long, hot and frustrating drive from Cheltenham to Minehead. Frustrating because us innocent tourists \wanted to bypass the centre of Bristol. Try it without satnav some time. Anyway, by mid afternoon our hunger was getting the best of us and we diverted into Nether Stowey. What a delight! This large village is absolutely beautiful as are the Quantock Hills in which it nestles. The Quantock Tea Room is attached to Nether Stowey's post office/shop. The ladies who run it are charming and friendly and this turned out to be one very welcome break. We couldn't go past the Somerset cheddar and ham sandiches that turned out to be generous and filling. Highly recommended.

We had lunch here as we had arrived a little early to check into our B&B. We had enjoyed a cream tea here about the years ago so we hoped it would still be good. We weren't disappointed; the service was good and the food excellent. We got into a conversation with the owner who said he would get some information for us and sure enough, he delivered it to our B&B the next morning. How's that for good old fashioned service? Would thoroughly record.

No recomendado!

We arranged to meet some lads from the Isle of Man here at 10am on a Friday morning before mountain biking in the quantocks and exmoor. It was raining heavy so none of us had any urgency to get out on the bikes as well as being starving, so all 4 of us ordered the ultimate breakfast. It came with tea/coffee/orange juice and toast. All were brought, ideally, just before the breakfast, which came in a reassuringly timely manor, so that you know it's been cooked fresh and not been sitting on a hot plate. The breakfast was spot on, really filled a hole and prepared us for 30 miles of cross country biking. In fact we didn't eat again until 7pm! We we're let down by one of the guys who couldn't finish it all off, he lost man points for that, although it is huge and great value for a tenner. We then hung around after waiting for the rain to stop, in which time we got some complementary drinks top ups and chatted to the owners. We spent a total of two hours in the tea room and felt very welcomed the entire time. The rain finally stopped and we had an epic ride across the quantocks. We will be back next year for our annual Exmoor trip. Note: the door is stiff, give it a good push! Also, there's a 'system' for the WC, but the staff will explain it to you.

We shared a meal here with colleagues. The location is great being on the outskirts of Bridgwater, and the building looks and feels like a 'proper' country pub, inside and out. Staff are friendly and efficient, and we all enjoyed our meals. Good selection of local beers and the food menu changes regularly.

Superb atmosphere, the best steak I’ve had in my life! (10oz fillet) chef was so down to earth and welcoming - showed us different cuts of steak and told us about their source. Went above and beyond for service - orders taken quickly and all staff friendly and polite. Felt a very cosy and happy little village pub. Will definitely be back for more steak and the fresh salad bowls that come with it! :) Thank you so much ☺️

Fabulous place. I had a yummy bacon and egg sandwich. Delicious. The toasted teacakes look fab with cranberries!
