Woolpack Inn in North Somerset

70th birthday celebration. We reserved the covered conservatory known as 'The Firepit' beyond the restaurant. An exceptional private space. Staff super helpful and friendly from first point of enquiry. The Woolpac staff also called to check on our needs for the special day in advance of our reservation. We had the space for 5 hours, and it was well presented, clean, and ready for our guests. We enjoyed a family meal early evening, and the food was of exceptional quality and portion size. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. All in all, it was a fantastic and enjoyable time for us all for this milestone celebration. The Woolpac Inn is highly recommended.

Popped in to the Woolpack for lunch while in the area and found it an excellent experience. Had a delicious cheese and mushroom omelette, salad and coleslaw (loaded with mushrooms! 😋😋). Service was prompt and atmosphere really lovely. Will definitely be back again! 😊

A lovely farm shop cafe that serves delicious breakfasts and vegetarian is too.Plenty of seating inside and out. Helpful friendly staff.

Asked for a vegan version of the veggie breakfast. I was assured there was no cross contamination in the cooking progress. My food arrived with a BLACK PUDDING on the plate and then they took it back and appologised and then when it came back my hash brown had EGG on it. It put me off the rest of my meal not happy as it’s not hard to cater to vegans when they’ve already said they can.

Only stopped for a quick coffee, but place seemed nice.

Amazing new farm shop all fresh produce and gifts and meat and cheese. Friendly staff and a happy boss Well worth a visit So cant wait to buy the pizza from the oven they bake and prepare th self's.

We had our mother's wake at The Woolpack Inn. Staff were very good. We enjoyed the buffet. Good value. Large room that was easily big enough for our party. Recommended.

Over the years I've visited the Woolpack in from time to time. Where it was a quiet locals pub, run by a Scottish couple, to today where it appears to be very popular. On the surface it's amazing. Great decor. Extended and expanded inside and out. Beautiful. Different spaces for all ages. The place is popular and had a lot of money spent on it. But for me, claustrophobic and hustle bustle. Staff running round with earphones like a small security detail. I'm sure it's great for efficency but adds to adds to my experience of rush, rush, rush. Also the overly attentive staff asking "How's the food?","Would you like another drink?" Added to the feeling of being rushed. This was prior to being told that we only had the table for an hour and a half. Would I go again.. Perhaps! Perfect for when I want limited time with the In-laws. (disclaimer, I love mine). Not so great for a relaxing evening with loved ones. I wouldn't go for a Valentines date. Oh ye, the food. It's not a traditional pub/locals food selection like pie, scampi, steak etc. It has a lot of Greek choices. Though nice, I was confused. After choosing my favourite, Steak, I was more than impressed with how it was cooked. Friends that were with us also loved their choices. Price - £££ Top end of Pub meal prices. Value - ££ ok. Quality - Good.

Unfortunately we have had two separate occasions where the service has been awful on arrival. Both times we booked the use of the firepit area, both were speacial occasions and both times when we arrived our booking had been changed due to either double bookings or a bigger party wanting the space, on the second occasion we were even told that the other booking were only booked that morning, unlike ours which was booked a week in advance and I even phoned midweek to check to confirm our booking (due to the double bookings on our previous time). When booking we were asked to give a phone number, this seemed pointless due to no contact being made on both occasions to let us know our booking has changed, a courteous call would have made this slightly better. We were very disappointed, whats the point of a booking system if you dont get what you booked.

Terrible service double booked us for a second time has ruined a special occasion staff blamed the system automatically changing tables a poor excuse as we double checked after last time. If people are booking make sure you lie about how many people are coming as they prioritise larger groups of people.

Stopped by for a pint, will pop back for Burger Monday at some point !

This pub is an absolute delight! From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the fantastic food, every visit is a treat. The breakfast in the farm shop is simply unbeatable! Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, and the ideal way to start the day.

Absolutely superb evening had by all, Courtney our smiley waitress was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious all round, being a group of eight and our party ordering different meals this is a rarity but this was our third time at this little gem of a pub and it never fails to impress. Thank you to the whole team ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Went to the Woolpack for Sunday lunch. The decor and atmosphere were excellent and the food very nice. Portion sizes on the smaller side compared to some, the meals came out in dribs and drabs and the grill section of the menu was unavailable. Just note that a service charge was added at the till which makes it almost impossible for someone to say no! There was no reference to this until we came to pay.

First time in about 3 years. Absolutely brilliant, nothing I could fault (and I’m very critical). The food, and service was second to none. The staff were so pleasant, and attentive (especially Poppy) who made our visit very relaxing. I would highly recommend this venue for whatever occasion.

I don't like doing this but waiting 40+ minutes for a take out Roast Sunday dinner was a little too much and with a service charge as well!!. But give credit to the duty manager who refunded me the price of the meal. Now turning to the meal only 2 thin slices of beef, 3 really small roast potatoes. There was sufficient veg to compensate though.

Excellent service, staff and environment. Recommended.

We choose the Woolpack as the venue for my Dad’s wake and I’m so glad we did, the food was amazing and plentiful the staff were so helpful and friendly I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We went to the Woolpack today 4/2/25 around 1.30 i must say the two servers we amazing a young lady and a young man.They were so friendly and helpful they are a credit to your business and gave customer excellent service 👍👍

We had a lovely mid week meal here. The service was swift, great portion sizes and the food was delicious.

Actually visited the Farm Shop for a birthday breakfast, it was great. Top food, great service, and just a nice place to go in the morning. Will be visiting again.

Food is really nice and the restaurant is lovely. Staff are really friendly and great with dogs. The connection the the farm shop is really nice, everything feels very wholesome. There's been some investment to an extension which is really nice and the outdoor seating are makes for a lovely beer garden!

A very nice out of the way pub that's just off the main road so very easy to get to if you know about it. A nice mix of clientele and the place has lots of variety in the venue inside and out, outdoor seating, an outside cafe, and fairly quick, friendly staff..

Good food and drink. Highly recommend.

We visited the Woolpack Inn on Boxing day for a family lunch, 11 adults and 3 young children. We were advised that it would be a limited menu due to the Christmas holidays. The menu is quite extensive and we were told on arrival the choices which we unavailable or in low supply, there was plenty of choice, so no disappointment. The staff serving us were amazing, extremely attentive and mindful of the young children and their parents. The tables are nicely spaced out which is great with younger family members. The food all arrived together, piping hot, generous portions and delicious. Car parking is also easy! Thank you to all for a lovely lunch and we will definitely be back.

Food is always great and the farmshop cafe is welcoming and pleasant with well spaced out tables. Large group meal also this month for Christmas celebrations was well organised and food was wonderful.

Disappointed......lovely looking pub...tastefully decorated. Came as a group of colleagues after work . Throughout this experience our waiter was friendly, helpful and efficient ( blonde lady). First alarm for me......extensive choice of mains.....second alarm, wanted something with salad, but with a rocket allergy i was told all salad is pre bgged so eat salad with rocket .third alarm my pint of lime and soda contained the pouring spout from the lime bottle. The waiter was very apologetic, and it was replaced. I ordered spicy mince with rice and tortillas and guacamole and sour cream. Arrived with half plate rice and half plate mince few broken tortilla on the top and teaspoon each sour cream and shop bought guacamole.... Not spicy, more like mince and gravy. The other issue was the couple shouting a conversation across the restaurant from the fire by the bar to another couple sat at the far end of the restaurant.... and no staff asked them to stop. Hence, despite the fact I am told the food is good here, I have been twice in the last few months and not convinced. Not co.ing back....want to eat food better that I cook, not ping food. But that waiter is amazing!

Large pub which has recently been extended and I suspect modernised. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food (steak & ale pie) was good as was the accompanying vegetables.

The food was OK, the service was OK too. One issue was noise from loud guests on another table. We requested seating further away but were still disturbed. Not the warmest room either. Shame that there was a service charge added to the bill, I prefer to tip for good service when it is given.

We were recently involved in organising a funeral at the nearby Weston Crematorium. The staff were very extremely helpful and professional in assisting in the memorial event held afterward, food was excellent, the venue was comfortable and welcoming and all the staff friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this establishment for similar events.

We personally believe that this is the best pub/ restaurant in Weston BY A DISTANCE food 1st class, staff exemplary, reasonable prices THE ONLY GRIPE IS THE DISABLED TOILET IN THE PUB NOT GREAT too small BUT TO BE FAIR IF YOU ASK THE STAFF THEY WILL / CAN OPEN UP THE BIGGER DISABLED TOILET IN THE FARM SHOP TO WHICH SERVES AN AMAZING BREAKFAST 5 stars all the way

Great food lovely atmosphere, cosy with log fire on

Had coffee and peppermint tea today in the cafe/ shop. Four out of six of our party had breakfast. When fully staffed, the service in the cafe is great. Not so much today, it was busier than expected and the two staff struggled to cope.

Having found this place in the last few months we have returned several times. With the farm shop, cafe and bar and restaurant it certainly caters for many different tastes.

Our go to pub restaurant for many work get togethers and family birthdays etc. Huge portions (in my opinion) good service and a great atmosphere.

The food was amazing, the staff were friendly jolly and polite, good drinks selection as well.

Had my daughers 30th breakfast in the cabin. Great space which included an open fire, which was going when we arrived. The staff were very attentive and food was good (beans in a bowl!!). We were left to enjoy the cabin which was great as we had some small children enjoying playing with balloons. We wasn't rushed at all throughout the breakfast. Plus the guys bought us out our cake and joined in with our birthday song. We will be back. Thank you Woolies. 😁

Been coming h here for years, recently though ignorant builders working at the pub have been taking up space on the car park, even parking in the disabled bays, so maybe we will try somewhere else until the works done.

While visiting a different area from where we were staying, we saw a van with the Woolpack advertised on the side 😀 so decided to look it up, found it's location, had a quick recky, liked it so decided to phone and make a booking. We went along, the service is good, the food is excellent 👌 😋 and the meal portion wise is certainly not skimpy. You get a superb meal that you will enjoy and you'll know that you have eaten it. I had the fish & chips my wife had the steak pie &veg 🥧. Top marks for the Woolpack, if we come back to Western Super Mare we would most certainly go and eat there again. Thank you for good service 🙏 and two most enjoyable meals. O'h the lager shandy is also quite tasty.

Really nice place with a really nice atmosphere. The owner popped over and introduced himself to my family and he was really friendly and quite the jokester. The atmosphere was really warm and felt very fresh. Everything looked really nice and the design of the place was exemplary. They had a very nice outside area and also a semi outside, covered area. Also, if there is a bit of rain /wind. This establishment is located close to the motorway, so it's very easy to drop in for some food and it is a million times better than any kind of services. My Dad asked to come back here after a visit awhile ago, to impress my dad isn't that easy, so he must have enjoyed it last time! It was a busy Saturday night when we got there but we were shown to our table quickly and drinks ordered and menu's supplied. Drinks arrived and dinner requests taken, my self and my sister had the Chicken Kebab with salad and Woolpack chips, WOW is was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, feta and olives included. Dad had Scampi and chips and mushy peas and Trev had the BBQ pulled pork.....empty plates all round, yummy. A little bit of a wait but it was Bank Holiday Saturday night so only to be expected, it was busy. Super lovely puddings, Lemon Jamaican Crunch, Banoffee Cheesecake and two Knickerbocker Glories all consumed, all fit to bursting point. All staff were lovely, polite and friendly, even under pressure, so Thank you for a lovely evening xxx

Food was okay, service very average.... They were selling out of date food which was a concern. Nice little place just needs a bit of attention to detail with service and food offer.

Food was really good as always. Lady behind the bar was awful. Couldn’t even say hello or good evening, ignored us then stood by the till and said… Yes ! No customer service skills which was disappointing for a front of house member of staff.

Stopped here for tea, was by far the best roast dinner I’ve ever had! Everything tasted fresh, was beautiful and hot! The staff were very friendly and welcoming! Could not fault anything from start to finish! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

Comfortable pub, lots of different types of places to sit from cosy corners to big tables or outside if it's warm. The menu is very interesting, quite a bit of Greek food on the menu along with lots of familiar rib sticking meals. The food is plentiful, well cooked and tasty. Service was a little distracted and slow but not so slow as to be a problem for a leisurely evening. Worth a visit!

The Sunday roast was excellent!!! Great service, lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. The price if the roast dinner was value for money and competitively prices, good value. 5☆

Nice food ,but ripped off with a service charge , went in6 the bar not the restaurant, wasn't offered a menu ,I ordered drinks and food at the bar and still I was charged a service charge, what a rip off.

Nice dog-friendly pub with plenty of seating outside. The space is tidy and pretty. We ate lunch here and ordered the Greek salad with chicken and the signature Woolpack burger. I was disappointed that they didn't have ingredients to make the traditional ploughman's but it was nice fresh food.

Food was ok. It was nice not to cook, but I'd have made better at home. The roasties are not like any ive had before, a whole potato, mash in side and slightly chewy outside. Chicken was DRY. No extra gravy offered and hardly any on the plate. The rest was ok. Cauliflower cheese and cabbage which were an extra were the best part.

We were recently on holiday in the area near The Woopack and visited three times. Twice just for drinks and the other time for a meal. We were both really impressed with the venue. The staff were not only friendly and helpful. They were attentive and worked hard to make sure that customers had an enjoyable visit. The food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. I was taken by surprise, considering how busy the place was, that our food was served so quickly. I was also surprised that the man serving us our food noticed my glas was almost empty and volunteered to fetch me a refill whilst I enjoyed my dinner. That doesn't happen very often these days! Being the person that I am, I was impressed with the standard of the decor that was completed during a recent refurbishment. It is of a very high standard and the designer was very good. I would like to say that I was going to visit again soon but as we now live in Kent, it would be a long drive, but The Woolpack is certainly a magnet to revisit the area.

We only called in for Breakfast Not the best experience. Poached egg was hard and bagel was solid. Baked beans more liquid than beans.

Lovely roast dinner. We all had the beef with extra cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. All cooked well and very good portions.

Fish and chips were served on a piece of paper so I had to scrape it off on to the plate. If I wanted food served like that I'd have gone to a chippy.

Booked a table but didn't realize there was a difference between the farm shop restaurant and the main restaurant. Evidently the restaurant is for serious diners and the farm shop for snacks hot drinks and all day breakfasts etc. They cater for everyone.The staff were very pleasant and enthusiastic.I cannot fault.
