Amazing food and nice atmosphere We dine there completely randomly after visiting durdle door on the way back home and we weren't disappointed. Place looked busy which in my opinion is always a good sign, but our food was served promptly and was very delicious. Beautiful roast dinner for me and my partner and very tasty kids mels fo my monsters. All of us left with full tummy and happy. Highly recommended.

We booked as a walk in about 45 minutes before we required a table. Once we returned, Clare welcomed us and took us to our table. She immediately brought a bowl of water for our dog and took our orders. Food was really outstanding and the service Clare continued to provide throughout our visit was outstanding. The seafood linguine was excellent with well cooked ingredients brought together at exactly the right time. Our friend commented on the very good standard and quantity of the Hake he had

Popped in here whilst visited the cove for some fudge and to have a look at the “dolls house”. A very cool little house which they have turned into a shop.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. Sometimes in life you come across perfection, and The Castle Inn is one of those examples. Incredible staff who are just the nicest people ever, beautifully clean rooms with high quality tea/coffee and toiletries, outstanding food and a location that’s hard to beat. I’m trying to think of something they can improve, but I can’t. Well done!! 👏

Visited today for the first time to eat, only having visited prior to this for the garden centre years ago. Really enjoyed our meals of scampi and chips and quiche and chips. The chips are lovely and chunky, the little chopped salad lovely and crisp and tasty. Scampi very nice too. Had a try of hubbys quiche, which was very tasty too. Good sized cappuccino each too. The staff were really friendly and are a good team, who seemed to enjoy their work. We also used the farm shop for some treats, and the other shops for a new watering can, and a birthday card for our daughter. Will certainly return and hope to visit to do the walk round the grounds. All in all, a good few hours spent.

Staff had no understanding of allergies and service in general was extremely poor. We walked away before ordering as did those behind us in the queue who overheard the service we received.

Terrible and would not go back. Tables outside were not being wiped down or cleaned between customers and the plastic wicker chairs were all broken and horrible to sit on. All the food came out to find they forgot to put my food order through, so had to sit and wait and by the time it came out my husband and kids has finished. And when it did come out it was the biggest disappointment, DO NOT order the warm chicken and bacon salad with honey mustard dressing, it's basically a bowl or shredded iceberg with some sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes and a bit of onion thrown in and a measly few bits of chicken placed on top, with a pot of mayo in the middle, £14 for this is ridiculous. I must say though as don't like to be too critical on a small business, my husband said the crab burger was lovely. I am all for supporting small businesses but I would never return here.

We had the Chorizo bites, which were nice but not very hot. Halloumi fries with chilli jam as a side which were lovely. For mains i had the Duck confit which was beautifully cooked and the gravy was lovely. My partner had the burger which he enjoyed but thought the bun was stale. Overall it was a good experience, especially due to the atmosphere and we would come back :)

If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable stay in Dorset, this is the place for you. The staff are excellent and are always willing to help whatever your needs. Breakfast is very good with a good selection for everyone. The evening menu is equally good with a good choice. The hotel is ideally situated for both Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and just a short drive to Weymouth, Dorchester and Bournemouth.

After a walk along the coastline we decided to grab a quick bite to eat before heading home. Just a few portions of chips and fish but can say they're the best chips I've had in a long time. Fluffy, crisp and piping hot. Didn't have to wait to long. Probably about five min, and cheaper than a cup of coffee.

Thought we'd give it a shot to have real seafood, not fish and chips. They do have real seafood, but a very limited menu, and the chef seems to be a bit afraid of spices and salt. Fairly bland food overall, though the balsamic reduction on the veg was nice. It didn't help that when we asked for salt (there was none on the table) it exploded on the side of my wife's plate. Luckily, most of the salt explosion stayed on the side, leaving just enough on the food to make it OK. I didn't argue the bill, but I also don't think I'd return.
