The best restaurants in Banwell and Winscombe North Somerset South West

Very tired and run down. Ordered the Sunday lunch. Everything cooked from frozen and no root veg mash, cabbage or stuffing as we were expecting from the menu. Large undercooked carrots and peas were the only vegetables we had. Didn’t bother complaining as it was so bad, we just wanted to get out of there. Staff were nice enough but the place requires a lot of work to get it back up to scratch. Until then… avoid, avoid, avoid!

Picked up a takeaway and staff were very friendly and polite, food was ready very quickly and very tasty! Will definitely order again!

The food was so good, really good, but I was ignored at the bar for an almost comical amount of time.

2 couples spent an enjoyable early evening including food and drink at The Brewers. Good food, good service and staff that care. Steak night was 1st class.

The woodborough inn was an amazing place to stay, all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was brilliant. We’re did the thatchers tour just down the road and had a lovely time, also the eggs Benedict for breakfast was the best I’ve ever had 😁

We went here for my birthday treat for a afternoon tea. A lovely idea BUT the atmosphere was unwelcoming. We were told firmly that if we wanted a fruit tea it would be extra.no choice in sandwiches,scone or cake. There were three of us so we shared the cakes (three different ones) with a third each. Like the other review there were spme nice looking cakes on display and it would have been nice to be offered some sort of choice. The main thing is really the lack of warmth or friendliness of the staff. The tea was plonked in front of us. Noone asked if we were ok or enhoying it. No goodnye or anything like that. We did go back a few werks later for an afternoon tea with a psychic. We rhoughtbit might be better. It was not. The psychic was appalling and for £16 a head we got a dry tasteless tiny sliver of victoria sponge on a plate covered in cling film. Again, no choice. Firmly told by the unsmiling oerson serving that fruit tea was extra!!!!!. Sadly I will not go back. A smile costs nothing

We ordered 4 items, took them home only to discover that only one was actually what we had ordered. This was on a quite night with only one other customer in the shop. It was too near their closing time to return them. All of the dishes were sickly sweet with no flavour. I could not tell if one was chicken or pork. The pancake rolls (we had not ordered) were tasteless. The chips were soggy and not freshly cooked.
